R21 It’s a very depressing movie but it’s a good one. One of my favorite at that time. I can’t bear to watch it again though.

It won’t win points for blatant sexiness, but the scene in “Holding the Man” when Tim brings a dying John home from the hospital and they have sex for one last time. It made me cry because it’s obvious that John is dying and covered with Kaposi’s sarcoma and he has tubes running up his nose but Tim doesn’t care. It’s one of the most beautiful love scenes I’ve ever seen. And that Rufus Wainright song is playing, “Forever and A Year”.
