Trump doesn’t actually want the churches to open. He knows that it’s up to the governors, so he’s doing the political version of “Ask your mother.” He wants to be the dad who would totally let you do what you wanted, if only mom would allow it.
It’s a tactic to shift blame, and nothing more.
