Was Blanche Devereaux a bad landlady?

She banned microwaves, constantly belittled her renters, asked them to chip in for a new roof and continously brought home random men who could have easily raped and murdered the other girls in their sleep.

Was she a competent homeowner? Would you have rented from her?

Well, she did give them all shares in the house in season seven.

So, no.

by Anonymousreply 1July 16, 2020 6:20 PM

Her bedroom was not restricted.

by Anonymousreply 2July 16, 2020 6:21 PM

How much was the rent, anyway? The "Three's Company" rent was $300 for a two-bedroom, one bath apartment a few blocks from Santa Monica beach.

by Anonymousreply 3July 16, 2020 6:25 PM

She didn’t bring home cocaine. So better than most Miami landlords in the ‘80s. In fact, she always kept a good supply of Metamucil.

by Anonymousreply 4July 16, 2020 6:35 PM

She did provide a piana once every 7 years..

by Anonymousreply 5July 16, 2020 6:44 PM

She put up with a lot of abuse

by Anonymousreply 6July 16, 2020 8:41 PM

She wasn’t a landlady. She was a character written years ago on a sitcom played by an actress long dead.

by Anonymousreply 7July 16, 2020 8:55 PM

I bet you're real fun at parties, R7.

by Anonymousreply 8July 16, 2020 8:59 PM

I am R8 Parties happen in reality.

by Anonymousreply 9July 16, 2020 9:04 PM

R9 eat dirt and die trash

by Anonymousreply 10July 16, 2020 9:05 PM

R10 should i eat the dirt from Rue McClanahan’s grave? Or how about Bea Arthurs? At least i’ll be outside & engaged in reality & not the land lady duties of a fictional character

by Anonymousreply 11July 16, 2020 9:11 PM

R8 = Poster child for Asperger's awareness

by Anonymousreply 12July 16, 2020 9:11 PM

If R11 lived in the house, none of The Rusty Anchor men would have bothered to fuck her

by Anonymousreply 13July 16, 2020 9:30 PM

Blanche didnt have a basement for R11

by Anonymousreply 14July 16, 2020 10:06 PM

Yes. The revolving door of men guests disrupted my nightly sleep regime.

by Anonymousreply 15July 16, 2020 10:08 PM

Again...how much did Blanche charge the other girls for rent each month???!

by Anonymousreply 16July 16, 2020 10:09 PM

Dorothy got a 2 4 1 discount for the old Gheko

by Anonymousreply 17July 16, 2020 10:32 PM

She was never a lady.

by Anonymousreply 18July 17, 2020 12:30 AM

Who paid for all the cheesecake?

by Anonymousreply 19July 17, 2020 12:53 AM

say they each paid 500 per month. that would include utilities and water.

by Anonymousreply 20July 17, 2020 1:16 AM

I would pay $1,000 Just to wack off in the next room while listening to her get banged by AARP dick.

by Anonymousreply 21July 17, 2020 1:47 AM

I'm with R19, the cheesecake budget must have been through the roof. Whatever she charged wasn't enough.

Plus, no intruder would be able to figure out the layout of the bedrooms so I think they were all safe.

by Anonymousreply 22July 17, 2020 1:55 AM

R22 I had to buy a gun to feel safe in that house so it shows what you know.

by Anonymousreply 23July 17, 2020 10:59 AM

We even had a big strappin' thing like Dorothy around to protect us.

by Anonymousreply 24July 17, 2020 11:01 AM

She and her male friends were awfully loud sometimes when they were playing scrabble in her bedroom

by Anonymousreply 25July 17, 2020 11:22 AM

R11 - says he’s outside & based in reality Also R11 - comes on to virtual blog to pick fight about fictional character

🤦🏻‍♂️😂 mouth breathers are the worst

by Anonymousreply 26July 17, 2020 3:00 PM

She did tell each girl more than once she wanted them to move out or that they weren't welcome..

by Anonymousreply 27July 17, 2020 4:31 PM

R26 take a joke dude. Remember pointless bitchery? On the 5000th golden girl thread? You do get that i POSTED on this thread right?

by Anonymousreply 29July 18, 2020 3:16 AM

When the three "girls" moved to the Golden Palace, to whom did Blanche sell the house? They lived at the hotel, right?

by Anonymousreply 30July 18, 2020 3:52 AM

R31 it blew up like the little house on the prairie town. Took the Empty nest house & kirsty mcnicol’s career wth it.

by Anonymousreply 31July 18, 2020 6:19 AM

Hers was a bawdy house.

by Anonymousreply 32July 18, 2020 6:27 AM

Wasn't she rich? (descended from money?) Why'd she need roommates?

by Anonymousreply 33July 18, 2020 6:36 AM

R28 Thanks for posting that.

by Anonymousreply 34July 18, 2020 9:47 AM

Did any of the girls stay in touch with Burt, Julio or even Bob Hope?

Didn't Sophia & Max stay married?

Didn't they get insurance money from the burned down business? Maybe Max was well off before he married Sophia.

I think Max died right after Dorothy left & Sophia got all of his stuff.

Enough to buy a hotel with Blanche's house money (& she probably had some of her rich boyfriends buy some shares in the hotel as well).

by Anonymousreply 35July 18, 2020 9:51 AM

Blanche is beyond reproach.
