Ridiculous right?
They just played Garbage's Special on my local Oldies radio station

Sounds better than 99% of the music they play on Chicago's alternative station Q101 these days.

You're just old now OP. You're an oldie

Their music STILL sounds so fresh to me.

My wake up call was sweet dreams by eurythmics on the oldies station. This was in the mid 90’s.

Oldies?!?? Yikes. Love that song - god, garbage really brings me back (but not that far).

Who listens to commercial radio?

Every drag queen in creation was doing the remix of "#1 Crush" at one point.

Well, that is almost 20 years old now, shockingly.

A song should at least be 30 years old to be considered oldies.

WHET to Shirley Manson?

Can anyone comment on the recent comeback album of garbage?
If I like the old sound will I like the new sound?
I'm sorry, I just don't have the strength to go and listen for myself without incentive.

They've already released 20th anniversary editions of their first two albums including all of the B-Sides. I'm hoping that BeautifulGarbage gets re-released next year and they include "The World Is Not Enough" on it.

R12 I really like it. Much better than both of the records that came before it.

This was the first single off the most recent album. Loved it when it came out.
Can’t believe it’s been four years.

[quote] A song should at least be 30 years old to be considered oldies.
These days some stations are playing "oldies" as anything 10 years old or older.

When I was a kid in the 80s, oldies stations played songs from the 60s, and they definitely seemed "old." But the 20 years between the 60s and the 80s somehow seems longer than the 20 years between 2000 and now.
Great song though. Garbage helped make radio bearable in the late 90s.
