That stuff looks like it would survive a nuclear holocaust.

by How many of you have had it.reply 106/26/2020

Thank God I'm only husky!

by How many of you have had it.reply 206/26/2020

Shouldn't this thread have been titled "Fat Whores Weep!" or something along those lines?

by How many of you have had it.reply 306/26/2020

One of the best birthday cakes I’ve ever had.

by How many of you have had it.reply 406/26/2020

Bitches, I am a cake snob and usually look down my nose at things like Costco sheet cake, but it’s pretty appealing. It’s light and moist. Sometimes you want something heavy and rich with butter and quality ingredients. But sometimes you want a Costco cake.

Now my mouth is watering.

by How many of you have had it.reply 506/26/2020

That is dirt cheap for a sheetcake, but the containers don’t recycle without sanitizer and drying time.

Costco donates unsold pastry and these are a big pain to process responsibly. Old folks use this stuff as ballast for drinking.

by How many of you have had it.reply 606/26/2020

OP didn't post the article and expects everyone to visit the NY post website

Loser

by How many of you have had it.reply 706/26/2020

R3 should be the OP! You've failed DL, OP!

by How many of you have had it.reply 806/26/2020

One of the people they interviewed said that was why she had a Costo membership. Hey, dummy buy two cakes. Problem averted! Never been to Costo.

I haven’t been to Costco in years but those cakes were an awesome deal and edible.

Sending thoughts and prayers to Chrissy Metz!

by How many of you have had it.reply 1206/26/2020

I used to buy these when I was employed (for the office). They used to have a great carrot cake with apricot filling and cream cheese frosting.

by How many of you have had it.reply 1306/26/2020

yummy

by How many of you have had it.reply 1406/27/2020

A piece of cake sounds good right now. With coffee.

by How many of you have had it.reply 1506/27/2020

Yes, Op failed. Headline should read something like: COSTCO CUTS CHEAP CAKE, FAT WHORES RIOT!!

by How many of you have had it.reply 1606/27/2020

They also have not beem making any combo pizzas since the start of the pandemic!

This fatty needs some veggies on his pizza!

by How many of you have had it.reply 1706/27/2020

So you just buy three round cakes.

by How many of you have had it.reply 1806/27/2020

PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT THAT CAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

by How many of you have had it.reply 1906/27/2020

BJ's sheet cakes are really good also

by How many of you have had it.reply 2006/27/2020

Sheets cakes are so lower middle class

by How many of you have had it.reply 2106/29/2020

Not to worry, fatties, they'll be back post Rona.

by How many of you have had it.reply 2206/29/2020

What the fuck is a sheet cake? Just a big ugly cake?

by How many of you have had it.reply 2306/29/2020

I love a bit a cake!

by How many of you have had it.reply 2406/29/2020

I've never tasted a good sheet cake. But I don't think I've tried a cosco not that I would know.

by How many of you have had it.reply 2506/29/2020

Upper-crust thread.

by How many of you have had it.reply 2606/29/2020

I’ve only ever tasted their carrot cake version of the sheet cake because one of my friends used to get it for her birthdays every year. I’m snobby when it comes to what goes into my mouth (pun intended), but their carrot cake was absolutely fantastic.

by How many of you have had it.reply 2706/29/2020

Now I want cake and ice cream.

by How many of you have had it.reply 2806/29/2020

A sheet cake is a rectangular cake with a flat surface, no?

by How many of you have had it.reply 2906/29/2020

R29 fuck if I know. I’ve never been subjected to one.

by How many of you have had it.reply 3006/29/2020

by How many of you have had it.reply 3206/29/2020

Another reason to emigrate to Canada... but we will never let you in. We could put up with a lot but we are not sharing what little sheet cake there is.

by How many of you have had it.reply 3306/29/2020

A half sheet has 48 pieces in it? How big is a whole sheet? 5 ft long?

by How many of you have had it.reply 3406/29/2020

They're still selling 10" rounds. Which is easier to fit on your plate at breakfast anyway.

by How many of you have had it.reply 3506/29/2020

Sheet cake is the new toilet paper.

by How many of you have had it.reply 3606/29/2020

As sheet cakes go, they are pretty good.

by How many of you have had it.reply 3706/29/2020

Nothing like a roll in the sheets.

by How many of you have had it.reply 3806/29/2020

Nothing like a roll in the sheets with frosting.

