Thoughts? It was built as a Christian cathedral 1,500 years ago. Then became a mosque 900 years later when the Ottoman Empire took over Constantinople/Istanbul.
It has been a museum open to all since 1937. I was lucky enough to visit it years ago, and it was absolutely breathtaking. I hope they don't further destroy the original Byzantine mosaics of important Christian figures.
Sad.
