This some shit y’all.
Pier 45 is DEAD TO ME! San Francisco landmark burns down
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 26, 2020 12:25 AM |
It's like Notre Dame all over again

First Pier 1, now Pier 45!
Will Piers Morgan die next to make the trifectta?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 23, 2020 1:07 PM |
The first 2 serve(d) a purpose. Piers could drop, and I'd not bat an eye.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 23, 2020 1:09 PM |
Too bad it’s not Pier 39.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 23, 2020 1:10 PM |
Fuck. That’s where the Musée Mécanique is
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 23, 2020 1:15 PM |
Smells like some broke because of lockdown business cashing in on an insurance claim.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 23, 2020 2:27 PM |
Here’s another pic. This looks really extreme, was it a fuel storage area? What’s so flammable there?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 23, 2020 2:42 PM |
The most incredible thing on Pier 45 is the USS Jeremiah O'Brien, which was protected from the fire by fire boat. The majority of the pier is just a warehouse where they process fish, and store crab pots. The pier itself is concrete, so at least only the structure will be caput. Musee Mechanique is/was in the front of the pier, so if that's gone, it will be a real shame.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 23, 2020 2:58 PM |
Musee Mechanique is the only reason to go near that area. I hope it survives.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 23, 2020 2:59 PM |
Maybe they were able to pull items out of the museum. I hope.

by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 23, 2020 7:13 PM |
Too bad it's not Prez 45.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 23, 2020 7:17 PM |
First Pier 1 and now Pier 45??? How much more can we take? You officially suck, 2020!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 23, 2020 7:25 PM |
Is there any update on this? How is Musee? Did it survive?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 25, 2020 9:12 PM |
I was hoping it was Piers Morgan.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 25, 2020 9:15 PM |
[quote]Danny Z giving the thumbs up. Musée Mécanique has survived. We’ll be here when you are.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 25, 2020 9:41 PM |
Musée Mécanique Is fine.
As for the rest of the pier, I suggest it is converted to a complex of public toilets and low income housing for the needy.
The waterfront location will be so inspiring.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 25, 2020 9:41 PM |
Very original, r13.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 25, 2020 10:04 PM |
Pier 45 is an insatiable bottom.

Are familiar with the concept of what a PIER is?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 25, 2020 10:08 PM |
Thank you for the update, guys.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 25, 2020 11:00 PM |
Thank God the Balclutha is safe!

When I was a child the older bits from Musée Mécanique was housed in the Cliff House. Below is a photo of the toothpick carnival scene. That's the kind of stuff we kids liked back in the olden days.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 25, 2020 11:07 PM |
I remember Musée Mécanique in the Cliff House, too. And of course Playland-at-the-Beach.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 25, 2020 11:36 PM |
We lost Pier Angeli too.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 25, 2020 11:55 PM |
Insurance scam.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 25, 2020 11:57 PM |
ARE THE GLORYHOLES OK
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 26, 2020 12:03 AM |
Wait, that's not Sam Watterston at R16? ( mock me if you must)
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 26, 2020 12:03 AM |
R27, the gloryholes are fine but there's a sale on charred wieners on a stick at the Wharf.
