Alas, it’s in LA and not Miami.

Mike Brady had a three-way with Kelly Wearstler and Jonathan Adler?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 15, 2020 7:08 PM |
Where’s the rest of it?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 15, 2020 7:15 PM |
I suppose the prestigious Hawaiian architects may in some measure account for the ndless lanai references.
The interior looks like I imagine the interior of a Stuckey's Restaurant might have looked.

Thank you for being a Tasteful Friend, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 15, 2020 7:21 PM |
I like it very, very much. I love how open and light it feels. I can attest that living in a midcentury modern house does spoil you a bit for that sense of lightness.

It's a Jetsons/MCM house who picked out the colors for the kitchen, was that the original kitchen? The person who took the photos used angles that made the rooms look enormous.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 15, 2020 7:38 PM |
i was expecting an updated kitchen, but i like what they did with it
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 15, 2020 7:39 PM |
i know it's a iconic house, but 3 million and no pool?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 15, 2020 7:41 PM |
Looks like it would be difficult to keep cool.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 15, 2020 7:43 PM |
Other houses right around there are wayyyyy more expensive. A great deal! Before I looked I was like ooooh Saltair is the Golden Girls street. Betty White still lives one or two streets over.
Listed two hours ago, very impressive OP.

I predict a bidding war.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 15, 2020 7:49 PM |
I’d take it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 15, 2020 7:58 PM |
Love the house, but oh-my-fucking-god who came up with the colors for that kitchen?? It's a nice layout, but OMFG!
And, yes, for $3million in LA I want a pool.

"Alas, it’s in LA and not Miami."
WTF? I'd rather live in LA than that shithole of a city in an even bigger shithole of a state commonly known as Florida, where you'd be surrounded by shitheads like Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 15, 2020 8:29 PM |
$462/mo HOA? Fuck that.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 15, 2020 8:52 PM |
R11, I predict it will be just between Lance Bass and HGTV again.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 15, 2020 8:52 PM |
This is the GG house?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 15, 2020 9:40 PM |
yes, Rose
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 15, 2020 9:42 PM |
Thanks, OP. I've looked for photos of the interior for years. Obviously I knew it wouldn't match the impossible set design from the show, but I was always curious to see it, nonetheless. It's...okay.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 15, 2020 9:55 PM |
Why is there an HOA? It doesn't seem to be a gated community.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 15, 2020 10:42 PM |
HGTV will buy it to do another series like they did with the Brady house.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 15, 2020 10:51 PM |
This one is mine, bitches!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 15, 2020 11:03 PM |
The house is surprisingly beautiful and chic inside and very well-priced for the area/Brentwood in general (most of your close neighbors are more in the $6/7 mil range). TV provenance or not, it will not last long. Great find.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 16, 2020 12:25 AM |
Betty White should buy it.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 16, 2020 12:55 AM |
R19: I've wanted to see the actual interior since forever! So this makes me very happy. I do love that you can still have cheesecake in the kitchen in that little eating area. And I LOVE the Japanese touches to the windows and some of the walling. I find it weird though that you have go through the kitchen to get to the front patio. And it doesn't seem that there's anyway to get into the house from the garage, according to the floor plan.
But, the show set actually looks like they took inspiration from the actual house, what with the high beam ceilings and the numerous sliding window doors in all the bedrooms on the show. And yes, my gay ass was actually placing all 4 girls in this house's bedrooms, I was thinking Sophia would be off in the one behind the kitchen. Thanks for posting this OP!

Do the sellahs take Nature's Credit Card©?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 16, 2020 3:25 PM |
I love it.
Do the wooden beams all have those weird looking pock marks they did on the show?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 16, 2020 3:31 PM |
Again with the painted wood. Sigh.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 16, 2020 3:36 PM |
I gay gasped. Dream home right there. And I LOVE the colors in the kitchen.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 16, 2020 3:39 PM |
A lot of great details, but could use a bit of color. It's sunny in LA almost all year. I feel like I would need sunglasses in some of those rooms.
The beige is disappointing as are the bathrooms. But overall a great place.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 16, 2020 3:42 PM |
Looks like no privacy.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 16, 2020 3:43 PM |
It seems rather institutional/commercial---would make a great showroom. I think I would get tired of seeing so much of the inside and dealing with all those doors.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 16, 2020 3:43 PM |
R31: Only if you don't draw some curtains, Rose.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 16, 2020 4:17 PM |
There are no fucking curtains because curtains would destroy the look of the house. The solution would be landscaping, if there were any land to scape.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 16, 2020 5:07 PM |
Loose the Soji doors and you have a winner.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 16, 2020 5:39 PM |
R34: How would curtains destroy the "look" of the house? They're on the inside and most of the windows face to the side or on the spacious backyard with lanai and room for a luxury barbecue. Get blinds if curtains distress you.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
