Hightown on Starz
This series just started on Starz. Takes place in Provincetown. A lot of the outdoor scenes were filmed there. Lot of familiar sites. They also did filming on Long Island so it’s not 100% Ptown or Cape Cod. But if you’ve never been there it does give you a feel of the place. I’m not into drugs so I’m not familiar with that part of the culture but I’m sure it’s there. Also the series has a lesbian slant.
The info says it was filmed in spring of last year. Picture the streets with three or four times the people and you’ll know what summertime is like.

I'd say it has a straight slant in that it primarily features a hot young lesbian having sex and doing drugs with other women.

I like it, but as R1 has already pointed it, it's being told from a straight man's perspective, who knew that Provincetown is such a hot bed of heterosexual activity? Notice that nearly all the lesbians are young, nubile & of the the lipstick variety, gay men are just background noise.
I'm glad that a lesbian character is the lead role, but, at times, the show seems to be a straight man's jerk-off fantasy.

I wonder how Belinda Carlisle feels about the fact that the version of "Vacation" played over the opening credits is the pre-Go Gos one that Kathy Valentine recorded when she was with the Textones.
