Carol Burnett Suing For Custody Of Her Grandson!

She is taking her daughter to court, suing for custody of her 13 year old grandson!

by Anonymousreply 69September 3, 2020 3:55 PM

Worthless with no link, you lazy whore OP.

by Anonymousreply 1August 20, 2020 2:12 PM

Give a link next time, spazzy OP.

by Anonymousreply 2August 20, 2020 2:14 PM

Oh, wow. That's really sad.

by Anonymousreply 3August 20, 2020 2:16 PM

Carol is 87 so I was a little shocked to hear the grandkid was only 13. Born in September 2006, apparently, when Erin was 38.

by Anonymousreply 4August 20, 2020 2:17 PM

Jesus Christ. A second drug addicted daughter?

Ya gotta wonder what it was like growing up in the Burnett household.

by Anonymousreply 5August 20, 2020 2:18 PM

[quote] Ya gotta wonder what it was like growing up in the Burnett household.

Burnett mother and father were both alcoholics

by Anonymousreply 6August 20, 2020 2:20 PM

Carol is ELEVENTY years old! Damn

by Anonymousreply 7August 20, 2020 2:20 PM

I don't usually pay much attention to celebrity deaths, but when Carol Burnett dies I am going to be very sad. She was an important part of my childhood and I still watch her in reruns to this day. She brought a lot of people joy and laughter. I'm glad she is still around!

by Anonymousreply 8August 20, 2020 2:23 PM

Very sad to hear.

by Anonymousreply 9August 20, 2020 3:18 PM

Carrie had that spark Carol has. I was genuinely sad when she died.

by Anonymousreply 10August 20, 2020 3:26 PM

Each night before Dylan goes to bed, I hope she sings to him, 'I'm so glad we had this time together. Just to have a laugh or sing a song..."

by Anonymousreply 11August 20, 2020 3:55 PM

R11 , DIE IN A GREASE FIRE .

by Anonymousreply 12August 20, 2020 4:12 PM

I feel bad for Carol. She's been surrounded by addicts her whole life: first her parents, then her kids.

by Anonymousreply 13August 20, 2020 4:29 PM

I remember reading an article which exposed celebrities as bad parents. One of the celebs named was Carol Burnett whose parenting style was described as non-existent because she left that to a team of nannies. The kids would run wild and had no rules.

by Anonymousreply 14August 20, 2020 4:29 PM

At least two out of three kids grow up to be addicts.

Carol is not exactly Mother of the Year.

by Anonymousreply 15August 20, 2020 4:39 PM

Erin has had problems for years. At one point, she was even living out in the streets. Carol "tough loved" her from the start, which she didn't do with Carrie. But Carrie got sober after Carol finally had enough and washed her hands. So I guess she figures that's the only way Erin's going to learn as well.

R14 Not true. Everyone who worked on the Burnett show knew that Carol had to be out by late afternoon, so she could go home and eat with her kids. Except on taping days of course. But she was not a negligent parent by any means. She moved everyone to Hawaii in the early 80's so the kids could have a normal life and be far away from the Hollywood party scene. Shame it didn't work. The other daughter is doing well, though, and is very close to Carol.

by Anonymousreply 16August 20, 2020 4:48 PM

Just sad all around

by Anonymousreply 17August 20, 2020 4:51 PM

Wow. The last I remember of Erin she was doing dance music.

Life never gets easier. My mother is 83 and I still cause her grief. She still withholds affection from us too. But it's very sad that Carol Burnett has to go through this at 87. I sense she's a decent person. A good woman. Her first book is one of the most moving and honest celebrity autobiographies I've ever read.

by Anonymousreply 19August 20, 2020 4:54 PM

[R1] Girl, you're just as lazy if you couldn't post the damn story.

Karma for being a homewrecker?

by Anonymousreply 21August 20, 2020 5:10 PM

R16 Getting home to eat with the kids is very different from being hands on as parent and mot leaving bulk of the work to nannies.

by Anonymousreply 22August 20, 2020 5:18 PM

I wish I can dig up that article but I don’t even remember what print magazine it was from. But it mentioned some pretty egregious examples of bad celebrity parenting. I remember CB being mentioned also specifically an example of her gathering her kids for photo shoot at home and as soon as the crew was gone her demeanor changed and she was back to being unresponsive to her young kids and handing them to nannies.

by Anonymousreply 23August 20, 2020 5:24 PM

She’s Eunice’s kid what did expect?

by Anonymousreply 24August 20, 2020 5:35 PM

The grandson will be glad they have this time together.

by Anonymousreply 25August 20, 2020 5:55 PM

Not my thread, R20, bitch.

by Anonymousreply 26August 20, 2020 8:47 PM

The suggestion that her allegedly being a bad parent makes this all her fault is pretty lame. The daughter is completely old enough now to get herself together, especially where her own kid is involved. Don't give me this "it's the mother's fault" bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 27August 20, 2020 8:49 PM

R27 But when two kids are drug addicts, you have to ask what contributed to it, right? It's not just growing up in "Hollywood."

by Anonymousreply 28August 21, 2020 12:57 AM

Isn't she a little old to get custody of a 13-year-old?

by Anonymousreply 29August 21, 2020 1:04 AM

She's too old to be the grandmother of a 13 year old.

by Anonymousreply 30August 21, 2020 1:07 AM

Didn't Michael Jackson's mother get custody of his kids when she was well into her 80s?

by Anonymousreply 31August 21, 2020 1:07 AM

R30 Her daughter was almost 50 when she had her child.

by Anonymousreply 32August 21, 2020 1:42 AM

[quote] But when two kids are drug addicts, you have to ask what contributed to it, right?

