what sport?

by Anonymousreply 1May 30, 2020 8:24 PM

Is there anybody on the planet who needs to be told?

Is there anybody on the planet who cares?

It's always good to hear that people come out. Young gays need to know it is always good to be out, even when personal situations make it difficult. Those situations are the perversion, not being gay.

The tired archness here reflect the reflexes of the lost. It's always been that way.

They're the ones who don't matter - because they don't really want to.

by Anonymousreply 7May 30, 2020 8:37 PM

His skating partner is Gabriella Papadakis, a French Greek.. Her father is from Crete.

by Anonymousreply 8May 30, 2020 8:38 PM

Welcome to the team Guillaume! I'd happily give you a few inches.

by Anonymousreply 9May 30, 2020 8:44 PM

There is no reason to 'come out.' One lives one's life as one feels comfortable. There is no reason to say 'I love men emotionally and sexually.' and then wear it like a badge any further than heterosexuals do. You can date men and you can marry one. Using a megaphone makes it seem like someone is revealing a scarlet letter.

by Anonymousreply 10May 30, 2020 9:14 PM

R10 I'd love to live in your perfect world.

by Anonymousreply 11May 30, 2020 9:49 PM

Lets see the hairy hole!

by Anonymousreply 12May 30, 2020 9:54 PM

An ice dancer is gay?

Shocked, I tell...sorry, I can't finish that. There isn't enough snark and sarcasm on the planet to finish this.

by Anonymousreply 13May 30, 2020 10:11 PM

He really is a stunningly accomplished skater. His routines with Papadakis are a thing to behold.

by Anonymousreply 14May 30, 2020 10:53 PM

His lips get a gold too. And a silver for his hair.

by Anonymousreply 15May 30, 2020 11:07 PM

A bit on the skinny side but an astonishing talent. I wish he had become a ballet dancer instead of a skater. A little skating goes a long way.

by Anonymousreply 16May 31, 2020 3:06 AM

I'm sure he's making much more money as a skater than he ever could as a ballet dancer.

by Anonymousreply 17May 31, 2020 12:42 PM

Quelle surprise!

The sky is not blue, it's lavender.

by Anonymousreply 19May 31, 2020 12:55 PM

Is his partner a MTF?

by Anonymousreply 20May 31, 2020 2:52 PM

No, R20, that's a particularly unfortunate picture of her. This confession reminds me of one of my favorite DL replies of the past:

Under the heading: Kid outed after joining gay chorus group at college. OP noted "Taylor McCormick initially planned on coming out to his parents in a letter." The reply:

This would have been the most unnecessary letter since the "P" in pneumonia.

by Anonymousreply 21May 31, 2020 3:55 PM

Nudes?

by Anonymousreply 22May 31, 2020 3:59 PM

Ahhh, good old DL. Finding reasons to shit on some accomplished young man because he’s come out, too skinny, too flaming, too pretty, too whatever.

Sheesh, at least he isn’t that bitch Johnny Weir.

by Anonymousreply 23May 31, 2020 4:07 PM

He's undeniably fine.

by Anonymousreply 24May 31, 2020 9:37 PM

No, fellas, he’s right.

by Anonymousreply 25May 31, 2020 10:55 PM

You’re damn right he is.

by Anonymousreply 26May 31, 2020 10:57 PM

Mother agrees

by Anonymousreply 27June 1, 2020 3:02 AM

Only a silver medal.

Suddenly, I don't care

by Anonymousreply 28June 1, 2020 3:35 AM

His eyebrows came out 5 years before he did

by Anonymousreply 29June 1, 2020 11:43 PM

It's been an open secret for several years that he is gay, yes.

But it's still good that he officially came out and recognized his boyfriend.

Other than Eric Radford, Adam Rippon & Johnny Weir, there still aren't many openly-gay skaters.

by Anonymousreply 30June 5, 2020 4:21 AM

r30 Well who's gay and isn't open?

by Anonymousreply 31June 5, 2020 4:24 AM

Anyone can tell this girl is a bottom.

by Anonymousreply 32June 5, 2020 4:27 AM

Surprisingly, a lot of the male ice dancers are straight and have dated or are dating their partners.

Evan Bates, Zach Donahue, Nikita Katsalopov, to name a few.

by Anonymousreply 33June 5, 2020 4:29 AM

I think that there's still need for people to come out, specially masculine gay/bi guys, but come on, there are certain people in certain lines of work who really don't need to.

by Anonymousreply 34June 5, 2020 4:35 AM

[quote] Surprisingly, a lot of the male ice dancers are straight a

Don't know about ice skaters, but dancers (ballet) I know a lot about because I dated a so-called bisexual ballet dancer of a major company. Most are gay and the few who date women are bisexual and date women mostly to ward off the stigma, that has been my experience and we've dated for 4 years and I've met a lot of them. Sorry, no real straight there and something tells me ice skating is the same.
