TV shows you binge-watch over and over

I never get tired of these:

Curb Your Enthusiasm

The Windsors

Frasier (a bit less than the others; I dislike the way they belittle women)

You?

by Anonymousreply 63August 11, 2020 2:20 PM

Good Place Better Things

by Anonymousreply 1August 10, 2020 2:24 PM

Six Feet Under - but all the endless fake snogging is getting to be annoying.

by Anonymousreply 2August 10, 2020 2:25 PM

"Downton Abbey", "Dark Shadows", "Ray Donovan", "Six Feet Under", "The Tracey Ulman Show", "Shameless". Oh, and for some strange reason, I am fascinate with crap about Hitler and the Nazis and The Titanic so whenever one of those pops in channel surfing, I am glued.

by Anonymousreply 3August 10, 2020 2:26 PM

Everybody Hates Chris, Modern Family. Early seasons of oldies Mary Tyler Moore, All in the Family and yes, Roseanne.

by Anonymousreply 4August 10, 2020 2:27 PM

The Sopranos. I’ve probably watched the whole series 5-6 times now. I never get tired of it and I always spot new things.

by Anonymousreply 5August 10, 2020 2:27 PM

Golden Girls

by Anonymousreply 6August 10, 2020 2:29 PM

The Comeback.

by Anonymousreply 7August 10, 2020 2:29 PM

I have never binged any TV series more than once.

I will watch random reruns of Family Guy, American Dad, The Office, Law and Order SVU and House Hunters when I don't feel like focusing on the hour-long drama I am watching. But that's grazing, not bingeing

by Anonymousreply 8August 10, 2020 2:35 PM

The office, Frasier I can watch all the time, any episode.

I'm also able to just watch Law and Order episode for the 5th time and not be bored.

by Anonymousreply 9August 10, 2020 2:37 PM

Simpsons, Golden girls, Bob Burgers, law and order (any of them), Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock presents, Tales of the crypt, Kids in the Hall.

The Comeback!

by Anonymousreply 14August 10, 2020 2:48 PM

Opps, how could I have forgotten Boston Legal

I used to rewatch Will & Grace quite a lot, but the revival killed any love I once had for the show.

by Anonymousreply 18August 10, 2020 2:56 PM

The Young Ones

Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister

The New Statesman

Benny Hill (I know!)

Mr. Bean

Blackadder series

by Anonymousreply 19August 10, 2020 2:58 PM

Frasier and The Andy Griffith Show. Love me some Floyd, Goober, Barney and Aunt Bea.

by Anonymousreply 20August 10, 2020 2:58 PM

Law & Order SVU.

I could watch it all day. In fact I did. When I was unemployed every Saturday that was an SVU Marathon and 10 in the morning until 2 next morning

I like:

hearing dr. Melinda Warner say "vaginal tears" and no fluids;(which she pronounces Fa-LOO-ids) on the victim"

-Olivia's scoff/sigh which even out-dykes Jodie Foster in TSOTL.

-Huang's shit-eating grin

-Skoda's matter-of-fact-ness

And most of all-- Stabler's HOT butt!

[quote]Leverage, hands down. Love the chemistry among the cast, LOVE the concept of a small band of brilliant crooks out there taking down amoral gazllionaires, corrupt politicians, CEOs, and fraudsters.

by Anonymousreply 22August 10, 2020 3:07 PM

I cycle through the following shows that I have on DVD/Blu-ray;

The Mary Tyler Moore show

The original Law & Order, until Lenny leaves. My favorite team is Briscoe and Logan. I also love seeing 90s New York.

by Anonymousreply 27August 10, 2020 5:47 PM

The only one I've watched multiple times (and then only 2 or 3 times for random episodes, never in sequence) in recent years are the first three seasons of "Arrested Development" and "The Crown."

by Anonymousreply 28August 10, 2020 5:50 PM

So just when does Dark Shadows get good?

by Anonymousreply 29August 10, 2020 5:56 PM

R29) best question yet I hung on thru the first two seasons and it was a bore.

