She was great in Loving. Her Oscar nomination was a bit of a surprise but a very deserving one. She would have made a great winner though it was one of those rare years when all the nominees in the best actress line-up were good (Streep, Stone) to great (Huppert, Negga, Porter).

Preacher was such a great, underrated show. She was the breakout star of it. At least to me.

She has a small part in [italic]World War Z[/italic], but she's fine in it. Mostly I've seen her on the Agents of Shield show, on which she had a sad storyline. Good work.

I went to a screening of Passing last night. She’s excellent in it.

I have absolutely adored Ruth since I saw her role as Tulip O'Hare in Preacher. I also ran into her once while staying at Petite Ermitage in WeHo a few years ago...she was incredibly friendly and down to earth.

So good in Preacher.

She got noticed in the UK for playing Shirley Bassey. Does anyone remember but I think she won a BAFTA for that, although the film was apparently not great.

R37, she plays a VERY high spirited character in Passing. Sort of a Blanche DuBois type. Very chatty and animated but holding down pain.

Best part of Ad Astra even though she was on screen for ten minutes.

She’s very pretty. Reminds me of Marion Cotilliard. Similar features.

I saw her Hamlet at the Gate Theatre in Dublin. The rest of the production was pretty ordinary, but she was incredible and I went into it not very keen on the cross-gender casting.

At the screening last night Tessa Thompson said “And next year go see Ruth in MACBETH!” Which was sweet of her but she said it in a theater so she just unwittingly cursed THAT production.
