I bounced back and forth the idea of moving home many times over the last 15 years; my Mom was always 'no, I know times are tough, but hang in there; your life is in LA now.'
I think had I moved home she might still be alive now; she caught COVID-19 living in an assisted living facility.
But it probably wasn't going to be the best thing for either of us.
