Yet, Trump trucks on.

I kind of figured he was on his way out when I saw his last appearance on Modern Family. He looked like death walking then. RIP
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 16, 2020 6:55 PM |
Aw fuck
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 16, 2020 6:56 PM |
Sadly, Fred Willard did not make it to the Willard Scott centenarian mark.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 16, 2020 6:57 PM |
He was great--anyone remember him in Spinal Tap?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 16, 2020 6:57 PM |
He is the new comedy Space Force which comes out soon, he’s quite visibly frail in the brief shot of him in the trailer.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 16, 2020 6:58 PM |
I'm finding it hard to believe he was 86. He never read as that old to me. I'll have whatever he was having to keep up that amount of energy.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 16, 2020 7:00 PM |
Fred Willard appeared in nearly everything, because he was dependably entertaining.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 16, 2020 7:01 PM |
Loved Fernwood. Mary Hartman spin off.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 16, 2020 7:02 PM |
He was hilarious in everything he did. He will be missed.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 16, 2020 7:07 PM |
He was always on Kimmel. Loved him in all the mockumentaries.

i thought about that as well but actually his character was about to die. So i assumed they put make up on him to look like one. or maybe they have to.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 16, 2020 7:12 PM |
I always thought he was Canadian. He gave off that vibe, if that makes any sense. But turns out, he was from Ohio.

Same with me I thought he was in his 70s.

Oh no!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 16, 2020 7:45 PM |
I'm surprised. I thought he could stick it out.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 16, 2020 7:53 PM |
Remember when he got caught wanking in the porn cinema?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 16, 2020 8:09 PM |
^^ Yes, and if IIRC, PBS subsequently dumped him for a show/series he was going to do on that network.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 16, 2020 8:13 PM |
I liked that Kimmel kept doing those corny sketches with Fred. It was old Hollywood showbiz schtick
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 16, 2020 8:19 PM |
He was one of a very few actors I *literally* loved everything I saw him in, from Fernwood to Best in Show, to The Closer. OMG, he was HILARIOUS in a Christmas episode of The Closer.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 16, 2020 8:21 PM |
I love that he kept working right up to the end.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 16, 2020 8:22 PM |
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 16, 2020 8:28 PM |
He'd show up in shows that you wouldn't expect to see him on like Stargate SG-1.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 16, 2020 8:51 PM |
oh shit, he was a blast on Best in Show. One of the best comedic performances ever. RIP
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 16, 2020 8:58 PM |
R16 I also thought he was Canadian.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 16, 2020 9:14 PM |
he was memorable as the scheming used-car salesman on Mama's Family

A weirdo, pervert an sex fiend, best left forgotten to time.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 16, 2020 10:19 PM |
No he wasn't R33. He's to be admired for his sexual stamina at his advanced age.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 16, 2020 10:22 PM |
Shut up, r33.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 16, 2020 10:23 PM |
Fred and Martin Mull were actually sort of handsome at one time
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 16, 2020 10:26 PM |
Didn't he have internet access?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 16, 2020 11:22 PM |
You can’t get what he was looking for on the Internet.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 16, 2020 11:38 PM |
Which is, R38?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 16, 2020 11:49 PM |
Live dick, darling. r39
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 16, 2020 11:53 PM |
That's too bad, he was good in everything. He appeared recently in one of the last episodes of Modern Family. He did seem a bit slow and feeble though.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 16, 2020 11:58 PM |
Goddammit.
RIP, sir.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 17, 2020 12:04 AM |
I think he may be the only actor to have a live-action role in a Pixar film (WALL-E).

He was nice looking when he guest starred on The Golden Girls.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 17, 2020 1:43 AM |
Has Martin Mull commented?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 17, 2020 1:45 AM |
Fred was so perfect as Robert's deadpan, uptight father-in-law on Everybody Loves Raymond.
Does anyone remember his appearance on Saturday Night Live WAY, WAY back? There was a skit where he appeared in nothing but tight speedos , and God was he hot!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | May 17, 2020 2:30 AM |
Loved Fred Willard as Martin Mull's sidekick, Jerry Hubbard, on the Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman spin-off, Fernwood 2Night:
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 17, 2020 3:17 AM |
Fred Willard was so great in 'Best in Show," one of the funniest movies ever:
