My husband used the N word twice this week.

We’ve been together 7 years and I’ve never heard him say this before. Should I leave him? We live in Atlanta.

by Anonymousreply 78June 4, 2020 7:46 PM

Tell him you'll leave hi if he ever uses that word again. And then, if he does, seriously, leave him.

by Anonymousreply 1May 20, 2020 8:37 PM

Tell him that you can do better and pack your bags.

by Anonymousreply 2May 20, 2020 8:38 PM

...is he black?

by Anonymousreply 3May 20, 2020 8:38 PM

Stealthy deplorable division thread!

by Anonymousreply 4May 20, 2020 8:40 PM

Gurl, he's been cheating with a brother uses the word casually and it's rubbed off on him!

by Anonymousreply 5May 20, 2020 8:48 PM

Do I have to be the one to say it?

by Anonymousreply 6May 20, 2020 8:52 PM

OP: Are you black?

by Anonymousreply 7May 20, 2020 8:52 PM

Could you post wedding photos for us to peruse?

by Anonymousreply 8May 20, 2020 8:52 PM

give us the context! not to excuse him, but just because we want to know

by Anonymousreply 9May 20, 2020 8:55 PM

100% absolute get him the fuck out - if this is true.

Since it's not, based on your overtelling "We live in Atlanta."

Grow the fuck up.

This is probably the same OP who in the past two days has been fingered by his boss and jammed a pink dildo up his twat.

Develop a better routine. Shecky!

by Anonymousreply 12May 20, 2020 8:57 PM

Never happened.

by Anonymousreply 13May 20, 2020 9:03 PM

I really do always wonder why people make up stupid shit.

by Anonymousreply 14May 20, 2020 9:15 PM

Was he singing along to a NWA rap?

by Anonymousreply 15May 20, 2020 9:24 PM

present hole and make your decision based on how deep he plunges his penis inside thee, never ever through away a good shtupper.

by Anonymousreply 16May 20, 2020 9:28 PM

[quote]I really do always wonder why people make up stupid shit.

They probably have nothing to say.

by Anonymousreply 17May 20, 2020 9:55 PM

Verificatia?

by Anonymousreply 18May 20, 2020 9:58 PM

He’s projecting. Fucking a black man or woman, or both, if he’s lucky!

by Anonymousreply 19May 20, 2020 10:03 PM

Deliver his cracker mouth a vicious slapping!

by Anonymousreply 20May 20, 2020 10:09 PM

I know for a fact that the n-word is casually thrown around among whites in the Atlanta gay community, often as a "joke." I finally had to tell my brother to stop using it, but he refuses.

by Anonymousreply 21May 20, 2020 10:10 PM

I'm curious as to what the content of why he was saying it?

by Anonymousreply 22May 20, 2020 10:15 PM

R22 - his black partner suggested putting a Thomas Kincaid painting above the mid-century modern sofa and he just couldn't hold back a "N-er please!"

by Anonymousreply 23May 20, 2020 10:21 PM

[quote] never ever through away

Oh, dear!

by Anonymousreply 24May 20, 2020 10:31 PM

Leave him?

Way to go from 0 to 250 you MARY.

How did you last 7 years together if you can’t confront him with how you feel about it before THAT is your plan A?

by Anonymousreply 25May 20, 2020 10:54 PM

Why is everyone assuming it’s “that” N-word? I have a feeling OP is trolling us, and the big reveal is that the word is actually something less objectionable, but still good reason to break up with BF over. Like “Nescafé.”

by Anonymousreply 26May 20, 2020 10:54 PM

R24 - I am all for good spelling, grammar and punctuation but how gay do you have to be to "oh, dear!" even the most obvious spell check errors of a poster who was obviously typing quickly on his/her phone...smh

by Anonymousreply 27May 20, 2020 10:59 PM

by Anonymousreply 29May 20, 2020 11:23 PM

I'm biracial and hear it all.

But if straight African Americans who use the word "faggot" were cancelled by their "husbands" or wives or partners, the black birth rate would collapse.

Quit. Giving. Power. To. Idiots.

And don't come here with your trolling shit, OP. We see you.

by Anonymousreply 32May 20, 2020 11:30 PM

What N word? Nylons?

by Anonymousreply 33May 20, 2020 11:33 PM

If you would rather talk to strangers about your relationship than your partner in real life, you clearly lack the intelligence and maturity needed to be in a relationship. Do him a favor and cut him lose. He is wasted on you.

