WOW - watch
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey cries at George Floyd's casket
by Anonymous | reply 143 | June 11, 2020 12:30 AM |
He laid it on a little too thick. Way over the top and embarrassing.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 5, 2020 11:57 PM |
And he did it long enough to make sure every network could grab an angle.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 5, 2020 11:57 PM |
Cringe..
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 5, 2020 11:59 PM |
so damn fake
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 6, 2020 12:03 AM |
MARY!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 6, 2020 12:05 AM |
As Howard Stern said, most white liberals are fucking hypocrites, people like this are first to move out of a neighborhood when a black family move it. What a fake.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 6, 2020 12:06 AM |
Why do I know he never even did that at his mother's casket?
Send in the WOKE white clowns.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 6, 2020 12:15 AM |
Frey is Jewish
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 6, 2020 12:17 AM |
He's a democrat?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 6, 2020 12:17 AM |
He was likely letting out all the emotions he's had to deal with since this happened
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 6, 2020 12:18 AM |
r13 yes he was probably sad for himself and what he had to go through
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 6, 2020 12:22 AM |
MARY!!!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 6, 2020 12:28 AM |
Leave the acting to your lookalike Patrick Dempsey.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 6, 2020 12:31 AM |
fuck off deplorables
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 6, 2020 12:34 AM |
I would cry too. That murder was so sad and must have left many people feeling guilty. It was just awful.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 6, 2020 12:36 AM |
Maybe fake. Don’t know. I did cry reading this.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 6, 2020 12:39 AM |
That wasn't a cry, that was a sob.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 6, 2020 12:42 AM |
Frey is a very sweet, emotional dude. I love him
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 6, 2020 12:43 AM |
How nice for George Floyd. How nice for Mayor Frey. How nice for everyone.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 6, 2020 12:46 AM |
He's crying because he won't be like Mayor Pete.
The crazy city council will defund the police, and then the whole city will become a wasteland. Can't run for higher office when crime goes up 3,000% and the economy disappears. He should resign now, and at least he could be some kind of CNN host.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 6, 2020 1:58 AM |
It looks like a scene out of a bad soap opera.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 6, 2020 2:24 AM |
Frey is incredibly hot. He’s in WAY over his head. Makes me love him more.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 6, 2020 2:28 AM |
I could have blown that scene right out the water and had everyone in tears for hours. Oh wait, no Oscar nomination...…..?!
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 6, 2020 2:28 AM |
I object to 'boo-di-loo-hoo' of all sorts, especially done in public. I don't care if it's sincere or not.
I concur with the Vulcans that displays of emotional outbursts are in very bad taste.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 6, 2020 2:30 AM |
The crows feet make him even hotter. I know he has a gf but I think he spent some time with dick
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 6, 2020 2:34 AM |
Rivals Rosalind Russell in "Mourning Becomes Electra" for MOST ACTING in a single scene or role.....
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 6, 2020 2:35 AM |
He has the most fantastic wavy hair.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 6, 2020 2:39 AM |
I'd bet he lives in an all white gated community. Total fucking hypocrite.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 6, 2020 2:44 AM |
Some people always cry at funerals. I cry at funerals and weddings. Weddings are almost more sad.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 6, 2020 2:46 AM |
Just because you cold hearted freaks have no feelings, don't assume he is the same.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 6, 2020 2:48 AM |
It's sad that be died, but let's face it, it's not like he was Princess Diana or JFK Jr. Certainly nothing to cry about unless you knew him personally.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 6, 2020 2:52 AM |
[quote]Just because you cold hearted freaks have no feelings, don't assume he is the same.
Oh, I have feelings, R34. I just avoid putting them on public display.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 6, 2020 2:58 AM |
R36 Beth Jarrett said the same thing
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 6, 2020 3:00 AM |
Hmm, R37. Google says that's a character from 'Ordinary People' (1980). I steered clear of that film, since its subject matter seemed to typify entirely too much of the kind of drama taking place in my own family at the time, the effects of which have been lasting.
