The guy is suing for $10 million. Claims the Judge forced him to give him a slob job for better treatment in an arson trial.

Tucker, show me on the doll where Judge Napolitano touched you.

The probabilities of proving a sexual assault are not high if you sue the moment in happens, after 30 years the probabilities are almost zero

R4 - In civil court, you don't have to prove an allegation happened. All you have to prove is the likelihood that it happened.

You know this isn’t the only time this happened.

I was the victim of sexual abuse in the 1980s as a child. It happened, it wasn't my choice, I got through it and I moved on.
Sorry, I have no sympathy for people who wait 30, 40, 50 years to bring it up and then try to get ju$tice or revenge.

While I’m in no way siding with this “victim” right now, I can say that you’d probably have a more difficult time moving on R7 if your predator was a nationally famous television personality who frequently came into your field of vision no matter how much you tried to avoid them.

R5 That is incredibly absurd but at least explains why americans sue everybody constantly

Not quite, r8. It was my uncle, who lives three houses away from my parents and I have to see in person at every holiday and family event.

R9: No it's not, its common law. Any former British imperial jurisdiction has it. The burden of proof is lower as you just have to be found to be the cause of the distress alleged. If you are the cause of the distress, then a monetary judgement will be awarded to the plaintiff.

You mean standard of proof.

Yes R14

According to Wikipedia, he identifies as a "Traditionalist Catholic", so of course he isn't out as gay or anything. But as far as I can see, he's never been married or linked to any woman romantically. So...

Back in 2016 Wikipedia used to list him in LGBT categories. They were removed from his entry due to lack of sourcing, though.

R14, Don't know if he's out out but it's pretty obvious. "In the Acknowledgements section of his book Suicide Pact: The Radical Expansion of Presidential Powers and the Lethal Threat to American Liberty, Napolitano states: "... my happy dreams turned dark last year when Jim Sheil, my alter ego to whose memory this book is dedicated, died suddenly on March 19th 2013, as we were working on this book. Jim and I shared much of our lives with each other. Among that which we shared was a love of the printed word. Yet our philosophies and politics were like oil and water."
From the obituary: Jim is survived by his longtime friend, Andrew Napolitano; his parents, Betsy and Harry Sheil; ...

Don't care - if you're out there promoting conspiracy theories and working for Fox News, then I don't wish any good fortune to happen to you.
Let them push him out of the closet and see how welcomed he'll be by his Republican 'colleagues'.
