Couldn’t agree more with r3. The only female comedians she can accommodate are those that are younger than her and that she can dominate. An older, smarter, classier straight female comedian would effeminate her and make her feel weak.

Joan was sweet and kind but she was not one to be fucked with, remember when she said of Chelsea “don’t come for me you whore”. Ellen could not have put Joan in a submissive position. Same with Kathy so it was easier for her to just say “oh they’re mean”.