Weeping/histrionics involuntarily activate coldness and un-sympathy in me, which causes me to have to try to gauge whether my innate response is unjustified, that I should make some effort to overcome it. I find such situations distasteful and prefer to avoid them.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 6, 2020 3:09 AM |
R39 and that is EXACTLY what Beth Jarrett said in Ordinary People
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 6, 2020 3:12 AM |
I don't believe you. Link it, R40.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 6, 2020 3:23 AM |
Elegant silhouette though.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 6, 2020 4:30 AM |
The martyrdom and lionization of career criminal George Floyd is absolutely ridiculous. Yes, his death was tragic and the cops responsible should be punished, but they to act as though this guy was some saint is pathetic. The guy was a thug, had been convicted of assault, robbery, theft and drug charges. He was not a good person, period.
I’m a black millennial male and I’m sick of black victimhood. The black community is all up in arms whenever a cop kills a black people but it’s crickets whenever someone points out that black men killing other black men is the real threat. I know this isn’t a popular opinion and I’ll probably be labeled a troll but I don’t give a shit. Sick of this shit.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 6, 2020 4:41 AM |
You can bet this will be included in his campaign ad when he runs for reelection.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 6, 2020 4:51 AM |
We need more sensitive people like him in leadership positions.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 6, 2020 4:51 AM |
Less religion in politics. Frey is laughable in those pictures.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 6, 2020 4:56 AM |
All these protesters are either monkey see monkey do types with nothing else to occupy their time at the moment or just downright losers, not to mention all the looting criminals. While this guy didn't deserve to be killed, that doesn't change the fact that he was a low life criminal and no great loss except to his family and friends!
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 6, 2020 5:01 AM |
R46, I pray for your Soul.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 6, 2020 6:13 AM |
Frey is a Jew. To see him bowing to these fanatics is offensive and ridiculous
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 6, 2020 6:17 AM |
He is a nice dude, but lacks the commandeering presence and demeanor needed in a time of crisis. He totally seemed overwhelmed in the wake of the George Floyd tragedy. Governor Walz was late, but he eventually rose to the occasion. Frey remains feckless
by Anonymous | reply 55 | June 6, 2020 7:20 AM |
He seems like a good guy. I know nothing of MN politics, so I won't weight in there. But it was a bit too much. I live in LA. On a street that was looted. On the street. Eh, move on. But I have a more dry personality.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | June 6, 2020 10:55 AM |
What an attention hungry drama queen he seems to be!
by Anonymous | reply 57 | June 6, 2020 12:06 PM |
That Mayor needs a holiday away from this. He's losing his composure and sense of context.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 6, 2020 12:17 PM |
What a mess he is.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | June 6, 2020 12:18 PM |
It is too bad I wanted to like him but this was a phony spectacle.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | June 6, 2020 12:19 PM |
A little bit more composure is needed at this moment, at least in public. We all have to be on our best behavior.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | June 6, 2020 12:27 PM |
We need less performers like him in leadership positions.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | June 6, 2020 12:28 PM |
And of course Trump ridiculed him for it.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | June 6, 2020 12:29 PM |
I bet she cries during sex.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | June 6, 2020 12:32 PM |
A human being, would cry.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | June 6, 2020 12:32 PM |
She's a Jewish-American Justin Trudeau.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | June 6, 2020 12:33 PM |
It’s a bit ridiculous to be losing your shit and outright bawling in public over some random dude you knew nothing about.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | June 6, 2020 12:45 PM |
"And of course Trump ridiculed him for it. "
Bunkerbitch's ridicule doesn't carry much weight these days. Whaaaa!!
by Anonymous | reply 68 | June 6, 2020 12:46 PM |
He's exhausted. Someone upthread wrote that Frey is in over his head. His outburst probably had less to do with George Floyd and more to do with his own fragile emotional state.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | June 6, 2020 1:25 PM |
Maryapolis, Hateasota.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | June 6, 2020 1:31 PM |
[quote]His outburst probably had less to do with George Floyd and more to do with his own fragile emotional state.
Good Lord. Why is every Millennial so fucking fragile?
by Anonymous | reply 71 | June 6, 2020 1:32 PM |
A black Ukrainian has spoken in this thread to the delight of all.
