Which actors and actresses do we think get hard, erect and sexually excited for real when filming sex scenes?

And do you have any particular films or shows in mind were you sensed one or both of the actors were getting sexually aroused for real and really enjoying their job?!๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ”ฅ

Acting is all about pretending.

It's all fake.
[bold]Which[/bold] actors and [bold]actresses do we think get hard, erect[/bold] and sexually excited for real when filming sex scenes?

I am sure Sarah Jessica Parker always gets hard and erect for all her sex scenes, intimidating her partners with her proud, throbbing, and engorged tower of manhood.

by Anonymousreply 2August 15, 2020 10:33 PM

OP linked to an article where everyone said it was weird, awkward or funny except for Hue Grant who is a bit of a perv.

These days it's all fake and on the rare occasion someone pops a boner the person themselves (if they're professional) is usually annoyed by it.

No one wants to make someone else feel uncomfortable (especially during the age of me too) or show their throbbing, sock covered, erection to a group of strangers.

Well Mark Rylance sure as hell did. As did that homophobic guy in Nine Songs.
Well Mark Rylance sure as hell did. As did that homophobic guy in Nine Songs.

9 Songs was basically a concert movie with porn. That guy was Kieran O'Brien.

Intimacy with Mark Rylance was a movie about ... sex. Again, mostly porn with a plot.

They're also about 16 and 19 years old respectively.

And as Mark Rylance said, he regrets ever making it.
And as Mark Rylance said, he regrets ever making it.

I understand. He seems to still believe in what the film was going for, but it's the criticism and scrutiny that didn't make it worthwhile for him. Journalists are very juvenile when it comes to sex scenes. All the time asking the actors "what is it like to kiss so-and-so or do a love scene with them. They take one or two scenes to focus on other than the overall film.

That said, here's the sex scene from Intimacy.

R10 well, acting is pretending. Why should sex in a movie be real if murder never is? If youโ€˜re willing to have real sex on film, you ARE a porn star.

by Anonymousreply 11August 15, 2020 11:39 PM
well, acting is pretending. Why should sex in a movie be real if murder never is?

Why do some actors gain weight for a role instead of wearing padding and prosthetics? It's a way to get into the mindset and lives of the characters and adds a greater depth to how the audience takes in the characters' relationship. I don't class "Intimacy", or John Cameron Mitchell's "Shortbus" (which also had un-simulated sex) as being equal to porn because I don't think the scenes were done for titillation.

by Anonymousreply 12August 15, 2020 11:55 PM

R12 Maybe itโ€™s not porn for the creators and a niche audience. But most people are only interested in the consumption of these scenes as porn for titillation. Thus they end up as wank material on platforms like xvideos with 11.5 million views, see R10. And thus โ€œJournalists are very juvenile when it comes to sex scenes. All the time asking the actors "what is it like to kiss so-and-so or do a love scene with them.โ€

by Anonymousreply 13August 16, 2020 12:20 AM

The thing is the sex in those two movies is real. Nobody was pretending anything. Kieren was pissed gay guys got off on it. Like duh.

by Anonymousreply 14August 16, 2020 12:21 AM

R14 the expectation and pretense of these actors make me lol. Congrats to Kieran whose big erect cock on is the subject of many jerk offs on xvideos, xhamster, pornhub etc. again and again for the years to come.

by Anonymousreply 15August 16, 2020 12:35 AM
Why do some actors gain weight for a role instead of wearing padding and prosthetics?

Sir or madam, there's a big difference between making yourself look more like a character physically and sticking your cock in a vagina. Beyond the possible transmission of STDs, pregnancy and of course getting someone's vaginal fluids or cum all over you -- some actors are actresses aren't into the idea of having sex with someone in a room full of people. They may not even like the person they're working with.
I don't class "Intimacy", or John Cameron Mitchell's "Shortbus" (which also had un-simulated sex) as being equal to porn because I don't think the scenes were done for titillation.

Except the sex scenes were used to promote the movie so you can't separate the fact that people had actual sex FROM the plot of the films. Besides, you could have gotten away with doing the film without people actually having sex or masturbating. "Why did they do it then?" So every damn interview and article about it could use it to draw an audience in.

