NYC authorities break up sex party in crackdown on large gatherings
All right, which one of you bitches organized this?
[quote] The Office of the New York City Sheriff, which has taken the lead on enforcing social distancing guidelines, is responding to tips from the public on parties believed to violate COVID-19 measures.
[quote]One such tip led to authorities busting up what they say was a sex party of about 30 people in Midtown Manhattan on Friday. The person who allegedly coordinated the event is expected in court soon, authorities said.

I don't understand the photo. Did the sex party happen in the streets?

Wouldn't it be funny if Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo were among the revelers?

It would be especially funny given that Chris Cuomo is not gay, r2.

Then it would not be funny, it would be very good news. And God knows a dick in his mouth is probably the only thing that would get him to shut up for minute.

Andy Cohen could go as Anderson Cooper's snack purse.

I wish I was invited to a Corona sex party. I wouldn't go but it would be nice to be invited.

Isn’t a sex party of thirty people very bottom-of-the-barrel? It sounds gross.

I was at a gay sex party in the early 90s that was raided by the police.

Then what happened? Where was it? Details r11.

[quote]Then what happened? Where was it? Details [R11].
It was at that gay tv studio on West 14th Street. Sorry, I can't remember the guy's name (can one of you eldergays help me?) but he was real sketchy.
There were about 30 guys in attendance. Some totally naked and some (like me) left their clothes on (I left my clothes on mainly because I didn't really feel confident about the clothes check and I also wondered if the guy was secretly filming it.) The lights were low and there was loud music playing.
Suddenly, the lights came on full blast and I looked over at the entrance and there were police standing there yelling for the music to be turned off. I felt sorry for this one guy. He had the longest dick I've ever seen (possibly 12") but he had stringy, long greasy hair and was really skinny (like skeletal) so he wasn't getting as much action. Anyway, when the police came in, he was standing totally naked right near the door. The lead police guy yells "Everybody get dressed" and he looks over at the poor, skinny guy with a look of disgust. We were told to leave the premises immediately. Once I got to the street, there was no police rounding anyone up, so I just walked home.

Shocking! That there's a gay tv company on West 14th Street.

R14 when was this? There were sex clubs within a few blocks that had sex parties every night. Prism was one in the1990s. The TV studio must not have paid off the cops.

[quote]The TV studio must not have paid off the cops.
I secretly think that the guy who ran the tv studio got tired of the party and called the cops himself.
What was that guy's name? Gary? something? He's been discussed on DL before.

30 is not a large gathering and the cops need to keep their tiny dicks to themselves.

At Mirage they used to have you show your dick in order to enter, as a way of keeking it the cops - the real dicks.

I wonder if this was the NYJP party. The organizer had ludicrously begun charging people (up to $99 a month!) to get on the pandemic invite list.

Are you serious? $99 to get on an exclusive New York Jacks list?

Possibly stupid question but: HOW do authorities have any authority to come into a privately owned building and dictate what the men in there can and cannot do with their bodies? I’d understand if it were a public facility and/or operating as any type of business or formal social club but apparently it was not.. And I’m not saying those guys were being smart. They were all being careless assholes.
But if this were a group of women, say gathering for a one-night free pregnancy termination service, would the police so emboldened to do the same thing? With the media report it without calling the authorities into question for their motives? That particular (pregnancy termination) instance would be more regulated due to its nature, but I truly doubt any of us here believe the cops would do anything about that because it would be so potentially volcanic.
So if a group of consenting adult men are together within a privately owned space where there have been no reports of violence or egregious lawlessness based on established criminal code, would the cops’ actions not constitute a gross violation of constitutional rights, their rights to privacy and intimidation?

It was the NYJP/Members Only party. I’ve never been but i got an email invite. The organizer had different tiers of membership at education prices and no explanation of safety measures that would need to occur before a bunch of Manhattan hoes get naked in a tight enclosed probably not clean space. Meanwhile, the bear party (at paddles) will not resume until at least 2021 or once a vaccine is in place. I do miss going to sex parties but it’s not worth the risk, to myself and others.

NYJP is the New York Jock Party, which is a full-on, completely naked sex party, and is not the same thing as New York Jacks, which only allows masturbation. I was surprised a the level of sex that my buddy described goes on at NYJP. Back in my 20s & early 30's when I was doing that sort of thing, it was much more restrictive.

I've been to a couple NYJP parties in Midtown. I assume its the same space. Not very big/ventilated. The NY Jacks Party at Paddles would seem safer.

R14, the TV-studio turned sex club at night was on W25 or 26th, I thought. It was run by sketchy gay cable show producer Lou Maletta.
I never went but a friend loved that place. (Way back in the naughts)
I wonder why the police would break it up. What was illegal about it?

He may have moved it. I went in the very early 90s (maybe 92 or 93?) and it was West 14th Street.
I think the police raided because of the music because it was loud (and they probably knew that it was a gay business). I can also believe they didn't pay their protection money on time.
