I just saw this on IG.

by Anonymousreply 1May 14, 2020 11:39 PM

I bet none of them live there. Just operatives bused-in.

by Anonymousreply 2May 14, 2020 11:43 PM

This country is going to hell. I hope they all catch the virus.

by Anonymousreply 3May 14, 2020 11:49 PM

R3 Prayer circle to make this happen. Hope they meet their Lord and Savior soon!

by Anonymousreply 4May 14, 2020 11:53 PM

Bet that redneck would have stayed 6 feet away if the reporter said "why are you getting so close to my ass? Are you a f@g?"...one way to get deplorables to back off FAST

by Anonymousreply 5May 14, 2020 11:59 PM

I guess the "well educated" in LI have no job?

by Anonymousreply 6May 15, 2020 12:22 AM

Don't worry, R3. If Covid 19 doesn't get them, cancer will. It is Long Island after all.

by Anonymousreply 7May 15, 2020 12:45 AM

This and NJ seem identical.

by Anonymousreply 8May 15, 2020 12:46 AM

Republicunt crisis actors.

by Anonymousreply 9May 15, 2020 12:47 AM

It does seem like they get a "protest pack" on the Internet from some "central operation"

by Anonymousreply 10May 15, 2020 12:50 AM

R8 - I was under the impression re opening isn't as popular in NJ

This extended stay put order is going to backfire on the Democrats!

by Anonymousreply 12May 15, 2020 12:53 AM

R1 It’s all over Twitter too. This reporter is milking the publicity for all he’s worth.

by Anonymousreply 13May 15, 2020 12:57 AM

No it’s not.

by Anonymousreply 14May 15, 2020 12:57 AM

R14 Uh, yeah it is.

by Anonymousreply 15May 15, 2020 1:00 AM

If covidiots don't want to be on TV, they shouldn't be outside holding signs and screeching lies. Stupid Trumpanzees.

by Anonymousreply 16May 15, 2020 1:07 AM

[quote] I bet none of them live there. Just operatives bused-in.

They live there all right. In 1972, Suffolk County LI gave Richard Nixon the largest plurality in the nation. They gave Trump the largest plurality in NY state in 2016.

I live in the Hamptons & the year-round residents are exactly like this in Southampton. I’m surrounded. East Hampton votes democratic, though. But hardly anyone lives there in November.

by Anonymousreply 17May 15, 2020 1:07 AM

[quote] R2: I bet none of them live there. Just operatives bused-in.

I can’t judge this. My MAGUT nephew made a complaint to the Press about a group of protesters not being from the area, not realizing that he had crossed over from the next-door town himself, so he was foolish, but in general, we are all Americans and our idiotic options are all fair to express.

This make me sad because my great nephew is being raised as a magut in Long Island. I’m powerless over it.

by Anonymousreply 18May 15, 2020 1:18 AM

What does this even mean?

And what’’s The Press?

by Anonymousreply 19May 15, 2020 1:26 AM

I grew up near here. This is Commack, right where the ice skating rink used to be.

by Anonymousreply 20May 15, 2020 2:45 AM

Long Island is more Republican than the Jersey burbs of New York r8.

And what r17 said, LI is not some deep blue bastion. Clinton won Nassau by a small margin, and Trump won Suffolk.

by Anonymousreply 21May 15, 2020 2:55 AM

"You're FAKE NEWS, unlike the REAL scoop I get from randomly forwarded YouTube videos and things my friends copy and paste on Facebook!"

by Anonymousreply 22May 15, 2020 2:56 AM

Is that a trump flag in the background?

by Anonymousreply 23May 15, 2020 3:02 AM

Commack....no surprise.

They make the white trash in flyover look like Newport blue bloods.

by Anonymousreply 24May 15, 2020 3:45 AM

Why are these protests always made up of so many unattractive people?

by Anonymousreply 25May 15, 2020 3:47 AM

If you're not familiar with Long Island, it is home to some of the most unbelievable trash in America. Disgusting garbage people.

by Anonymousreply 26May 15, 2020 3:52 AM

They're all so fat!

