Calling this as Munchausen's by proxy

Mom posts GoFundMe for teenager who "came out" as T at 11, had her breasts removed at 15 (!), and now realizes it's a mistake and wants surgery to get new breasts.

She's 16 and even looks like Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

by Anonymousreply 93September 15, 2020 5:40 AM

Gypsy, put that bottle of whiskey down! You know you're allergic!

by Anonymousreply 1September 13, 2020 12:02 AM

Oh, she's on the autism spectrum. I'm so surprised. /s

by Anonymousreply 2September 13, 2020 12:05 AM

And so it begins....

by Anonymousreply 3September 13, 2020 12:05 AM

Her mother should use the Go Fund Me money to hire a lawyer and sue the quacks who mutilated a mentally handicapped child.

by Anonymousreply 4September 13, 2020 12:14 AM

"I insisted that I go through with surgery, a double mastectomy. At this point, I was starting to have doubts but I assured myself it was normal..."

When you are a FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD CHILD and all your family members, friends, teachers, therapists, and a team of doctors have been cheering you on and telling you how courageous you are to be trans FOR YEARS, I would imagine that the pressure is so enormous that suddenly telling them "I don't want to do this anymore" seems nearly impossible. The "affirmation only" treatment method is a disaster.

I want these people to pay for what they have done to these vulnerable kids. Big time.

by Anonymousreply 5September 13, 2020 12:16 AM

MY TITS !

by Anonymousreply 6September 13, 2020 12:16 AM

Quite big tits.

by Anonymousreply 7September 13, 2020 12:36 AM

So fucking ridiculous. This should be illegal before age 21 (at least). So stupid.

by Anonymousreply 8September 13, 2020 12:37 AM

These teenagers are always the nuttiest people you will ever meet. They are incapable of happiness. And its always the FTM though with all this crazy drama. And why are they all fat.

by Anonymousreply 9September 13, 2020 12:45 AM

Actually, R9, its the MtF's that have the higher suicide rate.

by Anonymousreply 10September 13, 2020 12:49 AM

She's on the same side of the issue as DL.

She regrets transitioning and says that at the time she started, the overwhelming number of people encouraging her, along with the lack of rigorous psychological evaluations, made it too easy for her to end up another victim of the Gender-Dysphoria Industrial Complex.

by Anonymousreply 11September 13, 2020 4:57 AM

Never let anyone tell you who you are or what you can be!!!!! Unless they are offering you a reality show and a free pass into Harvard!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 12September 13, 2020 5:05 AM

Generally the MTF are the ones screaming their heads off about not being accepted as real women. But FTM teenage girls are the highest numbers right now and I bet many will regret any permanent changes later

by Anonymousreply 13September 13, 2020 5:06 AM
When I was 13 I was put on hormone blockers, which keep the estrogen from producing. This is what was recommended and it made me happy because I thought I was sure. After this, I gained around 40-50 pounds due to hormone imbalances, making my body issues worse.

This is where her parents should have put the kibosh on this bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 17September 13, 2020 5:41 AM

People who even question giving children hormone blockers are called monsters by everyone. Look at Mario Lopez who had to mea culpa for a while after he just expressed some discomfort with the idea. Parents have been guilted into this by the media who has been strangely obedient to the movement

by Anonymousreply 18September 13, 2020 5:43 AM

This is a difficult situation. If I were a parent, I would want the kid to wait until the age of 18, when the child now has the legal right to make their own medical decisions. (Then, they cannot blame the parent later.) However, by the age of 18, it's too late for some of the hormones to have maximum effect.

If my kid were suicidal due to the feeling that they were in the wrong body, I would probably cave and let them go ahead and go on the hormones, though.

by Anonymousreply 19September 13, 2020 5:45 AM

JK Rowling isn't so crazy. Maybe the little Harry Potter shits should sit down with people like this before opening their mouths again.
But my doctors didn’t take into account my autism, body issues, or [bold]other mental illnesses[/bold] when allowing me to transition.

Wondering how much of "other mental illnesses" are imposed on her by Mommy Grifterest.

by Anonymousreply 22September 13, 2020 7:51 AM

Sounds like she just wants money.

Maybe some dumb dykes will send her some.

by Anonymousreply 23September 13, 2020 7:57 AM

R19

The kids are told by their peers (and sometimes creepy adults) online to threaten suicide to force their parents to allow medical transition.

Meanwhile, the lowest period of suicidality for trans people is while they're waiting to finish transitioning, probably because they have something to look forward to. Once transitioning is complete, suicides start creeping up again, almost definitely because the same problems that made them want to transition (profound mental illness) weren't actually solved.

by Anonymousreply 24September 13, 2020 8:04 AM

^^^Ding, ding, ding. What we have been saying all along. Trans is mental illness. Period. Body dysmorphia plain and supple.

Some highly disturbed people want to cut off their own limbs because deep in their soul they "feel like" paraplegics. We do not entertain their insanity', we try to get them mental help to accept their healthy, intact bodies..

