The opening credits for "Succession"
Everyone talks about how great the theme song is, and I entirely agree.
But the images are confusing to me. It seems to be home movies of the Roys in earlier years, interspersed with images of New York City and their current media empire. Sarah Snook, as Siobhan, is clearly in here styled to look younger at :41 , and there's a red-headed girl who looks just like her but much younger who is clearly meant to be a young Siobhan at :17. But who is the black haired girl in the opening three seconds supposed to be? Later she's leading a pony around an estate, but she looks nothing like Shiv--her hair is black and her features are much heavier (she looks Mediterranean). And the three boys surrounding here in the opening seconds (as pictured below) could not possibly be the Roy brothers, since the age range of the boys (who also look Mediterranean in background) seems close, while in reality Roman is nearly 20 years younger than Connor. What's going on?

There's a great parody of the "Succession" credits using the British royal family on Instagram. It's incredibly well done.

Agree - love the opening credits. Took a while for the show to grow on me - but after 2-3 shows, I was hooked. They get the details of the 1% life perfectly. It’s not a happy life.

I love that one of the images on the BRF version of the Succession opening is Meghan joyously opening a suitcase on "Deal or No Deal." She will never live that down.
The image of William and Harry waiting to get their photo taken with their father in front of one of their father's houses (Highgrove?) is also perfect, and just like the montage of the TV show.

I also like this show. But once you hear Shiv's Australian accent, you cannot un-hear it.

She's pretty good at using an American accent on the show, though.
She does have the most interesting body shape I've seen on a pretty white woman on TV in a long time. She has such a big ass.

OP: it’s not them. Credit sequences like this are not literal. That’s not Shiv in the video etc etc. It’s merely implying an atmosphere around this story.

I noticed all that, too, OP.
The season two intro added more home movie footage of what could be the kids in the early 90s?
It makes a bit more sense timeline wise, though the Roman stand in again seems too close in age to his older brothers.