Maybe Cuomo should declare Weight Watchers an essential business and let it open.

by Anonymousreply 27May 15, 2020 4:04 AM

I’m not familiar with this reporter, so he might be innocent, but the scene is like when prey fights back against a hunter. Sometimes that can be satisfying.

by Anonymousreply 28May 15, 2020 4:18 AM

My first sales territory as a new NYer was LI. My midwestern mind had visions of Gatsby, the Pruitts of Southampton and Old Westbury. Holy shit was I surprised! It was like being in Ohio with much ruder people, worse traffic and vulgar potty mouths. That was just Nassau County. Suffolk was even worse!

by Anonymousreply 29May 15, 2020 4:20 AM

LOL ^

by Anonymousreply 30May 15, 2020 5:41 AM

The reporter was adorable. I was worried for his safety

by Anonymousreply 31May 15, 2020 7:29 AM

“They're all so fat!”

And it wasn’t much of a chase — I was actually composing my news story on my phone as I slowly walked ahead of them.

by Anonymousreply 32May 15, 2020 8:07 AM

[quote] Stupid Trumpanzees

This was in New York, idiot. A blue state.

by Anonymousreply 33May 15, 2020 10:05 PM

The Coyle Twins are from Long Island, so it can’t be all bad.

by Anonymousreply 34May 15, 2020 10:15 PM

R33, where did the poster say blue states have no "Trumpanzees"? I'm from NYC and in fact from an area full of "Trumpanzees," We know they exist here, but thankfully, they have no actual influence.

by Anonymousreply 35May 15, 2020 10:29 PM

Does r33 seriously think blue states have 100% of people who voted for Clinton?

They still have their red areas, as mentioned earlier one of the two counties of Long Island voted for Trump

by Anonymousreply 36May 15, 2020 10:36 PM

Suffolk County Long Island voted Lee Zeldin into Congress. By 15,000 votes.

by Anonymousreply 37May 15, 2020 10:41 PM

[quote]I guess the "well educated" in LI have no job?

Commack is filled with racist low IQ Brooklyn transplants who moved out to Long Guyland when their Brooklyn neighborhoods started to get "too dark" in the 1960s. Certain pockets of Long Island are filled with Repugs. Same with Staten Island.

by Anonymousreply 38May 15, 2020 10:42 PM

These are Trumpers, however are getting paid to demonstrate.

These people are too selfish to even wear a mask and social distance. You think they’re actually going to make signs and protest, when they could be sitting at home, watching Netflix or HBO, collecting their paid unemployment and/or furlough pay?

Sure.

I think not.

by Anonymousreply 39May 15, 2020 10:50 PM

These are the people that my grandparent's didn't consider white. Now we reap what they sowed.

by Anonymousreply 40May 15, 2020 10:53 PM

Well, it is Rosie O’Donnell’s hometown.

by Anonymousreply 41May 15, 2020 11:00 PM

[quote] when their Brooklyn neighborhoods started to get "too dark" in the 1960s.

Were the lighting bills that much cheaper on Long Island?

by Anonymousreply 42May 15, 2020 11:01 PM

[quote] Commack is filled with racist low IQ Brooklyn transplants who moved out to Long Guyland

Queens. Howard Beach, South Ozone Park.

Actually, a lot of them started out from East NY, then went to Howard Beach, South Ozone Park, then to Suffolk County Lawn Guyland for “a backyawd the kids kin play in.” My husband’s family was part of that whole exodus. The parents started out in East NY & *their whole neighborhood* moved to Lindenwood Howard Beach. His parents went to Bayside from Howard Beach, but a lot of them moved “out to the island.”

by Anonymousreply 43May 15, 2020 11:01 PM

[quote] I’m not familiar with this reporter, so he might be innocent, but the scene is like when prey fights back against a hunter. Sometimes that can be satisfying.

I like Channel 12. I’ve never seen their reporters behave badly. The protestors are mad that channel 12 is covering the virus. They want them to stop broadcasting Cuomo, Bellone, etc when they give updates. But they’re happy to watch Trump’s Daily shit show.

by Anonymousreply 44May 15, 2020 11:05 PM

R29 is right - I've never heard such vulgar and trashy language in my life as what I heard on Long Island. Aggressive and classless.

by Anonymousreply 45May 16, 2020 2:06 AM

I’ll sic my Latino Husbear on them!

by Anonymousreply 46May 16, 2020 2:18 AM

Haven’t been on DL long, huh, r45?