They're grifters - look at this part
So, I thought that I would change my campaign and move forward with the voice surgery. Before I identified as male, I was very involved in musical theater and had many great roles. But when I identified as male, I got put into chorus because my voice and identity didn’t match. My love of theatre began to fade away. I thought once I was on hormone therapy, that would change, but it did not because my voice was no longer strong and I lost my ability to belt. I went of T after just over a year and found that my voice was frozen in the “middle of male puberty”

Ursula will take your singing voice but give you big tits!

Wouldn't you think the whole hormone switcheroo would aid in weight loss rather than in weight gain? Going from female to male should make it easier to be thin. Poor girl, but at least she didnt have any bottom surgery.

I thought dr’s would not do the surgeries until the subject was over 18 just for this reason. When did this change?

by Anonymousreply 40September 13, 2020 1:13 PM

A mastectomy is an elective surgery. It doesn’t carry any health risks, unlike trying to turn a penis into a vagina.

by Anonymousreply 41September 13, 2020 1:29 PM

Teens can get breast implants, so it makes sense that they can undergo breast removal surgery as well.

by Anonymousreply 42September 13, 2020 1:30 PM

I would have expected MTF to be more likely to get fatter.

by Anonymousreply 43September 13, 2020 2:04 PM

This is what happens when you give children access to the internet.

by Anonymousreply 44September 13, 2020 2:14 PM

None of this is surprising - I feel horrible for her as she does seem to be intelligent and articulate (if she wrote it herself).

The world is a confusing and cruel place for kids going through puberty, which she most likely was at age 11. You're still a child going through all of these changes, coupled with this wave of societal expectations (body, dating, makeup, etc.) and the period where there's some of the lowest levels of empathy and kindness among children.

It's difficult to treat kids and their struggles because they don't have the life experience or knowledge to accurately communicate what issues they are struggling with or how to fix it.

The echo chamber on the internet needs to be stopped.

by Anonymousreply 45September 13, 2020 2:25 PM

I think it’s funny that some #TrannyPanic posters think everything they read on the internet is real.

by Anonymousreply 46September 13, 2020 2:41 PM

I work with three (yes, three) lesbians who, within the past few years, have all come out as trans and had double mastectomies. (I work in academia ... go figure.)

Something about having major surgery to "affirm" your gender identity just feels so wrong to me. I don't get it. What if we treated anorexia the same way? If an emaciated woman "feels" fat, we don't accommodate her distorted reality by supporting her as she continues to diet.

R15 Intersex kids with XXY chromosomes who have excess breast tissue can get it removed as young as 13, if it causes them distress, so yes - it’s plausible that a kid who claims to be trans can have their breast tissue removed at age 15.

by Anonymousreply 58September 13, 2020 4:58 PM

NONE of these "trans" people in the media is intersex. They are just fans of the "Gender Identity" magical thinking notion. The chromosomal intersex conditions people may have are unique to whether they are male or female, it is not just one condition and they are chromosomally dependant.

by Anonymousreply 59September 13, 2020 5:57 PM

R53 Brittany Spears famously had breast implants at 16. Other teens have gotten them.

I am sure the FDA recommends that plastic surgeons not do work on mentally ill people for elective procedures, but it happens all the time. Think of those who become "freaks", like that cat-faced woman and the man who wanted to become a Ken Doll and is now female.

The FDA can make recommendations but these recommendations aren't necessarily followed.

We doctors use a load of medications "off label" - that is not just for the conditions for which they received FDA approval. And it can be perfectly fine. An example is to use HGH for older people who want to lose weight and retain muscle mass. It was never approved for that but is used off label. And in fact, used off label it can promote tumor growth. Still, no MD gets in trouble for prescribing it off label.

by Anonymousreply 60September 13, 2020 8:31 PM

Of course she has pink hair...

by Anonymousreply 61September 13, 2020 11:01 PM

Is enabling a little child’s unrealistic expectations the answer though? They will never be happy, even if they transition, they still dont have a Y chromosome or they will never have 2Xs. Forcing everybody to conform to their world view is like living with somebody with OCD and being forced to do everything they say or else they will have a meltdown. Nothing will ever be good enough. Medical prfessionals should know better.

In the GoFundMe bio she says she was put on hormone blockers at 13. I don't know how big her breasts would have been at 15 if she was on blockers.

by Anonymousreply 65September 13, 2020 11:43 PM

R59 The question is: why are intersex kids considered old enough to consent to surgical mutilation? This attitude of pressuring them to conform to one sex or the other has paved the way for “gender-affirming” surgeries in general. Not just for intersex kids but for ANY child who feels uncomfortable with what their chromosomes have dealt them. So here we are.

by Anonymousreply 66September 13, 2020 11:49 PM

While this is a sad situation, it was a predictable outcome.

