Was Lucy murdered?
I always found it suspicious that she suddenly "dropped dead" at age 77.
From wiki:
[quote] On April 18, 1989, Ball complained of chest pains at her home in Beverly Hills and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was diagnosed with dissecting aortic aneurysm and underwent an eight-hour aortic transplant. The surgery was SUCCESSFUL, and Ball was soon able to walk around her room with little assistance. She received a flurry of get-well wishes. Shortly after dawn on April 26, Ball awoke with severe back pains then lost consciousness; she died at 5:47 a.m. PDT at the age of 77.

Can a heart attack cause back pains?

That's a lovely picture of her. Gorgeous blue eyes.

She was a 77-year-old alcoholic who smoked like a chimney.

She was planning to be murdered, but Gary talked her out of it.

Possibly. The other australopithecines were annoyed that she was always asking to speak to their managers.

She was a very, very unhappy and unpleasant woman.
Her daughter is a gem though.

I know that Lucy Beale was murdered, but I hadn't heard anything about Lucy Ricardo, Lucy Carmichael, or Lucy Carter.
But I do know that Lucy Barker killed Lucille Ball's career.

Her voice was coarse and gravelly. Her lungs were black husks from a lifetime of heavy smoking. She was lucky to make it to 77.

Henna is known to turn arteries into strips of hard licorice.
Those four packs of Phillip Morris per day were ancillary.

R26 I doubt it was only $250 in Forest Lawn. Also, Gary would have been in charge, so the blame falls on him. She is now back home in New York, in a family plot.

I knew her. She was gruff, but had a wonderful, kind heart beneath the exterior.
The media was terrible to her as she got older. The shit she got from the press would never fly in today's society.

She was murdered by Ricky after he found out she got him fired from MGM.

R28 People, including the press, just could not accept that she got old. She was really the first celebrity to be faced with having to compete with basically three younger versions of herself playing constantly. The older movie-stars had it easier, because their movies weren't on constantly.

Yes, op, she was murdered. The four packs of cigarettes over 30 years had nothing at all to do with it.

From [R26]'s video: "Here is Forrest Tucker. Most of him, anyway." Anybody know the story on this? He had a legendary penis. Did someone "rescue" it and keep it as a souvenir?

R1 yes, in women heart attacks can present that way. It has been described as feeling like a painful bra, a tightness around the upper body -- front and back.

If you ever saw her on a talk show or a game show during the last 10 years of her life, she usually seemed stiff and belligerent and ill-tempered and all around unpleasant.

Surprisingly this never comes up around here, but I remember watching a documentary made by a gay guy who in his early 20s formed an intimate friendship with Lucille Ball in her final years. He would of course play backgammon with her and I think she may have left him her Chrysler LeBaron convertible when she died...

Did Lucy suffer brain damage the last ten years of her life because of the drinking and the heart cutting off oxygen to her brain due to smoking is a better question. She seems like an advanced alcoholic in her later tv interviews
