You did get me at picture 30 OP. I am titillated.
And a little giddy.

It's like a magic portal to another land in that kitchen. But that other land it's exactly Narnia.
I guess you could call it the Wind, the Witch and the Pantry.

Oh my god - why there is there a fully secured prison underneath that house? Why?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 16, 2020 10:33 PM |
Wtf? Please explain the underground jail OP?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 16, 2020 10:35 PM |
r4: It was Howard County Sheriff's House and Jail.
Talk about double-duty...
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 16, 2020 10:38 PM |
You could air b n b that to some very special clients!

That's an odd one, perfect, I suppose, for the he likes Eastlake furniture, William Morris wallpaper, transferware china, and restioring 1880s gas light fixtures; I like industrial hard surfaces, steel, lots of steel, a Pittsburgh potty in every room, heavy-duty security and soundproofing, and surfaces that can can be disinfected top to bottom with a spray hit steam pressure hose and floor drains.
The front portion of the house was not very well "restored," just renovated using standard off the shelf materials; still it's mostly a pleasant house despite the underwhelming renovation.
The rear wing would be a good sculpture or pottery studio or a very noisy, echo-prone office.

I'm sure you could rent out that prison set up to some gay porn producers.
I noticed that "Central Methodist University" (whatever that is) is right down the street ... maybe some horny young athletes could be enticed to do some roleplay activity down there.

Oh it’s so frightening! 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Just don't go digging up the backyard.

$1.5 MM in renovations, selling for $350 k - that was money well spent.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 17, 2020 12:21 AM |
Wait, that house is only $350,000? Is that considered expensive in USA?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 17, 2020 12:25 AM |
What the HELL?
There's a pair of photos that made my stomach drop from one to the next. I had to click back and forth to make sure what I'd seen was real. Surely that was done deliberately.
From there on, the rest of the photos make me shudder. I get a horrible feeling from that. I imagine, though, that the story is very prosaic--e.g., that a previous house owner was the sheriff.

r12 no, it is considered a giveaway
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 17, 2020 12:31 AM |
Oh, I was R13. I just scrolled up and saw that the jail had already been explained, and I guessed right.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 17, 2020 12:34 AM |
I got the impression that the jail portion adjoins the house portion, not that it is in the basement.

My representatives will be in touch.

R6 is correct. The two-story jail wing is at the rear, opening off the kitchen at the same level (see Photo #30), and in the exterior photos it's the oddly heavy looking wing with a brick cornice with heavy corbeling recalling crenellations, see Photo #67 and adjacent photos where there are heavy metai bars on the windows on the jail wing.)
Because of the size of the jail wing, It's an odd house with just 2400 square feet of house and two bedrooms and two bathrooms, smaller than what the exterior may suggest.

Would it work as a dungeon?

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
