The hackers demanding $42 million or they'd release damaging information about everyone

Matt Gaetz and his son

What other scandals from the last month have faded into the background?

The one with the hackers was likely a load of bullshit in the first place.

Somebody paid because none of the dirt about any of them came out.

I don't think they had anything, they released some Lady Gaga documents and all it said was how much of a percentage she was making off of certain songs. It was mostly boring contracts, no "tea" to be had.

Didn't Trump have a bounty on his head last year? Right around the time he betrayed the Kurds.

I second Geoffrey Berman firing and the nominating of the highly unqualified TAK (Trump Ass Kisser). This scary that it happened and even scarier that it is being buried and forgotten.

Trump pushing the fake Obamagate conspiracy.

Rick Bright, government whistleblower, being reassigned to a lesser job because he wouldn't endorse Trumps hydroxychloroquine scam. I saw an article early today that the government has 66 million doses of hydroxychloroquine that Trump had the government buy that they now can't use for Covid.

by Anonymousreply 16June 30, 2020 12:18 AM

Trump going to give a "speech to the nation" written by Steven Miller (of all people!) to soothe the waters. They just love to float these things to give the Trump cult the *impression* he is presidential. Of course there was never any plan to actually address a fracturing nation.

And what about that damn caravan???

by Anonymousreply 17June 30, 2020 12:34 AM

That Michael Bloomberg said he would spend just as much money to elect the eventual Democratic nominee as he would if he was the nominee and that he would pay all his staff through October, both apparently were lies because he laid off all his campaign staff and stopped paying them and I sure haven't heard anything about him helping the Biden campaign.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s frequent taxpayer-funded “Madison” dinners, which appear to be more of a political opportunity for the secretary’s presidential ambitions than official diplomatic affairs.

Trump tearing up his translators notes after a two hour meeting alone with Putin in Helsinki. No other US officials were there just the translator, will we ever know what they discussed?

by Anonymousreply 19June 30, 2020 1:10 AM

r18 Bloomberg doesn't advertise that he is spending money on it but I understand the money is flowing like a river.

You have to give Trump credit Look at this thread and this is just this month. He is able to deflect from something every single day so that we forget about yesterday's news. It seems to be the one thing he is good at.

by Anonymousreply 20June 30, 2020 1:15 AM

r18 actually I was just wondering the other day if he is helping to fund The Lincoln Project.

Here are Bloomberg's personal donations. There aren't many but he's probably giving through a PAC or something. If you know its name you can look it up here.

R18 here, Wikipedia to the rescue:

[quote] Post campaign

[quote] Bloomberg suspended his campaign on March 4, 2020, and he endorsed the Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign. On March 20 he announced that he would transfer $18 million to the Democratic National Committee (DNC). He made a $2 million donation to the black voter registration group Collective Future and $500,000 for Voto Latino to register new voters. He has pledged to spend $15 Million to $20 million to register voters in five purple states. In addition, he announced a $2 million donation to the progressive group Swing Left to help Democrats in competitive races. He donated $5 million to Stacey Abrams's Fair Fight 2020 to encourage voter-registration and oppose voter-suppression measures.

[quote] Despite having promised his campaign staff they would be guaranteed jobs through November, on March 20 Bloomberg announced he was laying off his staff, although some may be hired by the DNC or other campaigns. The announcement came during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Former staff filed a class-action suit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on March 23. The Bloomberg campaign noted that some former staffers had already been hired by the DNC and all former staffers were guaranteed health care coverage through April. On April 27, 2020, Bloomberg announced that he would pay health care costs for campaign workers through November 2020.

Jared Kushner getting bailed out of his purchase of 666 Fifth Ave building by the Qatar government. He way over paid for it was on the verge of defaulting on the loan payments and by some miracle the Qatar government bailed him out claiming they didn't even realize they had done so.
