I loved her songs "Waiting for Tonight" and "On the Floor," but have found her super annoying once she hooked up with ARod. Before she seemed kind of bitchy but wistful but now she seems so smug. She was good in the Stripper movie although it wasn't a stretch by any means.

She was definitely one of those artists that the industry pushed hard onto us. But it's false that she stole other artist vocals and didn't sing. What happened was artists would send her demos and the producers would keep the vocals on the demos rather than use the beat and lyrics. So for example, "I'm Real" has J. Lo singing (of in her case talking) the song while Ashanti is very clearly on the chorus. Same with Brandy in Play. Natasha Ramos in Jenny on the Block. It's vocal blending and studio tricks. J. Lo sings over other artists vocals or has the artist sing the chorus. Timberlake, Rihanna and Britney have also done this.

And when artists send in demos, the labels can still use the vocals. It becomes the property of the label once they buy it from the artist. But everyone involved got paid and credited if you look up the songs on Wikipedia or if you owned the CD, the backup singers and writers would likely be credited in the booklet. If Jennifer and her label refused to credit anyone, she would have been sued. This isn't like the 1950s and 1960s, when artists actually could steal and get away from it (looking at Led Zeppelin).
