In-N-Out is Meh

Vile fries. This perfectly describes In-N-Out

by Anonymousreply 158July 10, 2020 3:05 AM

It's bland and overrated but Californians will be here to say that "If you don't like it, then you..."

by Anonymousreply 1July 3, 2020 7:19 PM

Those guys should lose the burgers and start making out. Yes, I know they're brothers

by Anonymousreply 2July 3, 2020 7:21 PM

The burgers are good, the fries, not so much. I also like that they have brewed, iced tea.

by Anonymousreply 3July 3, 2020 7:40 PM

Lol, these guys are pretty cute and funny. FTR, I'm a fat East Coaster and I loved it when I tried it.

by Anonymousreply 4July 3, 2020 7:41 PM

I've only attempted to go there a couple of times and there's always a 30 minute or so wait. I don't get it, it's supposed to be FAST FOOD. If I wanted to take that long, I'd just go to a sit down restaurant.

by Anonymousreply 5July 3, 2020 7:42 PM

[quote] Vile fries.

This is kinda funny considering unlike all the others' fries these are actually straight cut potatoes, not 57-ingredients-pretend-to-be potato fries.

by Anonymousreply 6July 3, 2020 7:49 PM

Shake Shack has excellent fries

by Anonymousreply 7July 3, 2020 7:51 PM

Burger King has the best fries

by Anonymousreply 8July 3, 2020 8:03 PM

Kill yourself, R8. Burger King changes their fries every 30 seconds and they always suck anyway.

by Anonymousreply 9July 3, 2020 8:07 PM

Yeah BK has always had suspect fries, which is why they change them so often

by Anonymousreply 10July 3, 2020 8:18 PM

McDonald's kills in the fries department.

In-n-Out fries are flavorless and can't compare to McD's.

by Anonymousreply 11July 3, 2020 9:23 PM

McD’s fries are, indeed, flawless.

by Anonymousreply 12July 3, 2020 9:24 PM

In-N-Out fries are tasteless. I see them cutting up the potatoes, but don't know why they end up tasting like fried Styrofoam.

by Anonymousreply 13July 3, 2020 9:38 PM

R13 I think they're just a vehicle for condiments/animal style.

by Anonymousreply 14July 3, 2020 9:50 PM

The in n out here in my town in texas was really busy yesterday, it usually does ok business but the line was really long at about 2 PM.

by Anonymousreply 15July 3, 2020 9:52 PM

[quote]I've only attempted to go there a couple of times and there's always a 30 minute or so wait. I don't get it, it's supposed to be FAST FOOD. If I wanted to take that long, I'd just go to a sit down restaurant.

Their priority is the drive-thru window - it will always be faster driving through than going inside.

That being said, as a native Angeleno, I have never gotten the hype. The taste is mediocre at best, and the price, the wait, and the vibe of the clientele does not warrant a repeat visit.

by Anonymousreply 16July 3, 2020 10:03 PM

All food is essentially in-n-out...

by Anonymousreply 17July 3, 2020 10:07 PM

Shake Shack is better.

by Anonymousreply 18July 3, 2020 10:14 PM

By far

by Anonymousreply 19July 3, 2020 10:15 PM

Good news, Whataburger is expanding

by Anonymousreply 20July 3, 2020 10:18 PM

Culvers in the midwest is really good. But it's in the midwest, which is a deal breaker.

by Anonymousreply 21July 3, 2020 10:20 PM

Native Californian here, and I always thought In-N-Out was overrated.

by Anonymousreply 22July 3, 2020 10:27 PM

Debate of the century for fat whores

by Anonymousreply 23July 3, 2020 10:29 PM

Get those In n’ Out fries well done & animal style! You want the fries to be a little bit crispier so they don’t get soggy in the sauce. So much better!

by Anonymousreply 24July 3, 2020 10:33 PM

I'm digging the O'Shea bros. I have no clue about them, other than they're hot.