People don't "deserve" it when bad things happen. But, just because they shouldn't be blamed does not mean that it wasn't a highly probable outcome and easily foretold.

by Anonymousreply 74September 14, 2020 2:10 AM

When I hit puberty at 11 I was completely weirded out by the hair sprouting. This was in 1971 . Back then most people didnt start puberty till 15-16. I knew it was part of growing up,but it was hard to deal with when no one around you had even the hint of body hair. Of course I got over it quickly, but for a minute it was an issue . Thank god there wasnt anyone around to shove drugs down my throat to stop it growing or I might have taken it. To cut kids bodies and to shove pills down their throats (with god knows what long term effects) is a fucking crime. I just dont understand where reason has gone in this world.

R76 Yes -I’m the freak for suggesting that no child should have their genitals irrevocably altered because they don’t like having them, or because they are gender-nonconforming and convinced that they are trapped in the wrong body. I’m the freak for suggesting that it’s a decision they should only make as an adult.

by Anonymousreply 78September 14, 2020 4:10 AM

I was repulsed by puberty, like many kids I was happy being a child and did not welcome those changes and I wished they hadn't happened, but it all moves along quickly, and I was fine after a bit.

I am assuming a lot of the currently popular gender dysphoria eagerly claimed by parents as "trans" isn't anything of the kind. Statistically the majority of young people outgrow it after puberty and are gay adults. That's the thing the Trans Agenda never wants you to hear! They are systematically erasing gay kids so they do not become gay adults.

by Anonymousreply 79September 14, 2020 5:02 AM

When someone stops using hormone blockers do the hormones not just kick in as they normally would have?

She didn't have her tits surgically removed, so maybe even without hormone blockers she would have been Tina Tinytits?

by Anonymousreply 80September 14, 2020 8:37 AM

For those asking, of course girls have breasts at 15. (Though a few women are naturally kind of flat, and will be as adults, they still need a bra of some sort.)

Nearly all girls start menstruating during the middle school years: 11-12 years old.

Most girls need a "training bra" or a light camisole shirt (like a feminine wife beater) towards the end of elementary (10-ish).

As a 12-year old, I had a mini nervous breakdown because--as an athlete who took dance lessons everyday and swam, played tennis, etc) I didn't want to spend 3-5 days every month painfully bleeding away, dealing with cramps, and hormonal depression.

I'm so glad there wasn't some perv around whispering in my ear that if I were a man, I wouldn't have to sit out my favorite activities.

by Anonymousreply 81September 14, 2020 8:57 AM

Jazz had his surgery before the age of 18, so there must be legal loophole that allows kids to have these procedures before 18.

It’s truly sickening and bizarre to see how the medical establishment allows mentally immature kids who are probably dealing with mental illness go through with self mutilation.

by Anonymousreply 82September 14, 2020 1:23 PM

This is what happens when people let the Internet raise their kids for them.

by Anonymousreply 83September 14, 2020 3:30 PM

The legal loophole allowing minors to have hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery, at least in the U.S., is parental consent.

by Anonymousreply 84September 14, 2020 3:34 PM

^^And as much as I loathe JK Rowling, who is a creep and a bully, she is correct that there will be a scandal over young girls in the UK, many autistic, who regret the permanent changes done to their bodies after pediatric transitioning.

by Anonymousreply 85September 14, 2020 3:38 PM

R84 Parents no longer have rights when it’s comes to the trans lobby. Any parent that resists is labeled a transphobic child abuser and risks losing custody of their kid.

On the other hand parents that go along willingly are hailed as tolerant heroes.

It’s seriously twisted logic no matter how you look at it. The trans lobby is a totalitarian movement.

I’m talking about Rowling outside of the public sphere, she’s an OCD narcissist who puts on the persona of a humanitarian ala Degeneres, but her message stands correct about “trans” kids, even when the ugly stuff about her eventually surfaces. I just wish more upright public figures did the same.

by Anonymousreply 89September 14, 2020 5:11 PM

Twitter keeps trying to cancel JK, and every time, her books shoot to the top of the bestseller list in response. Twitter does not equal reality.

by Anonymousreply 90September 14, 2020 8:38 PM

Well I heard that JK just released a new book about a serial killer who - get this - is a MAN who dresses in WOMEN’S clothes! How does she come up with these ideas?

I’m not sure if the public is ready for something that bold and original, though.

by Anonymousreply 91September 15, 2020 4:48 AM

R74 do you include circucision of babies and boys genital mutilation? There isn’t a law against that unfortunately, and as long as there isn’t, these other genital mutilations of childreb will continue.

I can’t imagine not loving becoming an adult. When I was a kid, I constantly fantasized about being old enough to have pubic hair and to fuck (women, not men, interestingly—I was only interested in naked women as a kid, but as an adult my sexual orientation is 100% gay). In fact, when I was prepubescent, I was so into the idea of having pubic hair that I went to a yard sale and bought some girl’s Barbie dolls so I could cut the brown hair off them and attach it to my pubic area just to see what it would look like.

I only did it once, and I didn’t glue it to my skin or anything; I think I just held it in place and looked at myself in the mirror.