It is called genetics

by Anonymousreply 33August 21, 2020 1:43 AM

Guess she’ll need some more nannies.

Is Dick van Dyke available?

by Anonymousreply 34August 21, 2020 1:49 AM

I thought Erin was a big ol' dyke.

by Anonymousreply 35August 21, 2020 1:54 AM

No, R28, I don't.

by Anonymousreply 36August 21, 2020 1:55 AM

She’s too old to be watching over a 13 year old.

by Anonymousreply 37August 21, 2020 2:01 AM

Carol has a younger gay husband. And a very nice life. She isn't asking to watch over the boy. Only the rights to do so, if necessary.

by Anonymousreply 38August 21, 2020 2:09 AM

[quote] Carol has a younger gay husband.

Mark Harris?

by Anonymousreply 39August 21, 2020 2:17 AM

Carol Burnette today at 87. She has aged well but at that golden age you really don't want to take responsibility for your grandchild. She should enjoy her retirement years doing exactly what she wants to do. Too bad that she's had so much bad luck with her kids.

by Anonymousreply 40August 21, 2020 2:22 AM

Retirement years? 87 is borrowed time. But long may she run.

by Anonymousreply 41August 21, 2020 2:23 AM

2 of her 3 daughters had drug problems. Poor Carol.

by Anonymousreply 42August 21, 2020 2:26 AM

I thought the drugged up daughter died?

by Anonymousreply 43August 21, 2020 2:29 AM

Carol Burnett and her third husband Brian Miller. He is 23 years younger than her.

by Anonymousreply 46August 21, 2020 2:36 AM

No she wasn’t r32 she was 38. Carol had Erin at 35. Erin has another son who is in his early 20s.

Stuart Damon and his wife adopted their own grandchild for similar reasons.

[quote] Stuart Damon and his wife adopted their own grandchild for similar reasons

I thought it was because it was secretly Rick and Monica's love child.

by Anonymousreply 50August 21, 2020 4:37 PM

[quote]Ya gotta wonder what it was like growing up in the Burnett household.

Carol stole Joe Hamilton away from another family. She's just getting her comeuppance.

And I don't understand that. Joe wasn't a bad looking guy. Why goofy Carol?

Why don't you go fuck yourself, R51? She didn't do anything to her future husband that he didn't want to do, you stupid cunt.

What in the world is going on in that family to turn out not one but two daughters hopped up on the dope.

[R54] Are you 10-years old? You sound nasty - grow up.

by Anonymousreply 57September 3, 2020 10:20 AM

Carol won and gets custody until January.

by Anonymousreply 58September 3, 2020 10:25 AM

R57, nothing you said in your previous post shows you're anything but a judgmental cunt of somene you don't know. I repeat: go fuck yourself.

by Anonymousreply 59September 3, 2020 11:58 AM

Maybe she should try to get custody of Barron. His parents have the same problems as her daughter.

by Anonymousreply 60September 3, 2020 12:17 PM

[R59] It must be hard to be single, but maybe with an attitude change and fewer daily martinis, you'll have better luck? Just a thought, honey.

by Anonymousreply 61September 3, 2020 1:31 PM

R61, thanks for your concern, but I'm not single, and you're a still vicious, gossipy, cunty Gladys Kravitz.

R63, it is when you're R61 and acting like you know about the workings of a celebrity marriage from over 50 years ago.

by Anonymousreply 64September 3, 2020 1:53 PM

[quote] I remember reading an article which exposed celebrities as bad parents. One of the celebs named was Carol Burnett whose parenting style was described as non-existent because she left that to a team of nannies.

What is everybody looking at me for?

by Anonymousreply 65September 3, 2020 2:17 PM

[quote] What in the world is going on in that family to turn out not one but two daughters hopped up on the dope.

The other drug-addicted daughter got sober by about age 18 and enjoyed 20+ years of sobriety and a normal life before dying of cancer.

by Anonymousreply 66September 3, 2020 2:28 PM

Lung Cancer she got from smoking cigarettes. They gave them to her in rehab in Texas. Carol wrote about this in one of her books.

by Anonymousreply 67September 3, 2020 3:18 PM

Fun fact - Carol's sister-in-law, Kip Hamilton, sang the notoriously, hilariously awful "The Words Get Stuck in My Throat" song from WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS (1966).

Hamilton LEFT his wife. After fucking her a gazillion times clearly with birth control. He must have been exhausting. You don't steal a person unless you kidnap them. He was a very ambitious producer and saw in Carol a goldmine over which he wanted to have control. She performed, he took over running the empire. I loved her show when young. Now I find it forced, unfunny and when they take every opportunity to find themselves hilarious intolerable.
