Why hasn't South Park been cancelled yet?
It is the single most RACIST, SEXIST, HOMOPHOBIC, XENOPHOBIC, TRANSPHOBIC, and every other possible PHOBIC you could ever name.
It is a hateful show that incites bigotry.
And calling it "comedy" does nothing to disguise the fact that the show is founded on hate.

It WAS funny. That was years ago. Now it isn’t even watchable.
It won’t be cancelled because it was already targeted by the right. The left has been much more successful than the right ever has been about censorship, but the left doesn’t want to be “seen” as such. It won’t go after things that the right already tried to cancel.

Wow, you can just tell that Matt Stone and Trey Parker post here.
I have never seen anyone more defensive and more butt hurt about criticism, than R4, R17, R20, and R22.
Plus the numerous other posts showing support for this crappy show.
Trust me, the average Datalounger couldn't give two fucks about South Park and its Libertarian Right Wing Cunt positions, so you know that Matt and Trey are the ones who are posting.

The libertarian right wing cunt stuff and their takes on current events are never funny, and that's all they've done for 10+ years. South Park was great when they did shows about childhood (Awesomo, Casa Bonita, etc) and popular culture (Ben Affleck, Paris Hilton and so on).

[R3] People often say that, but how does that make sense? If someone is racist against all races, are they no longer racist? I don't get how because they purposefully say derogatory things about many different groups of people that they are somehow immune to being called out. It also seems that whenever something is said as part of comedy it's OK. A comedian can say the n word or f word and as long as they make a "joke" out of it people will defend it to death. I suppose if Roseanne included something about eating bananas in her ape comment she'd have stayed put.

For me South Park is not only the show we want, but the kind of show we need in a healthy sociaty. If we can't laugh about ourselves, our politicians, our celebrities from all different outcomes, races, religions, etc, it's a symtom. The need of cancel a free spirit comedy show comes always from bigotry and repression. First is this and next is burning books. It’s no longer funny. It’s as irrelevant and dated as The Simpsons. I enjoyed probably the first two seasons. Then everything became a Right-wing wankfest and pulled straight from the headlines. “The Nannies” episode where Cartman psychologically breaks the proper English nannies because he refuses to play by their “time out” rules - and they bring in Caesar Milan, the Dog Whisperer, to train him epitomizes the DL view of child rearing. I used to love the show. It used to be "appointment TV" and "water-cooler TV" for me and many friends.
Since 2016 at least, it's gone way down-hill, with far more misses than hits. It still has moments, but they're few and far between. I watch still, but there have been some episodes where the entire thing was tedious unfunny crap, and others where there were only a few good bits, barely making it worth sitting through.
I will say the "Scooter" halloween episode was brilliant, a couple of years ago. But again, that kind of episode was hilarious in the moment (because anyone in a big or even medium-sized city was LIVING that nonsense with scooters suddenly showing up all over), but it'll be completely dated by now, and nobody will 'get it' in a few years.

South Park caves in a lot. They won't attack any Muslim or black group with the same way they attack whites, Asians and Hispanics or Catholics, Jews or Scientologists and Mormons.
You'd never hear Cartman say anything bad about African Americans but he'll spew garbage about Jews, gays, and a host of others.
As long as they keep to those safe groups they'll be fine.

R96, you need to do your research. One of their episodes specifically centered around Mohammad and was censored after they were threatened.
"Prior to the broadcast of "201", the radical Muslim organization Revolution Muslim posted a warning on their website that Parker and Stone risked being murdered for their depiction of Muhammad. Comedy Central modified Parker and Stone's version of the episode, obscuring all images and bleeping all references to Muhammad—to the effect of disruptively obscuring the entire two-minute moral conclusion of the story."

South Park hides its bigotry very stealthily.
It uses the "Cartman" character to say outrageous, hateful, and bigoted things, under the disguise of being a "little kid who doesn't know any better."
The problem is, PARKER AND STONE know better. In fact, they know exactly what they're doing.
They're using hate speech as "comedy," disguised by little children cartoon characters.
