SJW Declare: Jackie Kennedy was a Racist!

Why?

[quote] from what i’ve heard, she’s a racist who didn’t credit her wedding dress designer bc she was black

300 pages of idiots going off on her.

She’s fucking dead.

by Anonymousreply 2May 24, 2020 5:44 AM

Twitter is so fucking exhausting.

A cesspool of narcissists.

by Anonymousreply 3May 24, 2020 5:45 AM

Oh, JFK was also a racist according to them.

by Anonymousreply 4May 24, 2020 5:46 AM

Why the fuck would OP make a thread about some random Beyawnce woke fans think on twitter????

by Anonymousreply 5May 24, 2020 5:53 AM

Don't they have any sympathy for a woman who was on assistance?

by Anonymousreply 6May 24, 2020 5:57 AM

Everyone is a "racist" against everyone. We are alarmed by folks that are not "like us" but we Americans are making strides in this area.

R5 this is a troll thread. The racists keep getting their threads greyed out. Swamping the site with racist sjw threads is an over saturation technique used by trolls. You start reacting negatively to people calling actual racists racist because you are swamped by racist talk and threads.

Jackie's wedding dress was ugly. So was Jackie. Her face could have cracked a mirror. And her hair was a mess

by Anonymousreply 12May 24, 2020 6:12 AM

Why are we cancelling dead people? As if they have any fuck's left to give or anything left to lose.

by Anonymousreply 14May 24, 2020 6:20 AM

It’s not just some random Beyonce fan. These idiots literally got this topic trending on social media. Unfortunately people believe what they read on social media. We got a nutcase President out of it. It’s interesting, and sometimes important, to know what’s being spread around.

by Anonymousreply 15May 24, 2020 6:27 AM

[quote] Why are we cancelling dead people?

It doesn’t matter that they’re dead. What matters is that they’re famous, and white. Black victimization is a major industry, and it needs fuel.

R15 things with 1000 tweets trend on twitter nowadays. No one takes it seriously.

by Anonymousreply 17May 24, 2020 6:31 AM

Yeah twitter outrage can be annoying but Jackie was a materialistic and shockingly self absorbed cunt. Listen to the tapes where she trashes everyone from deGaulle to MLK . Like this money grubber had any moral authority on anyone else. Sure, her clothes were chic, but individuals of her class were almost universally well dressed at that time.

by Anonymousreply 18May 24, 2020 6:38 AM

Virtually every prominent white person in US history was a racist by today's extremist standards.

by Anonymousreply 19May 24, 2020 6:46 AM

OP, you're always telling us that some dumb shit is cancelling someone else on Black Twitter--as if we all cared about what Black Twitter.

by Anonymousreply 20May 24, 2020 6:46 AM

[quote] from what i’ve heard, she’s a racist who didn’t credit her wedding dress designer bc she was black

I’ve never heard this, anyone else?

by Anonymousreply 21May 24, 2020 7:11 AM

since NO ONE seems to want to name her:

“ Ann Cole Lowe (December 14, 1898 – February 25, 1981) was an American fashion designer and the first African American to become a noted fashion designer.[1] Lowe's one-of-a-kind designs were a favorite among high society matrons from the 1920s to the 1960s. She was best known for designing the ivory silk taffeta wedding dress worn by Jacqueline Bouvier when she married John F. Kennedy in 1953.”

I had not heard of her before, so I guess those indignant people had a point. But instead of pointing fingers and tearing someone down, they could have posted a blurb about Ann Lowe.

Their point wasn’t to highlight Lowe’s success: it was to chide a long-dead rich whitey.

by Anonymousreply 25May 24, 2020 9:10 AM

Wouldn't the fact that 1950's Jackie chose to wear a dress designed by a black designer on the "most important day of her life" point to her NOT being racist?

by Anonymousreply 26May 24, 2020 9:19 AM

"SJW" is Neo-Nazi diction that means "Nigger lover". No sane, decent person is against social justice or human equity under the law.

Similarly, "Karen" is a misogynist slur that means "Cunt" and really refers to any woman who has the audacity to demand fair treatment.

"Elite", used as a noun, is another pejorative term to denigrate anyone with education, experience, power, money or luck. The implication made with is that the only good and trustworthy people are uneducated, incompetent, victims (of the "Elite"), broke and being denied what they're entitled to.