Fixed it for ya, r38.

by How many of you have had it.reply 3906/29/2020

Bless.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4006/29/2020

So let me get this straight. They are saying that they won't bake the sheet cakes anymore due to the corona virus. But that small 10" cakes will "resonate" better with customers. That doesn't make any sense.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4106/29/2020

There is obviously a decrease in demand for party sized cakes. Supply and demand.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4206/29/2020

They still sell the mini lemon bites cakes. Made with Myers lemons they are like petit fours. Incredibly moist. They are great.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4306/29/2020

Hey, OP?

We knew an hour before you posted this, YOU FAT WHORE.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4406/29/2020

Those 10" are bite sized, really.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4506/29/2020

R45, but they fit better in my snack purse.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4606/29/2020

This is a good time to pick up a box of Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines and bake a cake. Buy an extra can of frosting, too.

You can never have too much frosting or too much chocolate.

Or too much CA$H !

Have fun, future bakers of America !

by How many of you have had it.reply 4706/29/2020

Canned frosting is grotesque. Just make your own buttercream lazy fucks-it only has 3 fucking ingredients.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4806/29/2020

Does Costco doing away with these cakes have anything to do with the virus?

I've never had one but they look good. Still, I live alone. What on earth would I do with such a huge cake. It would be stale or moldy as hell by the the time I even got to the 4th piece. I can't eat a lot of sweets at once. I get sick to my stomach. I doubt they would freeze well. The frosting would be messed up.

by How many of you have had it.reply 4906/29/2020

Please, R49, tell us all about your life. Please.

by How many of you have had it.reply 5006/29/2020

I, too, desperately need to know what keeps r49 so occupied that he had cannot block out time for cake?! And cake freezes fine!

It's SHEET cake for God's sake.

by How many of you have had it.reply 5106/29/2020

I hate that I'm always attracted to cunts with R50's attitude.

by How many of you have had it.reply 5206/29/2020

Call me, R52. You'll sense my eyes rolling with every word you say.

by How many of you have had it.reply 5306/29/2020

[quote]Does Costco doing away with these cakes have anything to do with the virus?

It's only been mentioned five or six times-- there is NO MARKET for these cakes because few people are hosting large gatherings during the pandemic. OK?

by How many of you have had it.reply 5406/29/2020

This will go to 600

The food ones always do

by How many of you have had it.reply 5506/29/2020

R55 knew this was coming and has stocked her garage deep freeze with all of the Costco sheetcakes in a 3 county area.

by How many of you have had it.reply 5606/29/2020

How dare they make me wear a mask, take away my sheet cake.. I’m American, I have rights!

by How many of you have had it.reply 5706/29/2020

[quote] Not in Canada! Fat bitches rejoice!

Coincidentally Costco has them on display right next to their pot dispensary.

by How many of you have had it.reply 5806/29/2020

I am a food snob who makes and sells high-end cakes. (A two-layer, 8" cake goes for $50-$75 -And I do a couple that top $100.) Organic ingredients aren't cheap...

When people can't afford my cakes I send them to Costco. Those sheet cakes are actually decent -way beyond the quality of any grocery store and most local bakeries. Butter is involved. And the price can't be beat. I hope Costco is eventually able to bring them back.

by How many of you have had it.reply 5906/29/2020

[quote](A two-layer, 8" cake goes for $50-$75 -And I do a couple that top $100.)

