One good thing about the Great Depression is that people got thin.

Chinese buffets will continue.

They'll go back to eating roadkill.

I'm figuring that buffets will have to have servers that will give you a plate of what ever you want. No more self serve buffets. I will usually do a breakfast buffet in Las Vegas, but that's it. I can't imagine Las Vegas buffets staying the same.

Shedding tears, because I love buffets.... End of an era.

(And I’m not even a deplorable, though maybe after a meal at a buffet, I may tend to look like one.)

I wonder how they are coping with the closing of casinos? I've been there occasionally and these hicks are hardcore, going every day and sitting there for hours.

I haven't been to a buffet in years but I'll miss the salad bar. Even if buffets were to make a come back many of the restaurants such as HomeTown Buffet won't survive Covid-19.

I was on cruise once that had experienced a norovirus outbreak. In order to minimize infection, the buffet was set up so that someone had to serve you everything. You couldn't handle any utensils. No salt or pepper shakers on the tables-- just packets. For the stations where it wasn't practical to have someone stand behind and serve you, you had to have a server follow you around and ask him or her to serve you.

I do not want to think about raw fish at Golden Corral.

I don't think that's Golden corral. I see the dumplings and the bottle of sriracha in the front. Must be an Asian / Chinese buffet.

The real question is what the fuck is wrong with that woman's arms arms? Is it just a photograph taken at a bad angle?

I personally don't mind if they go to cafeteria style just as long as they make it easy to get seconds. One thing i hated about Furrs is they made it super inconvenient to get seconds even though you got the all you can eat meal, and the old patties that worked their for 30 years didnt' really feel like grabbing it for you