by Anonymousreply 25July 3, 2020 10:38 PM

I'm glad people are starting to say this so we can finally begin to heal. In-n-Out is on par with Wendy's/Burger King/whatever "fancy" meat McDonald's is hawking at any given time. And it absolutely, utterly pales compared to any slight step above burger joint. 5 Guys, Smashburger, even Red Robin body In-n-Out at will. And I say this as a former fat kid who was a former fat adult who changed his entire life and diet and got into shape very abruptly at 35 (and has maintained it for nearly a decade now) who craves ground meat smothered in cheese on nutritionless bread 100 percent of the time. I know from burgers.

And finally and most of all fuck In-n-Out burger for that goddamn name making me reach over to the goddamn shift key four times within a single sentence.

by Anonymousreply 26July 3, 2020 10:43 PM

I ate at In N Out when I went to California. It was completely unremarkable. I don't remember anything except those crappy fries, that needed to be cooked twice as long

by Anonymousreply 27July 3, 2020 11:36 PM

They’re hilarious! Don’t tell the Asians. They are the ones that have In-N-Out bumper stickers on the back of the Honda Civics.

by Anonymousreply 28July 4, 2020 12:01 AM

Only tried it once and was not impressed.

Fries, flaccid. Supposedly, they're good if you specify well-done.

Burger, I was not impressed with. Supposedly, "animal style" is how you should order it. IMO, you shouldn't have to order it with the extra condiments, which make it "animal style."

by Anonymousreply 29July 4, 2020 12:08 AM

r5, ppl in southern california are so fkin stupid. Or that lazy. Just go inside. You'll have your food within ten minutes. Ppl in California refuse to get out of their cars. Why would continue to go through a drive thru that is now spilling into a five lane highway.

by Anonymousreply 30July 4, 2020 12:16 AM

[quote]Supposedly, they're good if you specify well-done.

They're better if you order them well-done but "good" is still a stretch.

by Anonymousreply 31July 4, 2020 12:19 AM

I actually like Burger King French fries (thicker-cut than McD's, have not had them for a while, though). I like the McD's fries, but would prefer them just a little bit thicker-cut. When I eat the McD's fries, I need to bite into at least two fries at the same time. The worst would be shoe-string fries. I understand wanting to maximize fried surfaces. That's just my preference.

by Anonymousreply 32July 4, 2020 12:24 AM

We have an "In-N-Out isn't that great" thread at least 4 times per year. Does it even have the reputation to warrant the discussion anymore? It used to be different because it was ostensibly fresher and higher quality than the traditional burger chains, but it's really not special anymore.

by Anonymousreply 33July 4, 2020 12:26 AM

R30 People in Southern California have never walked a day in their fucking life

by Anonymousreply 34July 4, 2020 12:26 AM

How can you mess up fresh cut French fries? What is animal style?

by Anonymousreply 35July 4, 2020 12:28 AM

For big chains, I like Whataburger better.

by Anonymousreply 36July 4, 2020 12:34 AM

BK fries are awful. In N Out is fine but they have Bible verses on the bottom of their cups.

by Anonymousreply 37July 4, 2020 12:37 AM

r37, so?

by Anonymousreply 38July 4, 2020 12:46 AM

Since their fries don't have any Frankenstein ingredients, they need to fry them twice like the Belgians. MMM mmmm mmm!

by Anonymousreply 39July 4, 2020 12:52 AM

In-N-Out chocolate shakes are heavenly. I never order fries. 'll take a DoubleDouble animal style & a chocolate shake. Yeah baby!

by Anonymousreply 40July 4, 2020 12:54 AM

I just had it for lunch today! Pure bland trash. The fries are embarrassing and the burger has no taste. The line took 20 min. Never again.

by Anonymousreply 41July 4, 2020 1:03 AM

You'll go again.

by Anonymousreply 42July 4, 2020 1:17 AM

I admit that McD and Shake Shack have better fries. However, In N Out fries use a formula and technique that has been used by small burger joints for years. It was not until McD massed produced a coated fry that was frozen and shipped to a site, did Americans develop a new taste to these doctored up fries. Shake Shack and all the others doctor up their fries, which does taste good.

