What are you doing for Memorial Day?

Nothing? Staying inside, like you did for the past two months?

Yeah. Me too.

Thanks, fucking CHINA!

by Anonymousreply 51May 26, 2020 3:57 AM

Reliving past memories of good times.

by Anonymousreply 1May 20, 2020 4:37 PM

That sounds positively boring, R1.

Haven't you been doing that since March?

It gets old after a while.

by Anonymousreply 2May 20, 2020 4:39 PM

Memories are all I have, r2.

by Anonymousreply 3May 20, 2020 4:40 PM

Restrictions have been eased in my neck of the woods, so I've actually invited my cousin and her husband over for a cookout. We'll position our lawn chairs far apart from each other and talk and eat hamburgers.

by Anonymousreply 4May 20, 2020 4:42 PM

Furiously dildoing my ass until I prolapse

by Anonymousreply 5May 20, 2020 4:42 PM

R5: Thanks for the chuckle. Me, no plans thus far. I will remember both my grandfathers last of the great generation. My mom too - she's been gone for decades. My dad died in 2015 and all I could say about him was good riddance.

by Anonymousreply 6May 20, 2020 4:45 PM

stupid holiday, Never had done anything am possible doing nothing again

by Anonymousreply 7May 20, 2020 4:46 PM

Kudos for knowing your American holidays, OP. Extra potato for you!

by Anonymousreply 8May 20, 2020 4:49 PM

It's my sobriety anniversary -- I quit drink Memorial Day 1992.

by Anonymousreply 9May 20, 2020 4:52 PM

Congrats ,r9!

by Anonymousreply 10May 20, 2020 4:53 PM

I remember the good old days, when we used to talk about the big holidays, and making potato salad, pot lucks, mimosas, and gatherings with friends.

It's all over now, thanks to corona cunt.

by Anonymousreply 11May 20, 2020 5:04 PM

Tidy up the grave site, plant this season's flowers, make sure the flag is flying, and maybe run into some friends from my home town there at the cemetery doing the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 12May 20, 2020 5:33 PM

Congratulations, r9!

Let’s crack a beer and celebrate!

by Anonymousreply 13May 20, 2020 5:41 PM

[quote] Tidy up the grave site,

Not yours I hope.

by Anonymousreply 14May 20, 2020 5:42 PM

Taking my hubby’s whole hand while I sing he’s got the whole world in his hand.

by Anonymousreply 15May 20, 2020 6:36 PM

Aw, that’s sweet, you two holding hands like that.

Oh, wait.

Ewwwwwwww.

by Anonymousreply 16May 20, 2020 6:57 PM

I'm going to be living with my two new dads, in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

by Anonymousreply 17May 20, 2020 7:14 PM

Nothing. Wouldn't mind going hiking in the Adirondack's but it's too early and I don't want to hike a wall of ice.

I'm considering replacing two closet doors with textured 6 panel doors and new hardware but there isn't a straight wall in my condo and it will require removing trim to make the doors fit and about half dozen trips to home depot. I've already bought the wrong hinges. Debating if it's worth the trouble.

by Anonymousreply 18May 21, 2020 1:39 AM

These supposed to be thunderstorms for several days in a row starting Saturday, so I’ll be inside (as usual).

by Anonymousreply 19May 21, 2020 1:42 AM

Removing the fast growing brushy over-winter growth of Chinese elm from the backyard. It's incredibly invasive, like kudzu. Roundup doesn't really kill it, but salt does (usually.)

by Anonymousreply 20May 21, 2020 2:11 AM

Working. Like I have every Memorial day.

by Anonymousreply 21May 21, 2020 2:14 AM

Absolutely nothing.

I won't bother with social activities this year.