These are intentionally divisive terms used to stoke bigotries and they can work subconsciously so that people don't realize their views against these enemies of the GOP are being manipulated.

by Anonymousreply 29May 24, 2020 9:35 AM

R29 The increasingly crazy "standards" are hysterical, fanatical and thinly veiled expressions of anti-White hatred/self-hatred. Every year they become more and more extreme and the sane, moderate whites and blacks both are swept aside and silenced while the Stalinist SJW machine marches on.

R27 Your parents must be heartbroken that they spent their hard-earned money on sending you to college just for you to come out parroting this crap.

Are you fucking kidding??? What a bunch of utter nonsense. Simply because a few people who use the term SJW derisively may be racist does not mean that all people who mock the extremes of SJW “cancel culture” are racist and therefore against equal justice. Get real. We’re not and you’re wrong. Remember, these are the same, mostly white folks who, three years ago, decided to shut down LGBT Pride events because they didn’t meet the SJW’s ultra loony leftist demands.

You really go off the rails with that Karen rationalization. “Fair treatment.” Ha! 🙄 More like special treatment based on white privilege.

In a weak attempt at sounding erudite, you’ve redefined these terms to suit your own needs and then scolded everyone for using them, even though no one has agreed with your absurd premise. R30 was right:

by Anonymousreply 34May 24, 2020 1:51 PM

Jackie Kennedy hated her wedding dress. Not sure who insisted she wear it (guessing her mother) but she hated the design and big flowers. It had nothing to do with race. You might want to check the book the head Butler at the White House wrote. He loved Jackie Kennedy.

by Anonymousreply 35May 24, 2020 1:54 PM

I'm sure I read a biography of Jackie (I think it was America's Queen, by Sarah Bradford) that said Jackie ensured black people were invited to every event at the White House, even though racial integration was still controversial at that point. Don't quote me on that, though.

Regardless, this sort of thing is why You-Know-Who won.

by Anonymousreply 36May 24, 2020 2:03 PM

[Not sure who insisted she wear it (guessing her mother)]

Yes it was Janet as Lowe designed her dress when she married Auchincloss.

“Major Industry”, you mean like right wing talk radio, Fox News and the Republican Party. All of whom have spent decades stoking anger and fear in whites and making them the chief victims of racial oppression in a nation that is 70+ percent white/owned and operated by a small number of mostly white males and for that matter all oppression.

As a matter of fact, this tweet (stating the obvious) has oppressed you and the others here. If the tweets were about Jackie being homophobic, the responses here would be much different. Dataloungers would ramble on and on; as they have done with any number of dead celebs.

Having said that. Jackie was a woman of her time. Racist and probably homophobic too. It is what it is. Certainly Dataloungers have said many less than flattering things about Jackie and any number of her family members. These tweets are no different. The only thing that is different is the venue. Otherwise the commentary is no different than the nonsense posted here.

by Anonymousreply 47May 24, 2020 8:42 PM

That elderly negro WH Butler who just died of Covid at age 93 was promoted to Butler from a comparatively lowly position. Promoted way back in the early 1960s by Jackie, personally!

During the run for the 1960 Presidential election, JFK had Jackie hold some money for him. When asking for it later, she told him that she had given it all to "the most lovely Pastor of a black church" she had met at some recent function.

90% of Datalounge = excavation of the past and praising or denouncing celebs many of whom are dead. How many times how we heard how wonderful Judy Garland was because of her relationship with gays. By the same token how many times have we heard the opposite and heard Garland and others be denounced for their overt or covert homophobia. The only real difference here is the venue.

Jackie was indeed a racist and a classist. The historical context doesn’t make that less true. She was a woman of her time. She and JFK and most whites at that time were racists. She was also many other unpleasant things that have been discussed here over and over again. Jackie also had big feet, a boyish figure and eyes that were to far apart. She also had a disgusting cigarette habit. Datalounge has repeatedly denounced Jackie’s sister Princess Lee, both posthumously and prior to her death, for her homophobic comments a hundred yrs ago.

Come down off your collective high horses. We know Datalounge agrees with her ignorant pre civil rights movement opinions. Which is what is generating this faux outrage.

R89, Jackie's mother and step father fulling intended to fund the wedding on their terms. They were planning on a much smaller and more private wedding than what actually happened. Joe Kennedy took over the whole plan because he felt that JFK's wedding was a public affair, and many, many people who could help in advancing his political career would need to be invited. Hugh D Auchincloss: "Well if that's the kind of wedding you're wanting, then you can damn well pay for it!" Joe Kennedy: "Money? Is that all? No problem."