This is such bullshit OP. Get the fuck over it. I'm sure there's been a bunch of shit that's come out of your mouth that your husband hasn't liked either. If that's the worst thing you've ever heard him say you should only be so lucky. I hope he dumps your ass and hope he dumps you for a black guy.

by Anonymousreply 40May 21, 2020 1:14 AM

Maybe you should move out of Atlanta

by Anonymousreply 41May 21, 2020 1:20 AM

There’s only one thing you CAN do, op. Go to the nearest bridge and hurl yourself off it while weeping for your lost love.

by Anonymousreply 42May 21, 2020 1:20 AM

Drop him off in Grove Park and if he makes it home you can forgive him.

by Anonymousreply 43May 21, 2020 1:39 AM

by Anonymousreply 44May 21, 2020 1:41 AM

by Anonymousreply 55May 21, 2020 2:26 AM

by Anonymousreply 56May 21, 2020 2:35 AM

never happened

by Anonymousreply 57May 21, 2020 2:55 AM

by Anonymousreply 59May 21, 2020 4:08 AM

OP is either retarded or trolling or both.

by Anonymousreply 60May 21, 2020 4:36 AM

I guess we're to assume that it was a racial pejorative since you mentioned that you live in Atlanta. But here's something for the folks who make it sound like Atlanta is 99% black. People who say they live in Atlanta are usually don't mean the city of Atlanta but the 29 county metro- area that makes up Atlanta. The population is right at 6 million people with 53% white and 34% black. Being around a lot of black people has never been a detractor of non-Blacks using that word. So living in Atlanta doesn't mean anything.

My question is why are you asking strangers? He's your husband. If it bothers you, tell HIM and ask HIM to not do it again. Either he loves you and will resolve whatever is going on that's making him say the word, or he'll try to justify it and keep saying it and prove that he's not the person that you fell in love with and married. Or is he?

by Anonymousreply 61May 21, 2020 5:02 AM

Nene?

by Anonymousreply 62May 21, 2020 10:31 PM

Nelly.

by Anonymousreply 63May 21, 2020 10:32 PM

Nanoo

by Anonymousreply 64May 22, 2020 1:25 AM

OP’s husband didn’t use the N word. It was OP herself who said it and got bitch slapped.

by Anonymousreply 65May 22, 2020 1:40 AM

Noxzema?

by Anonymousreply 66May 22, 2020 1:56 AM

The n-word is an adaption of the Spanish word 'negro' which is a derivative or descendent of the Latin adjective 'niger' which means black. So where does this morph into a derogatory, racist insult. I know that it is, but it's origins are not.

by Anonymousreply 67May 22, 2020 2:11 AM

R67 Calling someone an adjective depersonalizes people by characterizing them as a physical/psychological trait or mental condition. Especially when it’s turned into a noun, like “black/negro,” “cripple,” “retard,” “homo,” etc. All of these words are innocuous when used in different contexts - as adjectives or verbs.

by Anonymousreply 68May 22, 2020 2:21 AM

[R67] Perhaps it has something to do with the use of the word by racist slave owners in the US, and then racist white supremacists post Civil War, and then racist Jim Crowers, and then racist Jim Crow esqs and now the use by white racist nationalists?

If you investigate the usage by those folks as you did the origin, I bet you'll probably come upon the who , what, when , where and how of the word morphing into a derogatory racist insult.

by Anonymousreply 69May 22, 2020 2:57 AM

No, it predates your examples.

by Anonymousreply 70May 22, 2020 3:05 AM

[R70] I didn't say that it didn't pre-date it. My point was that perhaps it was the way that it was used by those in power over Blacks during the given periods that led to its morphing into a derogatory racist insult.

by Anonymousreply 71May 22, 2020 3:08 AM

I blame that racist Mark Twain.

by Anonymousreply 72May 22, 2020 3:19 AM

please bump this thread

by Anonymousreply 73May 24, 2020 6:20 PM

Ok, I’ll put in the request.

by Anonymousreply 75May 31, 2020 3:34 AM

by Anonymousreply 76May 31, 2020 5:47 AM
