Evan Rachel Wood described alleged abuse suffered at the hands of Marilyn Manson

The testimony is already a few months old, but Twitter's only started to pay attention to it now.

Well, it sucked to be her.

by Anonymousreply 1September 12, 2020 6:10 PM

Rose is going to be resentful of Evan that she didn't think of this first.

by Anonymousreply 2September 12, 2020 6:13 PM

He’s a slob.

by Anonymousreply 3September 12, 2020 6:17 PM

I don’t believe her.

by Anonymousreply 4September 12, 2020 6:28 PM

R4, I halfway BLAME her.

He’s like Trump. He doesn’t hide his asshole nature.

I swear, people don’t think. Or they think they’re the exception.

by Anonymousreply 5September 12, 2020 6:32 PM

She has no motive to lie. He is on par or worse then H Weinstein.

by Anonymousreply 6September 12, 2020 6:35 PM

R 4: You are wrong. He his his psychopathy with love bombing in the beginning. Once he had her love and admiration , he quickly became the Abuser who keeps his victim quiet through fear, humiliation and isolation

by Anonymousreply 7September 12, 2020 6:38 PM

R 4: You are wrong. He his his psychopathy with love bombing in the beginning. Once he had her love and admiration , he quickly became the Abuser who keeps his victim quiet through fear, humiliation and isolation

by Anonymousreply 8September 12, 2020 6:38 PM

I believe her, I always wondered why she was with that creep for so long.

by Anonymousreply 9September 12, 2020 6:43 PM

Candice is so stunningly beautiful for her age. God is good

by Anonymousreply 10September 12, 2020 6:49 PM

I don;t get her claims of being "only eighteen" and being 'groomed." An 18 year old is legally able to marry the man of her choosing, as she did.

That doesn't mean her abuse at his hands was okay or in any way her fault, but she seems to be implying he was preying on a child, and she was not legally a child at that point.

by Anonymousreply 11September 12, 2020 6:50 PM

'Grooming' by abusers can happen at any age, R11. It's a function of the abuse process, not an assumption of age.

by Anonymousreply 12September 12, 2020 6:53 PM

Reaching the age of 18 does not confer wisdom or street smarts or worldliness.

by Anonymousreply 13September 12, 2020 7:19 PM

Grooming is a buzzword that conjures up thoughts of child molestation and pedophelia.. I hate when that word is used to refer to an adult getting involved with another adult

by Anonymousreply 14September 12, 2020 7:26 PM

They cut off the part where she talks about how he shocked her genitals and then raped her for hours.

by Anonymousreply 15September 12, 2020 7:28 PM

Couldn’t she figure out just by looking at him he would be trouble? Even just by watching his videos? The dude has issues!

by Anonymousreply 16September 12, 2020 7:33 PM

Popbitch mentioned Marilyn Manson dared Zac Efron to snort a line of cocaine in the shape of Mickey Mouse's outline (The Disney Logo) which he did.

by Anonymousreply 17September 12, 2020 7:35 PM

Kinda makes me wonder what went on between MM and Dita von Teese.

by Anonymousreply 18September 12, 2020 7:52 PM

Didn't Dita leave their house in terror in the middle of the night, never to return?

by Anonymousreply 19September 12, 2020 9:37 PM

The woman who played Ros the whore on Game of Thrones was another one of is victims. She also doesn't mention a name but her descriptions of the abuse are eerily similar.

Eighteen may mean you're an adult, but you can still be impressionable, especially when being heavily focused on by a man in his late 30's who IS considered worldly and exciting.

by Anonymousreply 20September 12, 2020 9:38 PM

Make Dita talk. What hypocrisy on her part, she brands herself as. liberated, sensual, free-thinking woman, but clearly she’s just another hs cheerleader who likes to get punched. It’s just surprising — though I will say the older I get, the more I see areas where I have not lived to my own values, I’ve been a hypocrite in certain areas too.

But I get irritated when it’s a public figure or entertainer, they owe it to their fans to. cereal IMHO,

by Anonymousreply 21September 12, 2020 9:44 PM

R18 Some fucked up shit.

by Anonymousreply 22September 13, 2020 6:49 AM

18 is still very innocent

by Anonymousreply 23September 13, 2020 7:08 AM

R22, I expect that is true since Dita is allegedly a professional Dominatrix as well as a Burlesque performer. I wonder is the Dom met her match.

by Anonymousreply 24September 13, 2020 10:03 AM

Brian Warner is also responsible for badly ripping off Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails and Powerman 5000. And for a terrible film adaptation of JT Leroy’s story wherein he played a child molestor.

by Anonymousreply 25September 13, 2020 10:03 AM

exactly, r14

by Anonymousreply 26September 13, 2020 10:07 AM

r26. Kids are being groomed to become adults who can be easily manipulated by (sexual) predators. You could say that an adult's manipulation is an extension of the grooming process he or she received as a kid.

