When Rachel was outed and discussed I saw plenty of white people going, "But she doesn't look black!" and of course the black people reminded them, "Well, we can look like anything! She fooled everyone in the NAACP so maybe you don't know as much as you think you do?"

If EVERYONE knows a person is trans, they can make up their own mind what they think about it. So it's not the same thing.