George Floyd didn't die,he was lynched on the street in full view of traumatized citizens whose tax dollars pay for state sanctioned terrorism against black citizens.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | June 6, 2020 2:05 PM |
And where's Melvin Carter's footage at the casket?
by Anonymous | reply 73 | June 6, 2020 2:35 PM |
R71 "every Millenial"? That's a broad statement. Let me add one of my own: Why is every boomer so mean-spirited and hostile to the young 'uns?
by Anonymous | reply 74 | June 6, 2020 2:36 PM |
R74, I don’t know. I’m an X’er.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | June 6, 2020 2:39 PM |
He was stressed out and suffering from lack of sleep. I’m sure he was sad but that display was more about being overcome due to stress.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | June 6, 2020 2:50 PM |
The cop(s) that murdered him should go to prison for 20 years + but George Floyd was NO angel. He was convicted of armed robbery in 2009.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | June 6, 2020 2:57 PM |
It's about the rule of law, it's not about being an angel.
2009 was 11 fucking years ago.
Maybe in your country it is acceptable for police to lynch a suspect on the street in full view of other citizens but in this country, if you get charged with a crime, you get a trial by jury and if you're convicted you serve time.
What was Breyonna Taylor's crime?
Dating a bad boy?
If dating a bad boy was a crime all of datalounge would be under the jail.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | June 6, 2020 3:06 PM |
[quote]She's a Jewish-American Justin Trudeau.
My idea of heaven.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | June 6, 2020 3:16 PM |
a double homicide suspect is captured and detained without violence during all this (and by suspect I mean they know this is the guy who killed those two people).
Floyd is suspected of passing a phony bill and gets stomped out in the street?
by Anonymous | reply 80 | June 6, 2020 3:18 PM |
If you have to say “I’m a black millennial “ is because you aren’t one.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | June 6, 2020 3:25 PM |
I didn't watch until the end, but did he rip his hair out from the roots or pound his chest or fall to his knees (once he got up) and reach out a trembling hand towards the coffin, wailing, "noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"?
I would have liked to have seen that.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | June 6, 2020 3:31 PM |
^^^ but after having written all that, I do think he seems sincere in general and a good egg.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | June 6, 2020 3:33 PM |
[quote]What an attention hungry drama queen he seems to be!
Indeed! Funerals require dignified grieving.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | June 6, 2020 3:33 PM |
He’s a good guy. People don’t seem used to seeing a good person anymore. Says a lot about this Country.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | June 6, 2020 3:34 PM |
He's a cutie, but he's not a very good actor. I could see starring him in an upcoming Ryan Murphy production. He could be the next Cody Fern.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | June 6, 2020 3:47 PM |
No I really am a black millennial, I just refuse to subscribe to the narrative of black victimhood. George Floyd was murdered and the cop who murdered him and those officers who tacitly endorsed it by doing nothing will be severely punished. But I also reject the notion that George Floyd was a hero, or a martyr, or someone worth worshipping as some pillar of upstanding citizenry when in fact he was a violent criminal. He contributed nothing to society and to mourn his death is ridiculous. I also don’t buy that there is a widespread police agenda to hunt down and murder black men in America as the media would like us to believe.
Myself and many other black men who stay out of trouble and don’t look or act like gang bangers have had virtually no run ins with the law. I say virtually because I was arrested in college after a bar fight but only because the “victim” (who actually attacked me first was bleeding and got to the cops before I did). The case was weak and the “victim” never even showed up to court. That was my only experience with the law. I resent this idea that’s being pushed by the MSM that EVERY single black man has the same experience with the police. It isn’t true or rooted in reality at all. I am not a victim.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | June 6, 2020 4:18 PM |
You aren’t black. We can see your posting history
by Anonymous | reply 88 | June 6, 2020 4:20 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 91 | June 6, 2020 4:45 PM |
R87 thanks for the post.
I find it amusing (and by that I mean disgusted) how the non people of color on this thread are going to lecture a black man on how he should feel or even hint at being self-loathing. Is this what’s known as “whitesplaining”?
by Anonymous | reply 92 | June 6, 2020 4:46 PM |
I’m black and telling you we traded you out of The race for Travis Kelce
by Anonymous | reply 93 | June 6, 2020 5:06 PM |
While Floyd’s Minneapolis funeral was rather subdued and short, Black people are known for every emotional and prolonged funerals. It is not uncommon for black people to faint, Wail, and rock caskets at funerals. And I am not only talking about family members