"Normal" adults don't fall for creeps like Marylin Manson.

by Anonymousreply 27September 13, 2020 10:17 AM

God. He's so chinless and aggressively ugly. In all ways. He's just a dorky band geek from Ohio and I have no idea how he got famous. I guess starting out in Florida helped. His peak musically was a miserable time. Basically he's just a cover band douche.

by Anonymousreply 28September 13, 2020 10:29 AM

[quote] Grooming is a buzzword that conjures up thoughts of child molestation and pedophelia.. I hate when that word is used to refer to an adult getting involved with another adult

You're just uninformed. At 18 your brain isn't even completely formed, as per science, so being 18 and groomed up to the age of 24 is not only possible but also biologically expected. That said, grooming also relates to power.

She gave her testimony under oath and claims to have video proof of all that and even that she took it to the police, so I'm pretty sure now this is starting to trend (the video posted on Twitter is now going viral again) we'll have receipts. She's on twitter but won't allow new friends. I sent her a friend request before the pandemic and we have friends in common, she never accepted me.

by Anonymousreply 29September 13, 2020 10:30 AM

I understand what you're all saying but you're watering down a word that is used to describe really young ones, usually girls, getting physically preyed upon, like an early teen, if you extend that to everyone in their early twenties the word becomes completely meaningless, so well done you hysterical morons.

by Anonymousreply 30September 13, 2020 10:34 AM

^ well, that could've been typed better, but you get my point.

by Anonymousreply 31September 13, 2020 10:36 AM

Actually it points out the premise that adults are deliberately kept in a child-like state for (further) grooming purposes. Isn't that just as scary and devious?

by Anonymousreply 32September 13, 2020 10:37 AM

I have no idea what to think of any of this, including the little I've heard of this woman's testimony. Nothing is as devious as a grown ass man going after a tween girl in a physically aggressive way, so we'll have to agree to differ. All these 'important' words have been watered down, I've accepted that.

by Anonymousreply 33September 13, 2020 10:49 AM

*or not just in 'a physically aggressive way', that's the whole point of grooming, I'm getting too worked up - I shouldn't have posted here, I never talk about this sort of thing usually, I'll leave you all to get to the bottom of this case, ciao

by Anonymousreply 34September 13, 2020 10:55 AM

It's not a matter of leaving, he threatened her life, her family, threatened to use revenge porn, beat her. He should be in jail.

by Anonymousreply 35September 13, 2020 10:56 AM

Hung out with some stoner guys who went to high school with Brian Warner back in Canton, Ohio. He was teased constantly because he was extremely poor and smelled BAD.

by Anonymousreply 36September 13, 2020 10:56 AM

[quote] They cut off the part where she talks about how he shocked her genitals and then raped her for hours.

What kind of "shock?" Sounds like some sort of sex toy.

by Anonymousreply 37September 13, 2020 10:57 AM

[quote] I understand what you're all saying but you're watering down a word that is used to describe really young ones

That's the key, it isn't. Grooming is part of psychology and is not related just to children, it has to do with power structures and it's a huge part o Stockholm Syndrome process for instance.

Some are alleging she was in a S&M relationship but I doubt it. Someone posted the GOT whore's actress testimony on twitter too and it's eerily similar.

by Anonymousreply 38September 13, 2020 11:01 AM

[quote] They cut off the part where she talks about how he shocked her genitals and then raped her for hours.

They didn't. The video continues within the thread. Twitter won't allow videos longer than 2 minutes so it's split.

My first reaction was, as mentioned, well, what was she expecting, you only had to look at him. But she is very clear thst he was charming and totally different at the beginning of their relationship.

by Anonymousreply 40September 13, 2020 11:05 AM

Comment from the Youtube testimonial video, I had to cut the links to sources because this stupid forum won't allow links within posts (why?).

SidV101 6 months ago (edited) Her abuser is almost certainly Marilyn Manson, here's the evidence: Evan's testimony at 2:43: "I mustered the courage to leave several times but he would call my house incessantly and threaten to kill himself."

