The show honestly has not been funny in over 15 years.

The only episodes I ever watched were Rainforest, Trapper Keeper, Cartman and that North American Marlon Brando Look Alike (you know the acronym) episode, Succubus, Mega Barbara Streisand, and a few others.

The rest of the episodes are nothing but shit.

The two best seasons were season 5 and season 8.

A couple of episodes are hilarious to me, but for the most part it is overrated try hard humor.

The early episodes and the movie were great fun. They lost me with that Man Bear Pig episode where they basically said Al Gore made up climate change to get attention for himself. It’s not just that they’re wrong on this issue, they’re so fucking smug about it.

If you really want a good laugh, check out the avclub reviews of South Park the past couple of seasons. They might as well just stop covering the show, because the people who write there are more interested in showing off their SJW credentials than paying attention to the episode. Personally, when I find an episode only mildly (or even less) amusing, I think of the SJWs, Repuglicans, or Christian types that are feeling their panties twist and snowflakes melting. The rest, is easy!

I used to love the show. It used to be "appointment TV" and "water-cooler TV" for me and many friends.

Since 2016 at least, it's gone way down-hill, with far more misses than hits. It still has moments, but they're few and far between. I watch still, but there have been some episodes where the entire thing was tedious unfunny crap, and others where there were only a few good bits, barely making it worth sitting through.

I will say the "Scooter" halloween episode was brilliant, a couple of years ago. But again, that kind of episode was hilarious in the moment (because anyone in a big or even medium-sized city was LIVING that nonsense with scooters suddenly showing up all over), but it'll be completely dated by now, and nobody will 'get it' in a few years.

Remember, Matt & Trey did that sit-com "That's My Bush!" back in 2000... which was practically a love-letter to the guy.
