A question of class

Why did the peasants on the Titanic think they had a right to board a lifeboat when they were paying next to nothing compared to the wealthy patrons? Mother always said, what you pay for is what you get!!!

Can you imagine all the First Class Karens?

by Anonymousreply 2June 21, 2020 7:05 PM

Don't worry, OP, they locked the peasants in steerage as the ship sank.

by Anonymousreply 3June 21, 2020 7:08 PM

You just know if OP had been onboard he would have spent most of the crossing "accidentally getting lost" on the lower decks as he desperately foraged for trade.

by Anonymousreply 4June 21, 2020 7:09 PM

OP, $15 to $40 may have been "next to nothing" to the upper class, but to the passengers at steerage, many of whom were travelling with their spouses and children, that was their whole life-savings.

by Anonymousreply 5June 21, 2020 7:12 PM

OP is a sick sad fuck who has no life.

by Anonymousreply 6June 21, 2020 7:14 PM

Karens are not upper class ocean liner passengers. Sheeesh.

R7 too true

by Anonymousreply 9June 21, 2020 7:28 PM

Why was the DiCaprio character in the movie wandering around in first class all the time when was traveling steerage?

by Anonymousreply 10June 21, 2020 7:53 PM

R10 because Cameron is an idiot. Rose and Jack would never have crossed paths in real life. Especially onboard an ocean liner with clearly defined areas for different classes. His stench would’ve been too much to bear. A very trashy movie playing to the cheap seats.

R2- In 1912 they were NOT First Class Karens they were First Class VICTORIAS.

R11 yes like the witless idiots in this thread and those threads beating Karen meme to death.
