It is so weird how the trumpers channel all their anger through this issue. It is absurd. But it is so simple. Trump dropped the ball and drove the nation into a ditch. He finally noticed when the markets tanked. Now they attack a virus as being overblown or even fake to protect his rep.
I don't use the word, but I am beginning to understand the meaning of "deplorables".

They don't accept your logic, OP, and simply deny that wearing a mask does anything to curb the spread of the virus.
In many cases, they deny the virulence and even the existence of the virus.
