Julia Roberts in Notting Hill played herself in all her glorious cuntiness.

Jon Hamm as Don Draper. Alcoholic damaged womanizer. And he does smoke, even though he tries to hide it.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 7, 2020 4:34 AM |
R8 I always thought that another actor could have done so much more with the role compared to Hamm. He spent most of the show looking puzzled or blank.

RDJ in Less than Zero. At the time. But now he tries to jam "I'm Ironman"down our throat. He'd the last superhero I'd call. Hell, I'd call Ant-Man first.

I love Paul Rudd. But he plays at same damn character in these lame romantic comedies. The nice guy that can't catch a break. But in the end, everything works out. Mute on Netflix is the first time in a while I've seen him do something different. He's making a career on being the white privileged boring nice guy.

Louise Brooks as the dancing, drinking, slutty, utterly immoral Lulu in "Pandora's Box." G. W. Pabst, the director of the film, told Brooks "Your life is exactly like Lulu's, and you will end the same way. Lula ended up getting killed by one of her tricks. Aside from that, Pabst was exactly right. Louise Brooks WAS Lulu.

I was shocked, absolutely shocked, I tell you to learn from a recent thread that Ann Jillian herself played, Ann Jillian, in The Ann Jillian Story. I swear I thought she did not survive the breast cancer and was played by TV’s Lisa Hartman in the movie of her life. So sad that she took away the opportunity for a younger, more talented actress to have a breakout role in an highly acclaimed TV movie of the week. And if Lisa was in it they could of rewritten the ending to have a death scene since Lisa’s excellent dramatic skills could have pulled it off unlike Ann.