Shocked at how many people find him good looking. I guess it's the same people who consider Alex Moffat from SNL good looking. AWG at best. And I'm not the "Jews Age Badly" troll.

R55, I don’t think you know what commandeering means.
(Unless he stole the casket.)
by Anonymous | reply 103 | June 6, 2020 6:55 PM |
Did he try to crawl in the casket with him?

R90 is a black millennial Ukrainian.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | June 6, 2020 7:28 PM |
r87 is a black millennial Ukrainian.
Not r90.
by Anonymous | reply 106 | June 6, 2020 7:29 PM |
Commandeering is the word. He lacks it. He failed to take control Of the situation early on, or thereafter. He has been feckless, impotent, Lacking the civilian or military presence necessary in this national crisis started in his City. Notice he is almost absent in the media conscience. Other cities would have their mayor all over the place taking charge. He failed to step in early and commandeer the situation
by Anonymous | reply 107 | June 6, 2020 7:59 PM |
Crack down? ?? In this country the right to protest is just that, a right.
It is different in your part of the world.
by Anonymous | reply 108 | June 6, 2020 8:03 PM |
George Floyd was a hoodlum, no great loss to put it mildly!
by Anonymous | reply 109 | June 6, 2020 8:05 PM |
He’s a sweet spirit, but not capable of dealing with this situation
by Anonymous | reply 110 | June 6, 2020 8:07 PM |
You're not a victim.
How "nice" for you.
Being stomped out in the street for 10 minutes qualifies Mr. Floyd as a murder victim.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | June 6, 2020 8:13 PM |
Wrong, r107.
Commandeer is a verb. You mean a “commanding” presence.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | June 6, 2020 8:23 PM |
I believe he was elected in 2018 on a platform of police reform and clearly he hasn’t been able to do that yet. Cops are crazy and dangerous , however, when they’re threatened with reform -ask the families of George Moscone and Harvey Milk.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | June 6, 2020 8:29 PM |
The Raeford funeral right now is more textbook black funeral
by Anonymous | reply 114 | June 6, 2020 8:36 PM |

The black mayor of St. Paul is much more impressive. Frey seems so over his head.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | June 7, 2020 9:50 PM |

Well he is pretty short. When I watched the video I initially thought that was some young student addressing the mayor. Then I realized it WAS the mayor.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | June 7, 2020 10:06 PM |
Doesn’t look like he can handle things when The Heat Is On.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | June 7, 2020 10:31 PM |
Wow, this AWG got cancelled quickly. Last week he was a hero and many on DL wanted to fuck him, now he's being booed by his constituents and accused of overacting at funerals.

Give it up on the obscure Nancy Reagan reference. It’s played out, dude.
by Anonymous | reply 131 | June 9, 2020 1:48 PM |
It is cringey, yet endearing. However, I don't believe it is fake and more of an emotional response to everything - not just Floyd himself. Frey is very cute with great hair (but I am partial to Jewish, Italian and Greek men😘)
by Anonymous | reply 132 | June 9, 2020 2:26 PM |
He looked good in his grey t-shirt this weekend. He's economy sized, slim and not very tall.

R87 The Jews call that Mesirah- and it's basic betrayal , and not only to your race. No American should want to see another American killed in that manner- whether they are saints or sinners. If you don't protect his rights than your rights are in danger. But sit down and get to know your history first. I have never been stopped by the police. I am an attorney. And in court you are only Uncle Tom or a field hand in the eyes of the law. Just so you could have that opinion a black person died for you. Just so you could think you were equal a black person died for you. You are either master or slave. You can't be both. Either you want to be free or you have illusions of grandeur.
