I’ve had to use google to search old threads for the past few months now. The search function has been misbehaving.

Muriel, YouTube links are just showing as blanks, as in the gray box - but not always, but most of them.

As a former DL subscriber, I concluded that I was only rewarding bad behavior by paying a (teeny) monthly fee to DL. So I stopped.

The functionality of this site gets worse and worse over time.

There is nothing but politics in like the first 50 threads. Some politics would be fine by me, but it's literally every single thread right now. And I can't use the search to find other active threads that might be more interesting.

The grey boxes really kill the visual experiences. If I can't see a preview, I'm not clicking. It also brightens up the joint a little. As another poster noted, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Why is that?

The ignore thread only works until you refresh the page, and then they are all back. Frustrating.

Once you have put in the word or phrase you want to search, go down to narrow results by, and you will see third down last update, it defaults to anytime, you can change this to anything from the last year to last 24 hours

No guarantee of results but its better than here