I have traveled in all 50 states and always make it a point to to try not only the local "best" burger, but I have tried many regional chains burger joints. There are a number of one location burger joints that are better than In N Out. if you really want to know more about these types of joints as well as other burger info, watch or read George Motz. He has made it a career to test burgers across the country.

In my opinion, for the price, consistency and taste, In N Out wins hands down. Runnerup is Culver's.

by Anonymousreply 43July 4, 2020 2:00 AM

r43 two questions:

1. What are you tasting with IN-N-Out? I had 2 hours ago and couldn't taste anything special? Just there.

2. Which non-coastal state was your favourite? I've resigned my self to the idea of a road trip at the end of the summer. I've been to up and down the West Coast. Any suggestions?

by Anonymousreply 44July 4, 2020 2:07 AM

I like my In N Out burger topped with those diced yellow spicy chilies! It can be rough the next day though :(

by Anonymousreply 45July 4, 2020 2:11 AM

I just saw the OP's video on Twitter, and damn, if that didn't completely nail it.

The burgers are mediocre, and the fries are TERRIBLE.

You could literally get better fries ANYWHERE. Wendy's, McDonald's, Burger King, Culver's, Dairy Queen, Red Robin, Five Guys, ... literally EVERY other place has better fries.

by Anonymousreply 46July 4, 2020 2:18 AM

Here's the truth, it's a good burger but yes a little overrated but still good. The fries are fine and probably healthier than the delicious fries you'd get elsewhere

by Anonymousreply 47July 4, 2020 2:19 AM

Their burgers are delicious and the fries are absolutely delicious!

by Anonymousreply 48July 4, 2020 2:20 AM

Disgusting fries

by Anonymousreply 49July 4, 2020 2:22 AM

I like the Burger Habit here in Orange County. Five Guys when I was on the East Coast. Culvers was awesome when I lived in Chicago.

by Anonymousreply 50July 4, 2020 2:22 AM

R47, by no criteria are In-n-Out fries "fine". They are terrible.

by Anonymousreply 51July 4, 2020 2:23 AM

Cookout is superior

by Anonymousreply 52July 4, 2020 2:23 AM

A triple triple, animal style, with fries, animal style, and a chocolate shake. Incredible.

by Anonymousreply 53July 4, 2020 2:24 AM

Last time I ate there I threw it all up. never again!

by Anonymousreply 54July 4, 2020 2:24 AM

I went to a small chain restaurant in Atlanta called Cook Out and they were really good

The fries were really good and the hamburgers were charbroiled

by Anonymousreply 55July 4, 2020 2:28 AM

Anyone remember "Backyard Burgers"? They were my favorite fast food burger.

RIP.

by Anonymousreply 56July 4, 2020 2:32 AM

Burger Chef, anyone? Was it good. I remember it existed, but don't remember the food.

by Anonymousreply 57July 4, 2020 2:35 AM

I remember loving it, but I can't remember what it was actually like, R57.

by Anonymousreply 58July 4, 2020 2:37 AM

In-N-Out is one of the few things that resemble "culture" in southern California. That's why they flock to it, not because of the food.

by Anonymousreply 59July 4, 2020 2:43 AM

Who cares about burgers, I would prefer to discuss the O'Shea brothers. How come one got great hair and the other one is folliclely challenged.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 60July 4, 2020 2:46 AM

The food is meh, but the guy in OPs video on the left is hot stuff.

by Anonymousreply 61July 4, 2020 2:53 AM

In-N-Out was the biggest disappointment during my trip to California. So totally overrated.

by Anonymousreply 62July 4, 2020 3:08 AM

r61 he's alright, with the hat on and no smile.

by Anonymousreply 63July 4, 2020 3:09 AM

That’s my type bro

by Anonymousreply 64July 4, 2020 3:12 AM

R44. A reply to your question.

