Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews fired from Dancing with the Stars

I'm shocked about Tom, he is so good at what he does and does it with ease. None of the female hosts have ever been good.

If they think new hosts is going to bring in ratings, they are wrong. They need "stars" who people are interested in and aren't D List to save this show.

Erin Andrew is no great loss but Tom Bergeron? He and his gentle snark made it bearable. (Although I gave up watching when they started bringing on GOP losers like Spicer as a regular feature of their casting.).

The ratings are terrible as they have run out of C and D list celebrities to boogie on the dancer floor

Firing Tom is a mistake. He is more associated with the show than anyone, including the judges, and the audience feels comfortable with him. In addition, he is adept at handling the difficulties that sometimes occur in a live program. He also shows compassion for the dancers that appears to be authentic. Audiences respond to authenticity and can smell phoniness a mile away. Unless they can bring in some really appealing "stars," I don't imagine the show will last. What sells: sex, authenticity, talent (perhaps in that order); thus, Gleb, Tom, and an occasional talented "star."

As Bergeron lamented. Kristi Yamaguchi, Jordan Fisher, Amber Riley, Apolo Anton, Julio Castervietes, Rashad Jennings, Emmitt Smith, Alfonso Ribeiro, Laurie Hernandez and a deaf gay man have all won the show.

The casting of Tyra Banks is all wrong though. Not because she's black - but she's just a fake ass woman and nowhere near young enough to change things up. Jordan Fisher and Witney would have made fantastic hosts. Or even that Alfonso guy with Tyra. I bet Banks insisted on being the only host. She's got that kind of ego.

Truth is the show was often a great deal of fun and some very good entertainment over the years. Some dances I still remember. Some sexy ass men and women too. The gorgeous and spectacular Allison Holker was cast on DWTS only because Derek adores dancing with her. He has worked with her a few times and she inspires him. She is one of the great modern dancers in the world. But she never was a ballroom dancer. Keo deserved better than the partners he's been given, but it's not racist. It's Hollywood hierarchy. Emma was given every old fat white man on the planet to dance with, before she was gifted Rashad. He likes to dance, still. Cute ass man. Don't start with the no Latino representation among the pros.
