The Great East Coast Power Outage of 2020

Who’s power is out? Where are you?

by Anonymousreply 20August 5, 2020 3:21 PM

Jersey Central Power and Light has 600,000 in the dark. I'm in Laurence Harbor.

Freehold, NJ. Power is out still. People are out in Asbury and Ocean Township too. I have a friend in PA out of power too.

R5, I have UI & they are pretty quick.

by Anonymousreply 8August 4, 2020 8:07 PM

Your subject heading is misleading, op.

The power outage is not an event that occurred by itself.

Rather, it's a side-effect of Hurricane Isaias.

So your title should be something like "Hurricane Isaias causes massive power outages in the Northeast."

Understand?

by Anonymousreply 9August 4, 2020 8:14 PM

Trump has shut the power off and he isn't turning it back on.

by Anonymousreply 10August 4, 2020 8:19 PM

Northern Westchester County, NY. Lost power around 2 pm, storm seems to be over now. I went outside and hear a lot of generators, chain saws and sirens so I suspect we’ll be down a while.

by Anonymousreply 11August 4, 2020 8:19 PM

Doing fine here in central PA

by Anonymousreply 12August 4, 2020 8:20 PM

R10 couldn't he turn it back on with an executive ordure?

by Anonymousreply 13August 4, 2020 8:22 PM

by Anonymousreply 15August 4, 2020 9:57 PM

Guess y'all's power must still be out.

by Anonymousreply 16August 5, 2020 12:41 PM

Thoughts and prayers.

by Anonymousreply 17August 5, 2020 2:41 PM

Poor Larry King, without his respirator.

by Anonymousreply 18August 5, 2020 2:50 PM

In Southeastern PA, parts of my county still without power.

We had a tornado strike Doylestown Hospital yesterday. Cars toppled over each other and the roof of the daycare center at the hospital blew off.

by Anonymousreply 19August 5, 2020 3:16 PM

CT no power since 2:30pm Tuesday and they are saying it will be several days before it’s restored.