I think Oklahoma has the greatest number and variety of best burgers. It may be the large number of cattle ranches. Texas is good too, but I like OK better. In OK try Claud's in Tulsa, Floger's in Ada, Hamburger King in Shawnee, J & W Chickasha but the town with the most is El Reno where I liked Johnnies Burgers and Sids Burgers. However, I have always loved the Juicy Lucy in the Twin Cities.

by Anonymousreply 65July 4, 2020 3:22 AM

R21 Culver's is in Arizona

by Anonymousreply 66July 4, 2020 3:27 AM

In-n-Out is so revolting they can't even contain the rancid stench emanating from their kitchens.

There are two in Glendale, and the first one hits you while you are still on the freeway at the 2 and the 134.

Then if you go anywhere near the Americana or downtown Glendale, it's like a dead In-n-Out skunk is following you everywhere for blocks and blocks.

by Anonymousreply 67July 4, 2020 3:30 AM

In an Out is cheap which is why people love it. I grew up on them so I get a craving every so often. You can get a burger, fries and a drink for around $6.

Also, there are Bible verses on the underside of their cups. Always has been.

by Anonymousreply 68July 4, 2020 4:00 AM

R 67. Since this is SO revolting, I would suggest you contact the California Air Quality for an objective review. I am quite certain they will discard your complaint.

by Anonymousreply 69July 4, 2020 4:01 AM

R69 one of those weird In-n-Out freaks who takes criticism of it personally

by Anonymousreply 70July 4, 2020 4:19 AM

Born and raided in LA and I&O has ALWAYS been overrated. The worst fries on the planet!

by Anonymousreply 71July 4, 2020 4:23 AM

R32 that explains it. You don’t just eat one McD fry. You shove like 10 in your mouth at once.

by Anonymousreply 72July 4, 2020 4:24 AM

Farmer Boys wins!

by Anonymousreply 73July 4, 2020 4:24 AM

I am quite certain R69 this is one of the dumber comments on this thread

by Anonymousreply 74July 4, 2020 4:26 AM

Went to grad school in LA - In & Out was meh and overrated. For a truly weird, truly LA, borderline disgusting yet actually quite tasty experience go get an Oki Dog (if they still exist). Also Tommy’s near USC.

by Anonymousreply 75July 4, 2020 4:32 AM

Blake's in New Mexico is by far the best burger chain.

by Anonymousreply 76July 4, 2020 4:39 AM

Cook Out or bust

by Anonymousreply 77July 4, 2020 4:54 AM

I was basically indifferent to this place until reading that they have Bible verses on the bottom of the cups. No thanks, it's a fucking burger not Bible study.

by Anonymousreply 78July 4, 2020 4:58 AM

[quote] [B]y no criteria are In-n-Out fries "fine". They are terrible.

"Fine" is a word people use when they don't have the courage or vocabulary to really describe something.

by Anonymousreply 79July 4, 2020 5:02 AM

“...And the Lord God so Loved the World that He sent it these misbegotten Fries”

by Anonymousreply 80July 4, 2020 5:02 AM

Kind of surprised Chik-Fil-A hasn't been called out by all the BLM protesters who still eat there

by Anonymousreply 81July 4, 2020 5:03 AM

yum-oooooooooooooooo

by Anonymousreply 82July 4, 2020 5:16 AM

Love the rug OP. It really ties the room together.

by Anonymousreply 83July 4, 2020 5:28 AM

R 74...your inability to recognize the over the top comment of R 67 is troubling. There are help lines.

by Anonymousreply 84July 4, 2020 11:39 AM

Why do these Christian food joints need to push their religion everywhere? Even Muslims have the decency not to blast the Qur'an in kebab places.

by Anonymousreply 85July 4, 2020 12:39 PM

R84 you are not funny or clever

by Anonymousreply 86July 4, 2020 6:57 PM

R47 people don't eat at In-n-Out if they are concerned about eating healthy food

by Anonymousreply 87July 4, 2020 7:01 PM

R76 Blake's does make a fine-ass green Chile cheeseburger, but I am STILL bitter about them supporting Prop 8 in CA.

