Do you think this is true? I know some other terms used in many other states that aren’t used in the Tristate Area, like Pop instead of Soda or a Sucker instead of Lollipop

I noticed a lot of people from the south use the word whenever interchangeably with the word "when." It makes absolutely zero sense.
"Whenever I went to the store, it was crowded."
"Like, yesterday whenever you told me about your friend, I didn't understand what you said."

5 or 6 examples are not exactly revelatory. Their statement that they’re not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings is nice — frankly, I think of TikTok-using young people to be the height of privilege.