Geez, at those prices, I hope you throw in sex.

by How many of you have had it.reply 6006/29/2020

Is it real butter cream?

by How many of you have had it.reply 6106/29/2020

R59, are you in NYC and are you open? I would buy. I love high quality pastries.

by How many of you have had it.reply 6206/29/2020

This one time at band camp... when I cooked for a mission in buttfuck Illinois, I’d receive messed up sheetcakes (they slid or were lopsided - always sweaty) that I’d dump into a clear plastic container. Using an ice cream scoop, I could give everyone enough sugar and lard to keep even the heavy heroin users happy.

by How many of you have had it.reply 6306/29/2020

[quote]buttfuck Illinois,

I just looked on goo gle maps. I couldn't find this. Are you sure you didn't mean Asslick, Indiana?

by How many of you have had it.reply 6406/29/2020

Why discontinue cakes? I would assume that Costcrap customers buy tons of those fatty cakes.

by How many of you have had it.reply 6506/29/2020

We are returning to hermetically sealed single serving foods.

You can short stock in any bufet-style restaurant holding company. You will not serve yourself at any buffet. That goes for salad bars, too so twice around the garden one last time.

by How many of you have had it.reply 6606/29/2020

[quote]It's only been mentioned five or six times-- there is NO MARKET for these cakes because few people are hosting large gatherings during the pandemic. OK?

Girl, I intend to eat that whole cake by MYSELF! That's why it doesn't make any sense to discontinue these cakes. Lots of people also buy the cakes for just 2 or 3 people. Not everybody buying one is having a large gathering.

And no, I'm not fat. I just like to treat myself every once in awhile. What else do I have to enjoy right now except food?

by How many of you have had it.reply 6706/29/2020

Then buy more than one smaller cake. They're only discontinuing the HUGE sheet cakes.

by How many of you have had it.reply 6806/29/2020

[Quote]This one time at band camp... when I cooked for a mission in buttfuck Illinois,

Excuse me, Miss. are you the Mormon mademoiselle who tasted Dame Julie's snatch cak?

by How many of you have had it.reply 6906/29/2020

All i want is sheet cake now with some ice cream on top. Maybe mint chocolate chip. I've read every post like salivating,

by How many of you have had it.reply 7006/29/2020

The fatties still have walmart.

Everyday is a sad day when you’re fat.

by How many of you have had it.reply 7406/29/2020

[quote] Is it real butter cream?

R61, I'd say no. I used to live near a nice bakery in San Francisco. My favorite thing to eat there was a layered cake with buttercream between the layers. The mouthfeel (sorry) of that buttercream was amazing, it did feel like cold butter in your mouth.

The Costco "buttercream" frosting is not like what I described. The Costco "buttercream" frosting is similar to the Duncan Hines frosting in the plastic tub (which I like).

by How many of you have had it.reply 7506/29/2020

What if you are thin, binge a sheet cake, and then work out obsessively? You don't have to necessarily be a fattie to eat like one.

by How many of you have had it.reply 7606/29/2020

The Costco sheet cakes (chocolate or white) were office party staples at my old job. My friends and family would not bring / serve the Costco sheet cakes at any get-together.

I agree with the poster(s) above that the working from home and prohibitions against large get-togethers has affected sheet cake sales.

Costco pizza ... That was another office party staple at my old job. Not sure why people like that "combo" pizza with the fucking green bell peppers and white onions.

by How many of you have had it.reply 7706/29/2020

Speaking of pizza I would put a whole pizza on top of the cake. It’s great for breakfast.

by How many of you have had it.reply 7806/29/2020

All Reddit reports indicate that the smaller cakes have a different frosting and taste different ... they are not just the larger cakes made into a smaller form ...

by How many of you have had it.reply 7906/30/2020

My mother would say, "Save room for the birthday cake." Like anyone ever DOES NOT have room for birthday cake

I can't eat dessert anymore when I eat out. And I don't stuff my face. Can stomachs shrink?

by How many of you have had it.reply 81Last Thursday at 2:27 PM

I love me some cake but I haven’t had any since early March. Quit sugar around then.