In-n-Out made me hate California, but they didn't deserve Prop 8.

by Anonymousreply 88July 4, 2020 7:09 PM

I want those guys in the video to go In-n-Out of me

by Anonymousreply 89July 4, 2020 7:13 PM

Agreed re: mediocrity, but it never fails to amaze me how many people are in line in the drive-thru.

At all hours of the day. There are usually 8-10 cars backed up in the drive-thru, minimum. I've seen 15-20 cars many times - that's a fucking long line.

It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get through the drive through. It's something I will never understand.

by Anonymousreply 90July 4, 2020 7:18 PM

R84 your inability to properly refer to previous replies (hint, there's no space between the R and the number... something anyone else could have figured out on their own given the literally HUNDREDS of examples before them) is troubling.

There is a help link. In the upper right.

by Anonymousreply 91July 4, 2020 7:20 PM

A few years ago I got a couple In-N-Out gift cards so every once in awhile I'll brave the drive through. I have to give them credit that even with the long lines it moves quickly. Someone is standing there to take your order as you pull in and then there's a 10-15 minute wait as the line progresses - though once they asked me to pull over to wait for the well-done fries. I go to the one in Hollywood so maybe they've perfected the efficiency. I also refuse to go if the line of cars at the drive through is stretching out of the parking lot onto the street.

by Anonymousreply 92July 4, 2020 7:29 PM

I have nothing against fast food, trashy-tasty food....In-N-Out SUCKS.

by Anonymousreply 93July 4, 2020 7:45 PM

R91 thank you for the assistance. R86 I am not trying to be funny or clever. I am concerned about the use of risible words to make a point.

If the person does not like the odor, then state that in a way that civil. However, if the odor is truly a "rancid stench", then the State of California or others in authority should be notified to ensure there is not a problem with food preparation, disposal or other unsanitary conditions.

The President uses this methodology to divide the country, why do it here? We can disagree but with respect.

by Anonymousreply 94July 4, 2020 7:46 PM

Fine. That’s more left for me, OP.

by Anonymousreply 95July 4, 2020 7:48 PM

As someone grew up on the East Coast I remember being so excited to try In-n-out on my first trip out west. What a let down that was.

I do agree that it is fine given up cheap it is, but man, so overrated by its fanbase.

by Anonymousreply 96July 4, 2020 7:50 PM

R95 It's all yours!

by Anonymousreply 97July 4, 2020 8:07 PM

I'd rather have Steak and Shake

I'll show myself out....

by Anonymousreply 98July 4, 2020 8:18 PM

R94 you have an entitled off-putting way of communicating

by Anonymousreply 99July 4, 2020 8:20 PM

The reason In and Out fries are less popular than say, McDonald's is because they cut the potatoes on the spot. Other fast food places, like McDonald's soak the fries in sugar water ( corn syrup) before they are eventually fried.

by Anonymousreply 100July 4, 2020 8:26 PM

R100 doesn't mean they taste better.

by Anonymousreply 101July 4, 2020 8:29 PM

Eating any fast food is equal to drinking a six-pack of beer or going out for ice cream and shouldn't be considered a meal replacement.

by Anonymousreply 102July 4, 2020 8:31 PM

I’m so depressed my local Steak and Shake closed down. I think we are the only one has GDRitzy not crazy about shoestring fries and their chili Mac doesn’t compare to Steak.

