Raw Steak is Delicious
Several YouTube personalities insist that raw steak is the best food in the world, and so I decided to try it out for myself.
I bought 16 oz of raw steak from a local butcher who farms only the best cows, feeds them organic grass, uses no hormones or chemicals, and humanely euthanizes the animals.
The steak was AMAZING. It tastes like nutrients. Eating raw, organic, and locally sourced beef and eggs is low risk for any disease.
Would any of you try it?

No, mostly because apart from temporary moments of insanity visiting DL, I'm a well adjusted normal human being.

What do nutrients taste like?

There is just a slight beef flavor, and you can taste the iron. I like it unseasoned with a kale salad, so while meaty, it really doesn’t have a strong flavor. Raw beef is much healthier than fried, grilled or baked meat. Overcooked meat is loaded with carcinogens.

As steak tartare, yes. I eat it often.
I wouldn't eat it in the US though.

Yes it’s delicious- but I would be very picky over where I sourced it from. Lots of a good salt adds to it.

You don't "euthanize" a healthy animal.

This YouTuber inspired me most. She’s 48, but looks 25 (for real) and eats mostly raw steak.

Rimming is healthier than eating raw meat.

R11 no idea if you are telling the truth but she does NOT look 25.

I don't mind a few bites of a good steak tartare but there is no way in creation that I could choke down a pound of raw steak. Ugh.

I was going to say you made it too obvious, but you've gotten 18 serious responses in an hour and I can't argue with that.

The age when one could eat raw steak is long over. Yes, I did have steak tartare and I liked it. But now, no thanks.

I love me some tartare, and always have. I remember being a kid and watching my mother cook with ground beef and asking more than once if I could try some of it uncooked. Of course she said no, and because it used to be quite rare (carpaccio was the thing in the 80s), I didn't actually get to eat beef tartare until I was in my 20s.

Beeftec tartare is and always was a favorite but it is so risky.

I enjoy a medium rare steak, but I do make steak tartare every couple of weeks or so. It's delicious and quite safe if you don't make it from ground beef.
