In terms of surprising, are James Carville and his wife still married? I can’t for the life of me imagine having that degree of ideological difference from my life partner, especially in this day and age. It might not have meant as much before politics became the horror show it is now, but I couldn’t see building a life with someone who supported Trump and/or the GOP.