I thought it has been confirmed it’s okay to eat at Chick. I knew they have the best fries but I just learned they have the best Macn cheese.

by Anonymousreply 103July 4, 2020 9:37 PM

You wanna try all that again in English this time, r103?

by Anonymousreply 104July 4, 2020 10:11 PM

In-n-Out is the hamburger version of Chik-Fil-A

by Anonymousreply 105July 4, 2020 10:16 PM

r78 Then don't look at the bottom of your cup. That was so hard.

by Anonymousreply 106July 4, 2020 10:20 PM

[Quote] Kind of surprised Chik-Fil-A hasn't been called out by all the BLM protesters who still eat there

Are you really surprised because I'm NOT.

by Anonymousreply 107July 4, 2020 10:21 PM

In n Out has great burgers and the best fries.

by Anonymousreply 108July 4, 2020 10:30 PM

R108 good one

by Anonymousreply 109July 4, 2020 10:38 PM

No one is delusional enough to think in-n-out has the best fries r108, even if they love their burgers.

by Anonymousreply 110July 4, 2020 11:10 PM

R108 is a shit-stirring liar.

by Anonymousreply 111July 5, 2020 12:14 AM

Inside-Out Burger only has locations in 3 or 4 states, right?

by Anonymousreply 112July 5, 2020 12:17 AM

Their fries are criminal

by Anonymousreply 113July 5, 2020 1:56 AM

California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Texas.

by Anonymousreply 114July 5, 2020 2:55 AM

We had 3 Steak and Shakes and the one closest to my house closed which leaves 2. I heard they are in trouble so hopefully they don't all close. Culver's is very popular here I always see tons of cars in their drive thru but I prefer Steak n Shake.

by Anonymousreply 115July 5, 2020 4:16 AM

I watch this Canadian guy who does fast food reviews and when he finally got to try a Culver's burger he said it reminded him of In N Out (I've never had In N Out they aren't in my state)

by Anonymousreply 116July 5, 2020 4:17 AM

R116 - I can assure you, Culver's butter burgers do not taste like IN-n-OUT. They are better.

by Anonymousreply 117July 5, 2020 4:22 AM

Culver's is similar to In-n-Out, but imagine if Culver's received all of this fanatical, overrated, undeserved praise.

by Anonymousreply 118July 5, 2020 4:24 AM

r117 you are saying Culver's is better? I really like the butter burgers but I think Culver's fries are bland so I substitute cheese curds or onion rings.

by Anonymousreply 119July 5, 2020 4:24 AM

Melissa Gilbert and Timothy Busfield are big fans of Culver's and she usually posts photos of herself eating there on roadtrips.

by Anonymousreply 120July 5, 2020 4:26 AM

I will say I like eating in a Culver's they are clean and well lit and I like being able to get extra ketchup and stuff at the little bar they have set up

by Anonymousreply 121July 5, 2020 4:34 AM

R118, in what possible way are Culver's and In-n-Out similar?

They're totally different. Nothing at all alike. Culvers is great (and has great crinkle-cut fries). In-n-Out has mediocre burgers, and shitty fries.

by Anonymousreply 122July 5, 2020 5:01 AM

Jack in the Box ripped off Culver's butter burger a couple years ago and it has stayed on their menu.

by Anonymousreply 123July 5, 2020 5:38 AM

I don't know why In-N-Out doesn't get the disdain for being an Evangelical Christian company the way Chik-Fil-A does. They both misuse hyphens.

by Anonymousreply 124July 5, 2020 5:48 AM

It's because Chik-Fil-A's owner was so brazen about specifically targeting gay rights. In-N-Out is quietly Christian and if the owners are anti-gay they don't broadcast it to anyone.

by Anonymousreply 125July 5, 2020 5:52 AM

Last time I ate there I got food poisoning. So I'm done.p

by Anonymousreply 126July 5, 2020 5:58 AM

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out, r126!

by Anonymousreply 127July 5, 2020 6:01 AM

Whataburger is the best.

by Anonymousreply 128July 5, 2020 6:23 AM

Whataburger is pretty good, this is true.

