All three men shot in Kenosha have been officially identified. To prove that they were rioters, not protestors, they all have prior records of arrests for violent offenses.

Rosenbaum, the first person shot, was filmed charging Rittenhouse at the car dealership before being hit in the head. The other men gave chase after the shooter ran from the scene, Huber swiping at him with a skateboard after he had tripped and fallen. He shot Huber in the stomach. Grosskreutz was carrying a handgun which he had drawn (legally this is considered brandishing in most states, important detail) and Rittenhouse shot him in the arm before running away again.

The question of whether the shooter was engaging in legal open carry has also not been cleared up. 15-17 year olds are allowed exceptions to Wisconsin's open carry laws with rifles and shotguns (because of hunting.)

However, whether Rittenhouse was legally carrying the rifle he had that night would depend on who the legal owner of the rifle was- unestablished so far. You have to be 18 in the U.S. to legally purchase a firearm.

Not related to the shootings, but there's video of other Kenoshans guarding stores armed to the teeth and facing off against rioters. The situation that night was volatile. Even with dozens of people patrolling with rifles to prevent damage, the rioters were hellbent on setting fires.

It's an arbitrary practice that varies from institution to institution. Part of the issue is that the race the government actually wants to track are mestizos, "la raza," which under the one drop rule would be considered "Native American/Amerindian."

If you know how hispanics feel about indians, you know why they had to make a separate race/ethnicity category up. So people whose ancestors immigrated from countries colonized by Spain, who are exclusively of European extraction, are considered a separate type of white by U.S. institututions. Rittenhouse's Illinois charges have been dropped. He still has not been extradited to Wisconsin (and likely won't be.) Extradition between states is usually a formality and taken care of immediately.

Fugitives have the right to challenge fugitive warrants. If they don't waive their right to a hearing to challenge the warrant then it's usually held within 30 days - in Kenosha Kyle's case they set it for October 30 which is more than 2 months after his arrest in Illinois on the fugitive warrant - maybe cause of Covid.

The Interstate Agreement on Detainers handles fugitives and all states except maybe 2 are signatories.
