The Wonder Years had some of the best writing on TV. I loved that show.

That’s it, I demand an all-gay all-white all-male reboot of [italic]Good Times[/italic] with the theme song performed a capella by a Gay Men’s Chorus.

I want a gay male remake of “The Golden Girls” with four old queens living together.

Sounds more interesting than the original.

yes, let's keep attempting to solve America's class issue with race optics. Truly, the most unintellectual moment of my lifetime.

Oh come on. It’s not a Reboot- it’s just a new show about the same time period with the same name. It’s not like they will have the same plots just replaced with black people. It will be different stories. I think it sounds like a great idea.

Sounds good

R7 didn’t drink the Kool-Aid. He IS the Kool-Aid.

When white people do this, it's "cultural appropriation."
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 30, 2020 11:23 AM |
R4 Isn’t that what Queer Eye is with an extra one added in for good measure?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 30, 2020 11:55 AM |
But Winnie will still be white right?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 30, 2020 11:56 AM |
Wait, wasn’t “Wonder” on the show connected to Wonder bread? What will this be called, The Dark Rye Years?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 30, 2020 11:58 AM |
Cool

A reboot of the Wonder Years is definitely worth getting your panties in a bunch!

Will the parents even be married in this one?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 30, 2020 12:03 PM |
This "reawakening" has only just begun. I'd hate to be a White actor in Hollywood right now.

This is Everybody Hates Chris which was set in the 80s. There's no originality on television anymore.

I don't necessarily mind this if it's just a new show.
I mean, the Goldbergs is essentially the wonder years in the 1980s.
The basic premise of an adult looking back on his childhood with "wonder" is neither original nor sacrosanct, per se.
Now, if they were actually recasting the original show with a rainbow of diversity, as opposed to merely reusing the concept, that's different and not what the description implies, either.

Josh Saviano turned out to be a very handsome man.

Will Marilyn Manson be in the reboot as well?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 30, 2020 1:28 PM |
Is Netflix producing it? They just acquired Moesha, The Parkers, Sister, Sister, Half & Half and One on One because of the "high demand of people asking for them." Sure, Jan. I can't tell you how many people I know were wishing Sister, Sister was on Netflix.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 30, 2020 1:29 PM |
I freaking loved Sister, Sister!

Imagine going the other way? Gentrified 227. They had a white tenant the last year of the show. I'm sure he could have bought the building and brought some older hipsters to the building.