It's just not worth all the hassle.

by Anonymousreply 22May 22, 2020 6:24 PM

I've been cooped up in the house so long that I forgot Memorial Day was this Monday. A coworker in a Zoom meeting wished me a good holiday and I wondered what she was talking about.

by Anonymousreply 23May 22, 2020 6:36 PM

This weekend would normally kick off Summer, and a ton of fun activities, but China has basically ruined that for everyone around the world.

by Anonymousreply 24May 22, 2020 6:38 PM

I may go to a nearby 19th century arboretum-cemetery and take a hike. Their extensive old growth creates an environment that encourages some cool wild animal. I live in a city so I have to make an effort to see nature. I have to remember to bring my camera.

Making PB&J on the grill because every fat whore in America has binged on all the available beef

by Anonymousreply 26May 22, 2020 6:58 PM

What state are you in, r26?

by Anonymousreply 27May 22, 2020 7:03 PM

Having some friends over to the boat for a BBQ. May take it out, or may not if I decide the Michelada's look too good to pass up. Everyone be safe!

by Anonymousreply 28May 22, 2020 7:23 PM

R27 Colorado....where some of the meatpacking plants have been hit. And even the local stores - with the way, way better cuts of beef usually - are out.

by Anonymousreply 29May 22, 2020 7:57 PM

I' m waiting for the first person who wishes me a "Happy Memorial Day." They have no clue the day is to remember members of the Armed Services who have died.

by Anonymousreply 30May 22, 2020 8:03 PM

Happy Memorial Day!

by Anonymousreply 31May 22, 2020 8:04 PM

Neighbors are gathering on the street to celebrate. It's bring your own food, drink, and chairs, stay at least 6 feet apart, and eat.

Some will get drunk, there will be hilarity. It's a silly group.

Will also think of the veterans in my family who are gone now.

by Anonymousreply 32May 22, 2020 8:04 PM

That's becoming a thing now, isn't it?

I think some charcoal company started that.

Anywho, I'd hate to live in this neighborhood. These people all look batshit crazy.

Joining some friends for a barbecue. I'm bringing pork spareribs and a marinated summer salad. It will be very nice to see them again.

by Anonymousreply 34May 22, 2020 8:26 PM

OP, you're racist TRASH

by Anonymousreply 35May 22, 2020 8:27 PM

Enjoy eating through your mask, R34.

by Anonymousreply 36May 22, 2020 8:42 PM

Removing the fast growing brushy over-winter growth from my crotch.

I say that every year, r30.

By definition, no memorial day is “happy.”

by Anonymousreply 39May 22, 2020 10:45 PM

The same thing I’ve don erry day e for the past 10 weeks.

Nothing!

by Anonymousreply 40May 22, 2020 10:55 PM

Staying inside, as I have every weekend. I am a health care worker and go to work everyday, where none of the patients wear masks and do not know what social distancing is. I'm in Florida-- enough said.

by Anonymousreply 41May 22, 2020 11:05 PM

Supposed to be cloudy and rainy all weekend, so not much. Might try to grill a couple of Beyond Burgers if there's a lull in the rain.

by Anonymousreply 42May 22, 2020 11:16 PM

Wondering when I’ll be able to have sex again.

by Anonymousreply 43May 22, 2020 11:42 PM

Was there ever a movement to expand the day to memorialize all the beloved dead? The sweethearts of our fighting men, those who only stand and wait, also serve, after all. Besides, we need a day for such remembrance, regardless of military service.

by Anonymousreply 44May 23, 2020 7:47 PM

It's GINA, OP

by Anonymousreply 45May 23, 2020 7:49 PM

Watching Saving Private Ryan. At least the first half. I listened to the reading of Abraham Lincoln’s letter about 12 times. It’s at the link. Give it a listen before you go to bed.

Fingering my pussy then dipping my fingers in some cream cheese so I can make crab Rangoon.

by Anonymousreply 49May 26, 2020 3:01 AM

I always wonder about the six foot thing, does it really work? Maybe outside, but inside I think all bets are off.

by Anonymousreply 50May 26, 2020 3:06 AM

If you can smell someone’s breath, or feel it, you’re too close.