I don't think of them as "porn" but I don't think of them as mainstream either.

Also I'd add that no one from the main cast of Shortbus has done anything but short films, bit roles and voice overs since they did the film.

by Anonymousreply 16August 16, 2020 12:36 AM

If only Joseph Gordon-Levitt had been cast in Shortbus. Where is that legendary audition tape, by the way?

I never understood why either guy agreed to do those respective films - especially Kieran O'Brien in Nine Songs.

by Anonymousreply 26August 17, 2020 5:00 AM

The thing is the female actress is usually the one ostracized if she engages in an unsimulated sex scene with another actor. Whatever happened to Kerry Fox? I think she still works but her career will never reach the heights of Mark Rylance. I mean, he went onto win an Oscar. I remember before IMDB shut down its forums, the Kerry Fox page was littered with threads calling her a whore, prostitute, pornographic actress, etc. I think IMDB had to delete them.

Chloe Sevigny also continues to be criticized. I believe there was a thread here on DL condemning her for doing The Brown Bunny.

by Anonymousreply 27August 17, 2020 5:10 AM
Chloe Sevigny also continues to be criticized. I believe there was a thread here on DL condemning her for doing The Brown Bunny.

Eh?

To be fair, Chloe Sevigny has worked non stop for years on movies and even a long running TV series or two after "The Brown Bunny." She was on "Big Love" for 5 years and I think by now people have forgotten about it. Mark Rylance was in his mid-50s when he won that Oscar.

It helps that she is considered to be a bit strange anyway and that Vincent Gallo has faded into near obscurity.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I don't think she's the best example.

As for Kerry Fox she has said she doesn't regret doing Intimacy. She has also said, again, that there aren't good roles for women in their 40s and 50s and she rejects many of them. Sadly, even if she didn't do Intimacy, she'd be having a hard time now and she recognizes that because we know how Hollywood treats older women.

Intmiacy is a fantastic film and it still holds up.

9 Songs and Shortbus were bores at best.

by Anonymousreply 29August 17, 2020 6:24 AM

The guy from 9 Songs did have a nice cock.

I doubt most actors get hard when they are filming love scenes, everything I've ever heard described about it indicates it's the least sexy thing ever, with multiple people in the room, awkward angles, constant stop-starting etc.

by Anonymousreply 30August 17, 2020 10:05 AM

R27 Margo Stilley also complained alot about being pigeonholed etc. Her unsimulated sex scene used to be the no. 1 topic on her imdb board, too. The funniest thread title was "Do do think she's still a virgin?".

But I think these women are very naive. Promiscuity has always been more condemned in women and than in men. And all cultures favor demure and chaste women traditionally. From a biological standpoint it makes perfect sense. Men hate promiscuous women because they are afraid of bearing the cost for children that are not theirs. A woman can only give birth a limited number of times during her life while men can father an almost unlimited number of offsprings. Childbirth is pretty dangerous for women and thus they are expected to be more careful. Most people still think: woman fucking on film = reckless whore

by Anonymousreply 31August 17, 2020 12:14 PM

R24, the male actor is Kieran O'Brien in the movie "9 Songs". I do not know the name of the actress. Here is a set of pictures in another movie role. He is obviously not bothered by nudity, that would be an understatement. He keeps his bush natural, something I appreciate. I'm still thanking Michael Fassbender for his contribution to the cause.

I swear Michael Douglas is really munching Sharon Stone's box in Basic Instinct. You can see the flaps of her vagina attached to his face at one point.

by Anonymousreply 39August 22, 2020 3:55 AM

I think Con O'Neill got hard when he fucked Freddie Fox in "Cucumber." Con doesn't undress, but how could you not get hard seeing a fully naked young Freddie Fox? I bet he asked to remain clothed so that his boner wouldn't be obvious.

Eh, I just rewatched his scenes.

It's a scene where he pretends to masturbate. So he technically isn't working with another actress or actor.

He also doesn't look hard. Maybe he has a semi but he's not hard.