And their spicy ketchup?? HOLY FUCKING JESUS IT'S AMAZING.

by Anonymousreply 129July 5, 2020 6:26 AM

Whataburger is disgusting and their spicy ketchup, gross beyond words.

by Anonymousreply 130July 5, 2020 6:31 AM

If it’s good enough for Lady G, it’s good enough for me!

by Anonymousreply 131July 5, 2020 6:33 AM

R130 is just a contrarian who is also wrong.

by Anonymousreply 132July 5, 2020 3:01 PM

R132 is just a contrarian who is also wrong.

by Anonymousreply 133July 5, 2020 4:20 PM

R124, maybe most people aren’t anti-Christian. Actually most are not

by Anonymousreply 134July 5, 2020 4:26 PM

Is there any evidence that In n out funds anti-gay orgs like chic fil azz?

by Anonymousreply 135July 6, 2020 12:51 AM

I don't even think Chik-fil-A chicken sandwiches are good, they have a weird flavor to them. But the way they line up by the one by me you would think it was manna from heaven.

R136, so be it, but people love their sandwiches.

I just don't get it. I had a Chik-fil-A and the chicken tasted funky but I thought maybe I had a bad one. So tried it at a different location and same thing. I would rather have a cheap ass McDonalds McChicken off the $1 menu

I totally agree. The burgers are ok (the way they toast the buns makes it better than most fast food burgers) but those fries truly suck. I'd rather go to Fatburger when I decide to eat beef and that's maybe once a month. Burger King and Carl's Jr. have really good Impossible burgers when I absolutely crave fast food.

Who has best fries? Shake Shack?

by Anonymousreply 140July 7, 2020 9:00 PM

Fatburger and their steak-cut fat fries are much better than In-n-Out

by Anonymousreply 141July 7, 2020 10:03 PM

Anyone try the KFC fries?

by Anonymousreply 142July 7, 2020 10:22 PM

The tater wedges?

by Anonymousreply 143July 7, 2020 10:46 PM

I love the shoe string fries at Steak and Shake

by Anonymousreply 144July 7, 2020 10:49 PM

Most burger prices I try to get onion rings instead of fries. I am surprised that McDonalds has never offered onion rings, but they do have good fries. I also like Arby's curly fries otherwise most fries are kind of boring.

by Anonymousreply 145July 7, 2020 10:51 PM

Shake Shack fries are okay but nothing special. Better than In-N-Out but that's not saying anything.

by Anonymousreply 146July 7, 2020 11:06 PM

I love every single place mentioned in this thread, and I desperately miss In-N-Out.

by Anonymousreply 147July 7, 2020 11:10 PM

I eat Long John Silvers once a year, nobody admits to going there yet our LJS has been there for 40 years so somebody is giving it business. I love their hushpuppies, wish other places offered hushpuppies which I know are terrible for you.

by Anonymousreply 148July 7, 2020 11:27 PM

I like LJS too, R148. They know from fried foods.

Wayback Burgers is boss

The new KFC Fries are incredibly meh. Not in any way bad, just forgettable.

I vastly preferred their old Seasoned Potato Wedges. Those were not just awesome, they were UNIQUE. I would sometimes go to KFC just for those wedges. No way those new "fries" are going to entice me there.

by Anonymousreply 151July 8, 2020 8:29 PM

In n Out fries are delicious in a home made sort of way. If that's not for you, to each their own.

by Anonymousreply 152July 9, 2020 1:47 AM

They are disgusting

by Anonymousreply 153July 9, 2020 2:00 AM

R152 yeah, no

by Anonymousreply 155July 9, 2020 2:43 AM

No, R152, they're not. They're almost universally disdained. I don't know why In-N-Out's management hasn't taken this seriously.

by Anonymousreply 156July 9, 2020 6:08 AM

This thread has inspired me to go to Culver’s.

by Anonymousreply 157July 10, 2020 12:40 AM

I love Culver's fries.

The burgers... you have to get a double, and then you have to season it when they give it to you... they don't put any salt and pepper on the patty. If you do that, the burgers are good.
