I just rewatched Dirty Dancing a few nights ago during one of my insomnia bouts. Poor Cynthia looked anorexic and I never realized how manly the sister looked.

I agree Patrick Swayze is the main reason to Watch Dirty Dancing. I was never attracted to him but that man was magic on camera. Even the shitfest Roadhouse was watchable because of him.

The plot calls for "Baby" to break her hip while "dirty dancing." And in a nod to "Ghost" and holographic Patrick Swayze appears to heal "Baby" and they recreate their final dance from the original film.

There is no Dirty Dancing sequel without Patrick Swayze - it just doesn't make sense.

Not that I'm a huge Swayze fan. Rather, it simply cannot be the sequel that anyone would want to see without it.

I wouldn't mind a cameo from her if they do a sequel - although Grey was 30 playing 18, but now looks 60 vs. the 48 she should be 30 years later. Unless, of course, they set the movie to be 40 years later.
