Blood in the toilet

Lately there's been bright red blood in the toilet and on the paper when I wipe. Should I be concerned?

by Anonymousreply 39September 23, 2020 11:33 PM

I 've had this happen; hemmoroids most likely; try a more fiber-intense diet; soak in a warm tub.

and see a doctor just to be safe.

by Anonymousreply 1September 11, 2020 5:11 AM

Probably just hemorrhoids or an anal fissure, but get it checked out just in case. Are you experiencing any pain?

by Anonymousreply 2September 11, 2020 5:12 AM

quit the fisting

by Anonymousreply 3September 11, 2020 5:13 AM

Ah, yeah

by Anonymousreply 4September 11, 2020 5:15 AM

What R1 and R2 said.

by Anonymousreply 5September 11, 2020 5:23 AM

Get thine ass checked for HPV, OP!

by Anonymousreply 6September 11, 2020 5:23 AM

I don't feel any pain.

by Anonymousreply 7September 11, 2020 5:24 AM

Have you been probed?

by Anonymousreply 8September 11, 2020 5:24 AM

Well, probably not a fissure then, OP/r7, because you'd def feel something, but hemorrhoids can be painless. Whatever the case, do go to the doctor and get it checked out, just to be certain it's not anything serious. For some patients, blood in the stool is their only symptom of colon cancer. Unlikely that that's what going on with you, but just in case it is, you want to find out ASAP.

by Anonymousreply 9September 11, 2020 5:34 AM

Colonoscopy time. My friend had blood and it was colon cancer. Luckily they caught it early and got it all out. No chemo.

by Anonymousreply 10September 11, 2020 5:37 AM

Were you surprised with an anal of late?

by Anonymousreply 11September 11, 2020 6:02 AM

Rose, you're finally becoming a woman!

by Anonymousreply 12September 11, 2020 6:04 AM

Amateurs!

by Anonymousreply 13September 11, 2020 6:07 AM

OP, all women have periods; about every four weeks, for three or four days. Blood from inside a woman's body comes outside from an opening between her legs.

by Anonymousreply 14September 11, 2020 6:14 AM

This is turning into a trans thread soon, is it not?

by Anonymousreply 15September 11, 2020 6:19 AM

R10 how do you know it’s colon cancer versus a hemorrhoid?

by Anonymousreply 16September 11, 2020 6:30 AM

R10 Only a doctor can tell you that. My friend had surgery in June. Four hour operation. Cut from stem to stern. Very lucky. Stage 1.

by Anonymousreply 17September 11, 2020 6:33 AM

Def get to a Dr. Internal hemorroids can cause bleeding and are benign, but do get checked. Also adjust your diet so you are not straining when having a BM.

by Anonymousreply 18September 11, 2020 11:37 AM

R16 from the smell of it

by Anonymousreply 19September 11, 2020 11:48 AM

OP It's probably from all that weird stuff your dad ate in the depression.

R16 that might be your stupidest comment yet. You're asking a message board how to tell between cancer and something else. Can they examine you? Test your blood? Grow up, dumbass.

by Anonymousreply 20September 11, 2020 11:50 AM

Yes, you should be concerned. See a doctor, treat the area gently, eat lightly till you see your doctor but include fibrous foods like oatmeal, oranges, raspberries, and potatoes. Dark green vegetables might be difficult right now, but suspend thinking about it until you've seen your doctor.

by Anonymousreply 21September 11, 2020 12:11 PM

Rectal gonorrhea, whore.

by Anonymousreply 22September 11, 2020 12:15 PM

🤓 No, not at all.

by Anonymousreply 23September 11, 2020 12:22 PM

R10 How old was your friend at diagnosis?

by Anonymousreply 24September 11, 2020 1:59 PM

I'm pretty sure an anal fissure is a big whoop.

by Anonymousreply 25September 11, 2020 6:05 PM

That was my only symptom before being diagnosed with anal/rectal cancer (which is different than colon cancer).

by Anonymousreply 26September 11, 2020 6:12 PM

All gay men should be cocked for HPV every year. Bleeding is a symptom of HPV-related cancers.

by Anonymousreply 27September 11, 2020 6:17 PM

You're sure it's your blood?

by Anonymousreply 28September 11, 2020 6:19 PM

Don't go to a doctor! Getting opinions from strangers on Datalounge is sufficient!

by Anonymousreply 29September 11, 2020 6:20 PM

Rule out if you've been eating beets lately

by Anonymousreply 30September 11, 2020 6:23 PM

Congratulations - your Mussy has finally transitioned! Congrats on getting your Aunt Flo!

by Anonymousreply 31September 11, 2020 7:53 PM

Next time you to go the truck stop, use lube.

by Anonymousreply 32September 11, 2020 7:55 PM

Don't ignore rectal cancer.

My butt was completely eaten away by it. Thank God Ryan O'Neal was there for me at the time. He was a big enough asshole for both of us.

Until I died.

Good luck, OP. See you soon.

by Anonymousreply 33September 11, 2020 7:57 PM

Most of the time bloody stool comes from cancer.

by Anonymousreply 34September 11, 2020 8:07 PM

Probably just Stage 4 colon cancer, OP. Nothing to worry about, at this point.

by Anonymousreply 35September 11, 2020 8:37 PM

[quote]All gay men should be cocked for HPV every year.

Oooooooo-kay.

by Anonymousreply 36September 23, 2020 9:44 PM

These types of threads requesting medical advice from Dataloungers come up pretty regularly.

I was just in the middle of a snarky response when it dawned on me (I’m not American) that the poster might be asking here because S/he doesn’t have health insurance / the lack of universal health care in the USA.

Am I overanalysing or should OP just consult a professional rather than all of us?

Serious question for once - we have universal healthcare so it’s easy to get out of touch with this aspect of life in USA.

by Anonymousreply 37September 23, 2020 11:13 PM

[quote]R8 Have you been probed?

[italic]Aliens, while he slept?!

by Anonymousreply 38September 23, 2020 11:17 PM

[quote]OP, all women have periods; about every four weeks, for three or four days. Blood from inside a woman's body comes outside from an opening between her legs.

Not all women have a vagina.
