A sad story all around, although it seems the hospital made the best decision under the circumstances. Or did they? Just because you “can” keep people alive even for a few more days or weeks, should you?

The issue is once the coronavirus goes away, the choices made during it will become the standard normal decision.

I've always been fascinated by the way disabled people cling to life and want to stay alive as long as medically possible.

I'm able bodied and if it wasn't for the fact that my mother needs me to take care of her, I would have probably killed myself long ago.

The fact that his wife wasn’t legally allowed to make medical decisions for him - a legal guardian was appointed previously - is a huge red flag.