30 Rock

While I watched it during it's original run, the recent blu ray complete series is even better. Love the clever writing, great characters, marvelous actors and a constant flow of fantastic guest stars: Wil Arnett, Nathan Lane, Elaine Strich, Isabella Rossellini, Paul Rubens, Carrie Fisher, Megan Mullally, Steve Martin, Peter Dinklage, Patti LuPone, Julianne Moore, Matt Damon, Margaret Cho, James Marsden, Brayn Cranston, Catherine O'Hara, and fucking Oprah, for Christ's sake. And a very free, on the fly sensibility that gives the show energy and edge. Rapid fire jokes with lots of hits. Very fun to revisit the series. And the discs contain commentaries from the actors and other interesting bits. And being a show that was one of the first to be shot in HD, the picture quality is gorgeous. Well worth it, quality all the way around.

by Anonymousreply 32August 10, 2020 11:35 PM

Absolutely Fabulous. Especially the first three seasons. Every episode a classic. And the funniest outtakes you'll ever see.

by Anonymousreply 33August 10, 2020 11:40 PM

Lately, Bob's Burgers and Bob Heart Abishola (if you haven't seen the latter, check it out).

Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren on PBS. Love it!

by Anonymousreply 36August 11, 2020 12:37 AM

Another vote for Boston Legal. I've watched it several times. I used to have VHS tapes of China Beach I would watch over and over. My tapes are long gone. I wish someone would stream that.

by Anonymousreply 37August 11, 2020 12:57 AM

Jonny Quest original series. Effective artwork, music and likeable vintage charm. And kinda gay, if you're desperate for cartoon male bonding...

by Anonymousreply 38August 11, 2020 1:04 AM

I’ve been enjoying watching the original Loony Tunes on HBO Max. Damn, they were good. Much more surreal and meta than I remember them being. Really ballsy stuff.

by Anonymousreply 39August 11, 2020 1:06 AM

I recently binged The Good Wife. So good from beginning to end. I was even shocked by (redacted) death, even though I had seen the episode at least twice.

by Anonymousreply 40August 11, 2020 1:10 AM

I love Star Trek: The Next Generation. The evolution and maturation of the characters is great, once you get through the first season (which showcases Gene Roddenberry's drug habit in all its depressing severity).

by Anonymousreply 41August 11, 2020 1:17 AM

Girls

Mad Men

The Comeback

The Sopranos

Mom

Frasier

The Andy Griffith Show

Everybody Loves Raymond

Will & Grace

by Anonymousreply 53August 11, 2020 8:36 AM

I'm mostly like r52. The only exceptions have been I'll Fly Away, Homicide: Life on the Street, St. Elsewhere, and The Sopranos. And if someone in one of the Midwestern Marvels threads links to an episode of AW or ATWT on youtube, I will generally watch that episode and then another.

by Anonymousreply 54August 11, 2020 10:15 AM

Kath and Kim and Ab Fab.... guilty pleasures Glee and Teen Wolf.

by Anonymousreply 55August 11, 2020 10:26 AM

Mindhunter, American Crime Story, American Horror Story, probably some more. Honestly after rewatching a show for the third time it gets really tired, especially if it's a short series. But I still watch it for comfort and because I'm obsessed with the characters. I'll just put it on in the background when I'm doing something.

by Anonymousreply 58August 11, 2020 10:36 AM

I forgot the Star Trek shows (especially my fav Voyager = the Kes years).

Thanks for reminding me R58.

by Anonymousreply 59August 11, 2020 10:39 AM

Well R57, you make me feel better about my over indulgence in streaming.

by Anonymousreply 60August 11, 2020 10:44 AM

The Office, Original Star Trek, Futurama, Captain Scarlet, Frasier

by Anonymousreply 61August 11, 2020 10:45 AM

I watched the final season of Dark and then a week later went back and watched all three seasons again. I anticipate watching it at least two more times. It’s so rich and complex that I’m drawn back to as a giant puzzle to unravel and catch all the nuances.

by Anonymousreply 62August 11, 2020 10:46 AM

Glee, Supernatural (Season 1 only), Queer as Folk, Buffy, Law and Order: Criminal Intent (Season 1 only)

Naruto, My Hero Academia (Japanese anime is so much better than American cartoons!)
