Agreed that they are like the anti-Shark and Bee but the music really pushes them over the top from cute to too twee. There's an Urban Outfitters/Anthropologie/Insta aesthetic that is a turn off.

Here is another cute Japanese couple which are a little older than Shiba and Koji - Sinichi and Satoshi from TabiEats who have been together 18 years. In addition to recipe videos they also have reviews of food from Japanese vending machines, convenience stores, etc (which are vastly superior to the American versions).

Lovely videos. But, who's doing the shooting? It's clear they either hired a professional to shoot these vids or coerced a friend into doing it, which thereby makes the whole experience completely unnatural and totally inauthentic for me. No thanks.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hired professionals to do the job. In my experience, the Japanese are very serious about their hobbies, and producing sentimental, photo album content seems to be their hobby.

(If you're referring to the fact that Japan doesn't allow same-sex marriage yet, it was probably a religious commitment ceremony--which would be the next best thing to a real marriage before the law.)