Here's an interview with Manson where he says that 1) he called Evan 158 times after their breakup and cut himself once for every call, 2) he wrote the song “I Want to Kill You Like They Do in The Movies” about her, and 3) he fantasized every day about "smashing her skull in with a sledgehammer". They had not yet broken up for the last time as of that interview; they got engaged 6 months later.

Evan's testimony at 0:58: her relationship with her abuser began when she was 18. Her relationship with Manson became public when she was 19.

More details that line up between Manson and what Evan said here: she looked up to her abuser when she met him, she knew him for a while before they dated, and he had a terrible drug and alcohol problem.

Lastly, she has an active twitter account. She is probably aware of the online speculation that her abuser is Manson. If the speculation was wrong, she would probably be inclined to clear his name and say that it wasn't him. Her silence is deafening.

Footnote: she wants to name her abuser but can't - likely because of a non-disclosure agreement - so I don't think she would have a problem with me trying to out him.

by Anonymousreply 41September 13, 2020 11:08 AM

Well I am in England, and the first time the word "grooming" entered the public consciousness was with the Rotherham grooming scandal, which involved the mass prostitution of young 'working class' girls - leaving this all to you now, goodbye once again.

by Anonymousreply 42September 13, 2020 11:09 AM

I've always liked her acting — ever since Thirteen. BUT... I wish the #MeToo movement also reported these criminal assault incidents TO THE POLICE — inside the correct jurisdiction and following through with a written report while pursuing family violence programs.

I lost respect for her. I loathe weak people. I'd be in jail for having bludgeoned him to a pulp with a lamp.

by Anonymousreply 44September 13, 2020 11:14 AM

^Nope, you wouldn't have the chance....because he never would have chosen you. Psychopaths do not target strong people to be their victims.

by Anonymousreply 45September 13, 2020 11:20 AM

[quote] I lost respect for her. I loathe weak people. I'd be in jail for having bludgeoned him to a pulp with a lamp.

Cool, so you're a sociopath just like Manson, so nice you two have that in common.

[quote] I wish the #MeToo movement also reported these criminal assault incidents TO THE POLICE

Did you even watch the video? The whole reason she's testifying for the Phoenix Act is because she went to the police with videos and proof and there was nothing they could do because of the statute of limitations. The whole point of her being there was to address this issue.

by Anonymousreply 46September 13, 2020 11:22 AM

There is nothing more vulnerable to manipulative, creepy men than impressionable young women up until the age of about 22 or so.

by Anonymousreply 47September 13, 2020 11:22 AM

She knew who he was before they got together, but she chose to do it anyway. I'm not saying anyone deserves abuse, and maybe she chose to overlook it in the beginning, or thought she could change him.

That being said...

by Anonymousreply 48September 13, 2020 11:22 AM

Did you not watch her testimony? He presented himself different. Unless you're a teenage mini frau, you should know artists have a persona that is usually very different than their real selves. That's what we have here. A charming charismatic guy who puts on a front and in classic grooming fashion, pretends to be nice till he isn't.

His behavior during and after the break up shows clear signs of psychopathy and I know DL uses this very loosely but here this is actually true.

by Anonymousreply 49September 13, 2020 12:01 PM

[quote]they think they’re the exception

[quote]thought she could change him

Certain types of women relish the thought that only THEY can tame the beast. They have some fantasy that they possess some specialness that sets them apart-- that they are somehow superior to other, more ordinary women. They win.

Then reality hits and they find out they are just one of many regular gals who have been used and abused by these creeps.

By the way--the idea that a particular woman (heroine) is so special, unique, pure and perfect that only 'she' can turn a bad mind good is quite prevalent in fairy tales (Beauty and the Beast, Twilight, etc.).

by Anonymousreply 50September 13, 2020 12:10 PM

^turn a bad MAN good

by Anonymousreply 51September 13, 2020 12:10 PM

Some people fall for the dark and broody rock star. And what kind of women do you think girls grow up after devouring the Twilight books and movies about a girl falling for a broody, but sparkly, vampire? What kind of women are the ones devouring the 50 Shades of Grey books?

As mentioned before kids are being groomed to be easy prey for predators in their adult years as much as they are being groomed to be easy prey for predators when they are still kids.

by Anonymousreply 52September 13, 2020 12:12 PM

I'm shocked that a creepy scummy rock star turned out to be creepy and scummy.

However, she got together with him when she was very young and couldn't know any better, and predators always ALWAYS date either much younger, stupider or less financially secure people. Sane people see right through them.

Fuck him and fuck Johnny Depp.
